2 weeks holiday 30/082019 -13/09/2019
It is at it shows online . Pools are great and staff are amazing . Veronica works pool side providing service of drinks and for me stood out above everyone else ( which is hard as they was all great)she never stopped working and will be a credit to any company she will work for .just a few problems , 3/4 of what you you see is privately owned so the hotel itself is not as big as it looks. 5 star is for building 1 but if you are in block 2 then the lifts are not air con unlike block 1 . Then there is the the rules of the hotel which seem to move when the locals stay . When we was there older teenagers were still in the pool after 8pm and playing loud music . Then flying two drones within the grounds and nothing was done to them but when UK or USA people broke simple rules of wearing a t shirt in the pool or drinks were put a little to close to the pool they seem to be straight on it. It's a shame as the service was great and the pools and food and drink was good as well. I felt slightly robbed as I wouldn't rate it 5* .4 at best only due to the difference in accommodation within the 2 blocks . Entertainment was really restricted and the team never interacted with the guests . I stayed two weeks and didn't even know one of their names yet knew plenty of the bar staff and people who served you at dinner and around the pool . Summing up I had a good time and loved the location ,need to invest alot more on the entertainment and for those who do not upgrade , the hotel should still treat us as 5* as this is how they advertise themselves . If I return to Pacific side mexico again I will be staying at secerets where we stayed 3 years ago .dreams could do with learning from them
Good 5 Star Hotel
We booked a 2-week holiday, and the hotel was amazing and so were the staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. We upgraded to the Club Preferred and Rosa and her team we’re absolutely wonderful the best hospitality we have ever received, also Benjamin always made sure we had a nice cup of tea or coffee every morning, our favourite restaurant was The Grill and the Italian restaurant was amazing, you also don’t have to pre-book just turn up, and you aren’t limited either to how many times you can go. The drinks were all the international brands. Rooms were spacious and spotless, an absolute amazing holiday and definitely a 5 star
Nice resort with AMAZING staff
Our 9 day stay at Dreams Villamagna Nuevo Vallarta was the perfect getaway for our anniversary. We wanted a quiet, restful resort where we didn't have to worry about costs or tips (i.e., all-inclusive). We lounged on the beach for most of the days, choosing to skip any excursions/activities (apart from some boogie boarding when the waves became too tempting). The BEST part of this resort was the SERVICE though!! My wife has a pretty restrictive diet (no dairy, no gluten) due to allergies, and we were initially nervous as to how we could accomplish this in a foreign country while trying to not come across as difficult/pretentious Americans. Luckily, on our first day eating breakfast at the WORLD CAFE, DIANA ROSAS noticed me asking about ingredients and inquired about allergies, then relayed the info to supervisor YADIRA GOMEZ. Yadira immediately and graciously came to my wife and told her about the special options they could make for her that would comply with her food restrictions. Yadira and the rest of her team (Diana, Gabriela, Josue) continued to regularly seek us out every meal we ate at the World Cafe, ensuring we felt welcomed and properly attended. And Diana was always so sweet, cooking up special omelets and teaching me Spanish. Their genuine friendliness and thoughtful service led us to eat most of our meals at the World Cafe. Then, Leo was the best bar tender I've ever met- it was always a pleasure to order drinks during his shift, or even just say hi while passing by. And our waiter Jonathan at El Patio restaurant exuded the same genuine friendliness and quality of service that made it a pleasure to dine there. Lastly, we booked a private dinner on the beach at sunset; unfortunately, it happened to be the night it rained. The other couples canceled, but upon a reprieve, we told the staff we still wanted to do it. A crew from Oceana (I think it was Francisco, Francisco Alonzo and a third) went so completely out of their way to set up our table, find an umbrella when the rain started again, doggedly try (and succeed!) to light torches for us in the rain, and graciously attend to us in the rain. It was such a special night and we were so grateful for how above and beyond they went!!!
This is our 2nd visit to a Dreams Resort the 1st being in the D.R. So our expectations were high. The good out weights the bad but it was disappointing because of the negatives. first the positives: the grounds are very well maintained and our room on the 7th floor ( part of the preferred section) was very nice, clean with good house keeping ( thank you Araceli), bed firm and comfortable with a selection of different types of pillows, ocean view from the balcony really good. Dining: the buffet restaurant was very disappointing with limited selections for breakfast and for dinner on the two days we tired it. Of the gourmet dining the adults only Italian was very good with great service, the seaside grill was the most consistent and the Oceana the most disappointing. Beach: never really had trouble getting a lounger in the shade, ocean was warm and fairly calm, but not a beach to go snorkeling from. Good service from Geraldo getting drinks on the beach. Now the disappointing and in consistencies. Besides Geraldo other servers on the beach sometimes ignored you or did not check back that often to see if you wanted another drink. Oceana restaurant, tables half set , missing cutlery and napkins. Also told that Oceana would be open on 15 minutes for lunch , it finally opened at 2:30pm! Barefoot Grill did not open at all that day for snacks you could take to the beach. Ignored by server in buffet for breakfast, waited for teaspoon to stir my tea...... once I finally got my tea I know it may be low season so they rotate the closing of one of the restaurants most nights of our stay, some nights 2 of them were closed. But the flyer in the elevator says something will be open for dinner and the chalk board at the Oceana entrance says it will be open for dinner but two days running it has been closed. The menus available on the ‘unlimited connectivity ‘ app for the restaurants are out of date. And trying to use the app the request housekeeping for additional toiletries go unanswered. All in all some great team members who go out of their way to offer good service. Oh and unless you have a few $1000 to spare to join the unlimited vacation club politely turn down the offer of the free spa treatments etc. in exchange for you listening to the sales pitch for a good 90 minutes or so. And don’t give you credit card number for a deposit unless you are sure you want to vacation with the same company for the next few years. Other than that we will Probably try another Dreams resort sometime.
Staying here is like a Dream!
My mom and I went to Dreams resort in early June of 2019. Dreams resort really exceeded my expectations for my all inclusive stay in Mexico. The hotel is beautiful, the entire building is white clean looking with 3 lovely pools, the employees are super friendly and the food is really good! The world cafe has the most convenient hours and just wanted to mention Josue Maravillas, Josue Cortez, Yadira Gomez and Gabriela. They remembered us every morning when we went down their for breakfast and always gave us wonderful service while serving their other tables. They always tried to build a relationship with us and were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Just wanted to also say thank you to all the other staff at Dreams, without you all the resort wouldn't have this great reputation without you. Thank you for the amazing stay!
