Beautiful boutique style resort !!!
We booked this trip last minute on a whim for some R&R. I didn’t know anything about this property other then what I had read from the reviews. It is a very quainte and well maintained hotel with excellent service from start to finish. The food by far is the best I have had at an all inclusive resort. At every dining experience they asked if you had any allergies or sensitivity to any foods. If you were on a diet you could easily eat very healthy at this resort the the entire week. The portion sizes are just perfect not too big so you never have that full feeling like you do from a buffet. All restaurants are Al le carte and prepared fresh. The afternoon tea is well worth visiting as well. The pool is very quiet with no music playing, but complete poolside service for drinks and food. The loungers are very comfortable and the staff will go out of their way to provide you with shade from an umbrella. If you can spare a few extra $$ the spa is well worth a visit. We had a 4 day package, everyday was a little different day and extremely relaxing. All of the staff are very professional as well. Definitely a nice place if you are looking for a week of relaxing!!

We just returned from a week stay within the Impression Suites at the Zoetry resort and what a fantastic experience and vacation. This is our fifth visit to this Zoetry and we decided to treat ourselves to their new suite building and we are so happy we spent the extra money. PS - we have the capability to stay and have stayed at other great resorts, but we still try to return to Zoetry at least once a year. What does that tell YOU? This is a resort that you go to and relax, get great service and food. I would not call it a ‘beach’ or ‘ocean’ swimming resort and it is on the higher end of the AMR chain. Entertainment is limited. You make it your time, not the resorts meaning no major activities here. A PLACE TO RELAX. Food – Reading about people complaining about quality or quantity of your food, you must have been at another resort? At all their restaurants, the food was excellent and plentiful, if you left hungry it is your own fault not the properties. My favorite was Dragons – spend the extra money if you are NOT staying within Impressions however at RESTAURANT KAAX, ‘The Boss’ pork shank. This shank was very large and filling. Check ahead if you see it on their menu, it flies out the door and are limited. The menus did vary from day to day and certain restaurants were open and/or closed. Spa – We did not use their spa, I went off property to the Los Colibries Mayan Jungle Spa, separate review was posted. However, we did enjoy their Thalasso Spa Pool every day and enjoyed our time in the salt water with jets. Beach – Depending on the wind, some days the beach was very clean. The water was brown but clean. On windy days it was hard for their team to keep cleaning the beach. However, they tried their best to maintain a clean beach. This trip we did not take the sunset champagne cruise and used our own transportation to/from airport and to/from the Jungle Spa, so I can not comment on their new transportation service. Guests – Some kids & babies – hopefully that will change to an adults or teens/adults only. There are NO activities for children so leave them with Grandma & Grandpa or their Aunt/Uncles. Make it your special time together. Ages ranged from mainly couples from 20’s to 70’s, women/women, men/men. It is NOT a singles resort but there were some. Some families with teens & kids, not sure why? Room/Suite was beautiful and the service cleaning in the morning and turn down was excellent. Bell Hops out front guys are the best and very helpful. Thumbs up to that team. Sorry about names, my bad. Overall service was Excellent, not sure why anyone would complain. So here is our list, not in any order of staff highlights: Impressions Building – Of course the three butlers – Victor Maqueo, Isaac Garita & Christian, made for a very memorable experience. Red’s Kitchen – Jhosua – The chef, his service, morning specials and overall creations were all excellent, along with Hazael his service was excellent. Dragons – The food and tasting menu, Peking Duck all fantastic and the Flaming desserts extra yummy – Palo and Juan Carlos Fredericko provided excellent service within Dragons and pool/cabana side – Thumbs up. Main complex - Library – Alberto – made fantastic (“Paloma” ) drinks while Manual at Hippo was also very good. KAX in the evenings – Edgar Salgad (SP) – Manager provided great service. OVERALL Excellence was Jorge Luis Hau with Luis Amoroso placing a close 2nd Note: there were others that provided great service and were friendly and we were treated exceptional by everyone. If you can justify spoiling yourself for a true adventure and wonderful experience, stay at the Impressions building. You can NOT beat their suites or services available, however staying in any room, at this resort is and has always been special that we are looking forward to booking stay #6.
An Oasis of Beauty and Tranquility
After a long journey from Europe we arrived at this beautiful hotel on the Riviera Maya on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and since our arrival have experienced only kindness, warmth and excellent service. The architecture and design of this hotel are breathtaking. Low rise accommodation strung along a white, sandy beach, the suites are large and luxurious each with a terrace and sea view. Bathrooms and floors are marble and mosaic. Wooden pillared walkways connect different areas of the hotel, bars to pools and restaurants and everywhere there are wonderful art works, both ancient and contemporary, to be enjoyed. The Library Bar has the air of an elegant gentleman’s club and is a great place to gather for a pre dinner drink. The three restaurants provide a variety of cuisines from Mexican to Haute Cuisine. All of them are excellent. The gardens are an oasis of green with many bird species. Peacocks appear from nowhere and disappear just as fast. Opportunistic iguanas observe the diners. They are fascinating reminders of the antiquity of this unique landscape. From Salvatore, the General Manager to JJ in the Library Bar, from Fernanda in the grill restaurant to the newest staff recruit there is an unfailing courtesy towards guests. We are taught a Mayan greeting on arrival and learn to place a hand on our hearts when we wish someone well. The world could learn from such respect to fellow beings. The Wellness Centre and the Maritime Centre offer a range of services for those who wish to relax or to be active with water sports. The ethos of this resort is respect for the environment, for guests, for staff members and for the local culture. It is an oasis of beauty and tranquillity. Finally my thanks to Daniel, the Yoga master with whom I practiced every morning, a very advanced soul. A wonderful place to visit
My wife and I just returned from spending two weeks in the Impression Suites at the Zoetry resort. The service that we experienced during our entire stay was some of the best we have ever had during our 40 years of travel. Right from check-in through departure our every need was taken care of. Our Butler team of Christian, Isaac and Victor was always available to make sure that we had whatever we needed and went beyond our expectations in setting up reservations for meals, spa treatments, room service and excursions. We really enjoyed our breakfasts each morning in the Red Kitchen where Joshua prepared beautiful and delicious custom breakfasts and Hazael provide great service. La Canoa restaurant was our favorite where Mario provided great service each night and the pastry chefs made special aerospace themed deserts to help celebrated my recent retirement. Our waiter Pablo did an amazing job in the Dragon restaurant and put on a show with the flaming deserts. A special note of thanks goes out to Gonzalo from the management team who ensured that my wife was helped during her unfortunate ills during the first week of our stay. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.
Peaceful stay - great service, redundant food
Second visit. We really enjoyed this quiet, peaceful resort. There are lots of birds to see - parrots and other colorful birds, peacocks and pelicans. We did not upgrade to Impressions and other than an additional restaurant option, I don’t think we missed out. We typically underutilize Butler services when we have them. We felt the pool-side service by Eduardo, Frederico & Daniel was excellent. Very caring and attentive - moved umbrella without request to ensure shade. We also enjoyed morning yga on pier with Daniel. Daily schedule of open restaurants not always accurate and the menus did not vary from day to day as they did on our last visit. Maybe some small cutbacks have been made - Bed linens were not top quality and were pilling. This is a minor complaint, but if these were my home sheets, I would replace them. No lotion or shower gel provided. Our first dinner, Kaax, was excruciatingly long. Not sure what happened but it took two hours for 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Fortunately, this trend did not continue and breakfast at Kaax the following morning and dinner at La Canoa were both much improved. We did not return to Kaax for dinner again. We stayed here in 2015 and noticed they no longer serve champagne in the trip from the airport. You also must schedule one of several group options for return flight, which was not a big deal to us. Put us at the airport maybe 30-45 mins earlier than necessary. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. Our stay was 5 nights and I don’t think I’d want to stay longer due to lack of beach and restaurant variety. We departed on New Year’s Eve. It appeared a big party was being planned; however, it required shutting down the main pool for the entire day. I cannot imagine where everyone would go.
