OUR AMAZING HOLIDAY
This was me and my partners first trip to Mexico and after a 10 and a half hour flight from London. Arriving at Breathless was a dream come true. It was completely over and above what we were expecting from it and to be completely honest i wish we could have stayed for longer. Everything from the room, pools, very friendly staff, restaurants, bars and entertainment was 5star. All of the pool entertainers were full of energy and really tried their best to make you feel special in their company they were all a real asset to the hotel and there was a nice balance between activities and chill time. Miguel, Francois and Dora stood out to us- we can be happy with our own company sometimes but it was also really nice to get involved with the activities. The service from the waiters was just spot on. You couldn’t go longer than 10 minutes sitting anywhere around the pool or on the beach without getting an offer for a drink. The beach was unreal. Lovely white sand and the staff were up very early cleaning up the seaweed. The ocean was brown on most days which was a little unfortunate but the hotel done there upmost to keep on top of things. We stayed in an ocean view allure junior suite room, which looked over the main pool and ocean in the background. Very modern look with good room lighting and huge double shower. Such an amazing view inside and out on the balcony. Had everything we needed but if we were to go again we would probably pay more and go for a swim up ocean front room. My only complaints would be: The alcohol in the mini bar was beer only. I thought perhaps maybe a few small bottles of spirits would have been good. I went down to use the steam room and sauna one morning only to be told I would have to pay $30 to use it. I’m not sure if this is the normal thing out here in Mexico but being from Europe (pretty much everywhere else in the world i have stayed) if you pay to stay in a hotel for the night then you can use the spa facilities for free and only pay for having treatments i.e massage, facial. I did feel a little aggrieved that we had paid a lot of money to stay here and staff wanted to charge me $30 for using the steam room and sauna for 10 minutes each. Overall though an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend it to either couples that like party or groups of boys or girls. It really has Something for everyone. Thanks for having us!
Fantastic week in paradise
My friend Kat and I stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and clean. In addition to a daily cleaning service, in the evening your bed is turned down for you and a chocolate on your pillow! The restaurants are varied and all have such a high standard of food. The staff in the restaurants are super friendly - special mention to Manuel in the Spoon restaurant for always ensuring we had everything we needed :) The entertainment team worked hard to put a smile on our faces (not that that was difficult in paradise!) and they helped us to meet friends in the resort. Special mention to both Miguel and Daniel for making our week so memorable! The bar staff were very attentive and always happy to create a new cocktail as per your flavour preferences. Special mention to Angel for making a new ‘Kat special’ every day. There was a fair amount of evening entertainment and only on one occasion did music keep us up late due to noise in our room. Our only bug bear was we feel the resort can easily do more to be more environmentally conscious. E.G. more water refill stations rather than having to use multiple 500ml bottles per day.
Leaving today after a 5 night anniversary stay at Breathless
This is our second stay at Breathless and probably our last. Wife and I have been happily married for 29 years and enjoy our 2 times a year get away at adult resorts. We have stayed at most of the AMresorts, Silversands being one of the better. We gave Breathless anorther try decauae the last time we came it rained everyday for 5 days and could not enjoy the resort. The resort itself is very nice the ocean front rooms are everything as advertised.. fantastic view!!!! The main issue with this resort is it has lost its identity. Can't figure out if it wants to be a singles bacholorette/bachelors resort or a couples resort. When you advertise a untie the knot party you can have an idea of the target audience.. and its not couples... they àlways take i. The couples but its not the target customer... We only go to adults only resorts for that reason, adults having fun acting like adults. The type of crowds being enticed to go are a bunch singles who crowd the bars taking up the bartenders time and show little respect for others. Also so you know... its not the main reason not to go but a side note. Breathless now is a non topless adult resort. Any kind of letting loose if the environment warrants it is strictly not allowed. No one wants to here... if you want to go topless go next door to desire. Desire is a totally different environment than a couple of women getting caught up in a moment and going topless in the pool or beach... Not even close to the environment at desire...... Some people might say its disrespectful to the people of mexico but we are going to a private resort not a local public beach. So to be respectful while on tours at public areas. Beaches, don't go topless, but at the resort where you are with other adults dont be so strict. Breathless use to be more opened minded, but they are now very strict. Just sharing some facts. I wont go back because of the environment but the food was very good. Rooms awesome.... pools nice.. beach nice... resort overall very nice. If they moved back to there idebty from 5 years ago i will surely return.. it is a nice resort As far as a majority of couples visiting.. you will actually be in the minority.. If it would get back to its roots tje place can be amazing again....
Rooms were top notch. A variety of pools - each with a different atmosphere. From party hearty to chill out. Many restaurants to choose from. Entertainment nightly. Staff was kind, friendly, efficient. ALL had a great command of the English language (something, even in the states you don't get). Lots of excursions to choose from if you feel adventurous. Hats off!
