Zoetry Villa Rolandi perfectly understated luxury!
From the moment we stepped on the luxury catamaran at the pier in Cancun to our greeting as we arrived at Isla Mujeres we were introduced to a vacation stay where heartfelt attention to our every request was given sometimes before we even asked! This is my second holiday at Zoetry Villa Rolandi with my daughter and her family. As a travel professional working with VIP and corporate clients everyday it is wonderful to receive the treatment I arrange for others! A small luxury boutique resort that doesn’t feel crowded. Three amazing pools overlooking turquoise waters. A perfect white sand cove beach with attentive service before your drink is even finished there to get you anything you want, even lunch, make sure you have a cushion on your lounger an umbrella for shade! Two restaurants with outstanding menus. Even though it is not known as a family resort my 7 months old and 2 year old granddaughters were doted on from the time we arrived even creating special puréed dishes for the baby. All I can say is I cannot wait to return to my Mexican “home”. From the great manager who saw us off to David when we checked in to Denis and Ariana in the restaurant to all the staff who always responded with “It’s my pleasure “. Anyone who wants a small luxurious haven on the lovely Isla Mujeres book your next holiday at Zoetry Villa Rolandi!
Spent 7 days at Zoetry Villa Rolandi and can't wait to visit again. We are UVC members and enjoy mostly staying at the different Secrets locations. First time at a Zoetry and Villa Rolandi is quite different it that it is more like a boutique hotel with only 35 rooms. Set up for those that just need to have a quiet, relaxing getaway. Given its size, you really get a chance to meet staff and other guests which we enjoyed. What makes it special is the staff and the food. Food was fantastic at both restaurants. Never a wait and the service was impeccable. Too many to remember but want to give special thanks to Malena, Jabbar, Juarez, Jesus, Edwin, Dennis (the menace), Cristian, Ana, Eligio, Carlos, Hilario and the rest of the wonderful staff.
From arrival to departure, we were treated awesomely! VERY small, cozy, secluded, beautiful, just want we wanted. Food was excellent, ate every meal with there at the resort. House keeping was really the only issue. Took 3 tries to get pillow, towels were difficult also, room/bathroom just not cleaned as well as it should have. With the Zoetry experience, we were disappointed. Staff was great, room service very prompt. We would definitely go back!
Our Home Away from Home!
We had the pleasure of staying at Zoetry Villa Rolandi for two weeks! “Welcome Home” as was our greeting upon arrival never felt so inviting! Berenice and Melena were our UVC hosts and coordinated many details of our member stay for us. Christian, our resort coordinator was amazing!! He is very thoughtful and assisted us with so many activities including bike tour (he took us), snorkelling suggestions, spa bookings, beach massages, wine tasting, Spanish lessons and even taking time to chat with us and get to know us! Juarez, Juan Carlos and Jesus were wonderful beach and pool hosts always making sure we had food and drinks as requested as well as sun umbrellas placed by our beach loungers. I think Arturo was the lifeguard who also helped either with umbrellas or paddle boards when I wanted to go out on the water. We loved the private beach and swam in the water everyday. The pools are also very inviting and there is a very nice salt water whirlpool outdoors overlooking the ocean. We loved the French restaurant called Le Metissage. The young female chef incorporated local Mexican foods and flavours quite brilliantly. Hector (I cannot remember your official title) but he was an excellent restaurant coordinator and always made us feel so welcomed and special! Despite my need for gluten free, Hector and our lovely chef ensured my substitute courses were as equally creative and tasty! We spent many nights at Le Metissage enjoying Hector’s company and the unique cuisine. Casa Rolandi was also very good and we loved spending every morning there for breakfast and a number of beautiful evening dinners as this restaurant juts out onto the water for that spectacular ocean view! Gerardo was our manager there and never forgot any detail about us even though the restaurant would get busy! Thank you, Gerardo! Laundry services were on point as we had two large loads of clothing to launder considering we were staying for two weeks. Our clothing was brought back to us at the end of the day, well cleaned, pressed and organized. We used the spa a number of times and no matter who I had, my experience was great - I highly recommend the mud therapy, my muscles never felt so relaxed! The yoga instructor is very experienced and tailored a beginner routine for me (I hardly know anything) so I did not over do it. I used the treadmill in the small gym and it was fine and the gym room and equipment is very clean and tidy. A shout out to our main desk guy as we rented movies on a number of occasions. One night my husband asked if there was any popcorn and there was not. So what do you think happened? The very next night we went to get a movie, there was an abundance of popcorn!! We all had a good laugh and once again felt very spoiled. The yacht transport to and from the island was very unique and the staff were very helpful with our luggage plus we were greeted with drinks! We used the Amstar transfer service as you find it on the main resort website for a private transfer and there were no issues. The day we left, we were overwhelmed at how many staff came to say goodbye to us in the lobby! I did not want to leave! I whispered to Gerardo as a confession that we were nobody famous so no need to make such a fuss! He chuckled and said “No, no you are special and we like to make our guests feel special.” We are very busy in our lives at home and we came here looking for total relaxation and I can honestly say we got it and most definitely felt like it was our home away from home! Cheers to all of you who are still working at Zoetry Villa Rolandi! We send our hugs and love to all of you! Muchas gracias por todo! Te amamos y hasta la proxima vez!
I want to be back right now. Thank you Juarez, Jesus, Juan Carlos, Christian and each lady who's name starts with 'Mar'
Amanda and I spent a week at the resort and very much enjoyed our stay. We were happy with the small size and very personalized professional service. The grounds are small and fabulously kept, grass manicured with hand clippers, with tropical flowers in bloom along walkways to the pools and restaurants. enough large palm trees stand tall to make just about any view look spectacular with the ocean in the background. The main pool was refreshing and where I stood most of the time, the end of the pool dropping to the beach below and the ocean beyond. People rotated between this pool, the salt hot tub, and the second pool with traditional decking, while alternating time on the beach. Each place has chairs and umbrellas and full service. Food at the pools include Mexican snacks, tacos, ceviche, nachos, also pizzas, Kobe beef and lots more. And a full, creative bar. They have the best array of fresh juices and all the best spirits. I was drinking mezcal cucumber margaritas in the sun and we enjoyed sparkling wine with the many different fresh juices. It is easy to order food to take with you out on the island in your rental golf cart and they can fill your cooler with drinks. We liked both restaurant options as well as room service. The smaller spot,Le Metissage, is the 7 course tasting restaurant. It is amuse-buche style, with dessert and Aperitifs. Here we had variety, fish, beef, lamb, oxtail, and the seafood ceviches octopus, squid, and such over several days. The other restaurant is Villa Rolandi and is great for any meal and open all day. It is open air and spacious, where people went for breakfast. Live music is usually going at one spot or the other for dinner. There are no banquet rooms and buffet lines. Just great seating and personal service. Too much good stuff to mention. The best part was the friendly service and chats with the servers and staff. Over a week you get to know each other and it gets better each day! Servers Juarez and Jesus were great and deserve recognition, as well as Juan Carlos. Our concierge Christian was nice and made sure Amanda knew the best services and saved some money. A front desk man tells jokes and exchanges currency. The private beach is nice. Playa Norte is 15 mins away by cart and worth visiting. But, Zoetry Beach is quite and right there with all the great food and drink. Drink the Green Juice. And eat the grasshoppers if the resident artist offers them. Room 301 had a huge balcony, half private with hot tub and large glass table and chairs.
