    Best resort ever

    This is the best resort I have ever been to great entertainment . And multiple pools a amazing babysitting center . And great and fancy restaurants. Please go there best decision you'll ever make also house keeping is amazing clean rooms and great service everyone was very nice and friendly I'll say it again please go

    Been to better looking resorts ... rooms are average.. but didn’t spend much time in them... far from elevators.... but walking is good... food is delicious but limited choices for “all inclusive options”... would I stay again... sure; because you can’t beat the beaches in Bahamas!

    Five needed Holiday

    Will break it down to give you a sense of the highlights. Check in, flight down, perfect arrival customs etc piece of cake. Minor confusion on finding transfer. Found Majestic Tour area outside no problem, lady said I need the LETTER and I said what letter showing her all my paperwork received from you, NO you need to go back to Westjet Vacations as you came outside and get the LETTER, so back i went and sure enough the Westjet lady had my LETTER which said welcome etc and my name and hotel location Melia. Back I go to Majestic with my LETTER and instantly I am her best friend. Shuttle magically appears and off we go, driver was great giving us the rundown of the island and what did occur with Dorian etc and how they are pretty desperate for help. Arrival to Melia tipped driver and we head in. Check in was sweet easy and very friendly by Taj. We head to our room to dump our stuff and grab a Bahama Mama on the way served by a gentleman in the lobby. Great way to start. Room overlooking the ocean etc PERFECT, quick change and lunch is required. Head to the beach and find The Grille and enjoy a lovely lunch few beers, cocktails for Deb and agree this is why we came. Beach Day and more beverages, excellent !!!! Dinner time has arrived and we change and head back down for an minor mishap. We assume since we have no reservations for anything we will go to The Market Buffet only to find for dinner it is closed all week. Now depending on who you talk to (staff) the reason changes it is because they are cleaning it, or because of very few guests, or it is closed on Mondays. So we head to Aqua the Italian restaurant beside this one but we have no reservation and are told not happening even though they might be 8 people in the whole place. Maybe we could have gone back up made a reservation and come back down but if you are not on the list you are not getting in. We ended up in Tapas and it turned out actually very good, tastes of a lot of things and we called it dinner good times. Breakfasts daily at The Market very good lots of choices staff very good no worries or issues. Again good times. Made reservations at Aqua for the Tues and bingo we get in, amazing, on this night Rodney our waiter was as professional and smooth as any place we have ever been. Food very very good and the wine even better. Weds dinner at Cilantro Mexican with reservations LOL and again all very good. Thurs back to Aqua and a bit of a slip up on food but minor, I had what my wife had two nights previous and it was good but my wife's was amazing. Wine was good though!! So on the whole meals very good , few things outstanding and only a few minor slips. Not something we experienced but talking to people who attempted it Tour buying off the beach seemed not a good idea as things never materialize as they should. Shopped Nassau bought a few things etc again good times. So to wrap up a very very good time away , Hotel was A1 cleanest washrooms in the world, Staff wonderful shout out to Kent at the Beach Bar and Alissa and others who made it a great time. Flew on the Disney plane back with puppy's rescued from Dorian as a bonus.

    I wish things were better...

    I feel very conflicted writing this review because I probably travelled during one of the worst times ever.... one day before the hurricane. I pray that the island gets up and running soon because it’s truly gorgeous. I will say this hotel did the best they could especially how nobody knew how bad the storm would’ve been. Unfortunately communication was extremely fuzzy mostly because everybody was flying off the seat of their pants. Food It took a few days to get all the restaurants are running back from the storm. Even with that let me add that out of all the all-inclusive restaurants I’ve ever been to Dominican, Cuba, Jamaica, other Bahama locations... this was truly the poorest food and menu choices I’ve seen in my life. Where was the spice!?? Probably the best things I’ve got on the whole trip was the pancakes and chicken wings that was ordered via room service plus the tempura cauliflower dish from the Japanese restaurant. Oh the burger and fish from the grill was notable. EVERYTHING else was bland OR EXTREMELY cold. Beach/pool The pool and beach were great! Maybe because nobody was at the resort during the time that we were there. We basically had a full section to ourself. I loved it!!! There was one section near the cabana area on the beach that there was construction going on and there was white foam that kept on falling from the roof. But if you avoided that -everything is good. Last Friday, drink service was restored and I can admit they were doing a great job to make sure that everyone was hydrated. Accessibility with an infant Let me start by saying this hotel is not wheelchair accessible/stroller- if you are a level guest. For a level, you have to get off on the fourth floor and there is a few steps for you to get up to be able to get to their lounge. We totally didn’t know this and brought a bigger stroller on our trip which made things a little difficult. Having to carry it up and down the stairs for the first few times. I would definitely recommend bringing a carrier. Which we used for the rest of the trip. Also for the longest time our card wouldn’t allow us to get to the first floor which is where the pool and beach were - so we’d have to stop at the third floor and make it down with the baby. Parents- There were cribs accessible to us but it did take a bit to get to us. Air Conditioning We had no problem with air-conditioning in our room. The hallways were hotter than usual and don’t have much air-conditioning at all. Also the lobby didn’t have any air-conditioning when we were there either. Essentials It was not hard to get towels in room or on the beach. One day they had sunscreen which was nice! One thing that did suck was... that I wish we had the fridge replenished with beer and the snacks daily. All we got was water. Entertainment The worst entertainment I’ve seen compared to all the resorts I’ve ever gone to. The entertainment crew wasn’t even friendly. They pretty much looked like they didn’t want to be there. Again.. it totally could’ve been because of the storm -but the most entertaining night was last week they had Bahamas night. Oh there was a 70’s night as well that didn’t seem bad but started pretty late. Their form of entertainment was putting up big movies on screen with little sound... HUH!?! Which was pretty much met with random people asking each other what movie is this. Don’t even let me get started with daytime. Absolutely nothing was going on. Overall, I’m not sure if I would return. I will say that the staff was really nice and especially helpful because I was travelling with my husband and baby. Leandra in Housekeeping was one of the sweetest individuals I met at the resort. She reminded me of my grandma! She always checked in on my family. Secondly, Terran( Not sure if that’s how it’s spelled) in Level was extremely helpful too. If he’s available go to him. We took a trip to Baha Mar and was completely blown away. If we had the opportunity to go again we would go there - Only con is that it’s not all inclusive.

    Anniversary vacation

    Absolutely beautiful and worth the money. Having the app made it better. Was amazed by the toilet having two buttons to flush but the water pressure was low. Overall the hotel was great. I would definitely revisit
