Fun girls trip!
The resort was not in Cabo San Lucas as we thought but it really didn’t matter. The resort is clean and well kept, the food amazing just take something besides flip flops to wear to dinner. The hostess at the Mexican restaurant was pretty rude about it but had we known in advance it would’ve been nice. Oscar was the best poolside waiter! He was on it with the cerveza every time! The bellmen and the concierge were fantastic. Beautiful property. Also, had we known you can’t swim in the ocean there (red flags on the beach) we might’ve picked a different resort. The room was in the residence section which was across a road with a partial view of the ocean. The only drawback was road noise...pretty busy street. Would recommend anyway 👍😀
DO NOT STAY HERE
MY daughter was assaulted by staff at this resort and had to leave early fearing for her safety. I have made multiple calls over multiple days to speak and staff continuously gives me runaround and can never put me through to someone who can give me information. BEWARE
I enjoyed my time at this hotel. This was my first time to Cabo as I usually travel to Cancun. The good: I enjoyed the food at the Japanese restaurant the best. You can’t have very much sushi at the hibachi grill so if you’re going for the sushi (which is good) don’t sit at the hibachi grill. The Italian restaurant was second best however no kids under 12... which is strange. We were in a group with kids and that’s probably the place the kids would have liked to eat the most. Staff was super friendly! Jose by the pool is amazing. Angel was our favorite server and got to see him at multiple restaurants. Irma is also a delight and made the kids fee very special. The pools are all great but get up early to reserve a spot in the shade. The workout room is nice and spa was very clean. We did the fish therapy which was an experience! The beach is pretty & super clean. Can’t swim in the water due to very rough waves. If you’re going for the beach, get a hotel closer to town where you can swim in the water. The bad: Took 2 hours plus to get room service, buffet line was long if you went for breakfast after 10am. Not a whole lot of variety at the buffet, same stuff every day- so gets a little old. There was an awful smell coming from near the kids pool bar. Not sure if that is a year round thing but hopefully that gets sorted out sooner rather than later. We had rooms in the building near the road which we saw reviews was really loud, which is true however they do have doors to shut (outside of your actual room door), these work really well however there are 2 rooms per “sound door” and our neighbors didn’t pick up on that so they kept leaving it open.... All in all the hotel was nice and worth it! I’ll try a new hotel next time in Cabo but would consider coming back here in the future.
Hoping for the best.
I really hope this isn't a foreteller of things to come. I just called the resort to confirm my reservations for tomorrow. I was told by the front desk man who answered the phone that they had my reservation for a king room. I explained to him that I was traveling with my grown son and wasn't there still time to change or move us to a room with 2 doubles or queens. He said there was nothing that could be done and to try to contact the third party booking agent. When I asked him his name all of a sudden our connection became very bad and he couldn't hear me. I told him thank you for your time, I'll see you tomorrow.
Not my style resort
This resort may be good for the money, depending on your expectations. Note: for my review I was in an Altitude Ocean Front King. Overall I would not recommend nor would I return to this resort. A lot of things are misrepresented by the resort on the webpage: *Photos on the website are very misleading. Resort is small and a bit shabby which doesnt come across on the website. *Room service doesn't always answer the phone, it's hit and miss. *In-room beverages aren't always restocked. Other things of note that weren't technically advertised but I'd expect at any hotel, including international, even on a budget: *There was no hot water in my shower the first two days. *My entire party (6 rooms) had their A/C go out the night before check-out. *Everything- bars, restaurants, etc are woefully understaffed making for an unpleasant experience for any meal. Only one place is open for breakfast with lines in the sun up to 30min just to check in. *Check-in process is a nightmare and takes an inordinate amount of time. Things that were good!: *The view and proximity to the beach. *Bed was very comfortable.
