2 Week stay @ Dreams Palm Beach
Myself and my wife just arrived back after a 2 week holiday at "Dreams Palm Beach" we arrived 5th September 2019. First impressions were typical of the older style Caribbean Hotels but were clean and tidy and well maintained. Upon arrival during check inn we were offered a upgrade for our room at a cost to us of $55 per night but decided against this since we were not spending the entire time in the room. (the rooms at prefered from the outside looked very similar to normal rooms anyway). Room : We stayed in block 8 top floor. The room itself was clean and tidy but a little aged as i guess its a old complex. We did have to fix our toilet flush but it was a quick fix that i managed myself without the need to ask staff. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels were provided. Pool and Beach area : Some seaweed on the beach but was cleaned up very well in our fist week but very little during our second week. No hassle from sellers up and down the beach. Restaurants & Buffet : Food in the buffet was ok but after two weeks we got sick of the same menu. However there are a few restaurants that can be mixed up and i have to be honest all of our food was spot on could not fault it. The staff at the resort were absolutely fantastic and very friendly they couldnt do enough for you. They work very long and hard shifts and go above and beyond to help you out. one problem we found was when a young girl got accidently burnt by hot water from the table she was sat at (nothing to do with the staff just a pure accident). no staff during breakfast time knew any sort of first aid and if it wasnt for a nurse that was staying at the resort it could of been much worse. ( little girl was ok btw few days later). Good holiday for myself and my wife the weather was very good apart from the last 2 days as a storm was brewing but by that time we were ready to come home.
Feeling like to come home
Our current stay is the 6th at this resort during the last eight years. Same as the last 5 times it was also this time nearly perfect. Many of the people working there we already know and they remembered us as if we've never been away. The resort is now a few years old but they try everything to keep it on a top level. The food is very good and diversified. The environment nice as ever. The first few days there were lots of seaweed at the beach but the stuff tried anything to remove it. Since one week now, the beach is perfect. Unfortunately we have some rain since two days - but this is nature... Since 8 years we're guests now at this resort and is recommendable today as well as it has been in 2011. Many thanks to all of you giving the best every day to make your guests feel like in paradise. You're all very successful in this. And many thanks in person to Valter Espinoza (GM) and Alberto Torre (Director A&B) for all your efforts during and also in advance to our stay. The welcome when we arrived was unbelievable. We've been very touched by this very warm welcome. Many many thanks - we will come back... Gabi and Michael

1 week stay at preferred club
It was a decent hotel. We were transferred last minute after Now Larimer closed down. It seemed odd that we got transferred here and everyone else was transferred to Onyx. Beach- calm but lots of seaweed. The crew did clean ups every morning though. Restaurants- buffet was nothing extravagant. I didn’t see much choice. The seaside had a great preferred breakfast and lunch. Our favorite restaurant was the Mexican one. The Japanese restaurant has a long wait for the Teppanyaki but we’ll worth the experience. We did have to wait an hour to get our food at the Italian one. Rooms- very standard. The rooms were dated and small. We had to force the front door to shut. The sink clogged a few times and the toilet flushed broke three times. Preferred: I did not feel the preferred part was worth the extra money. The mini bar was pretty standard. The only upgrade was the chips and chocolates and a bottle of rum. The room service menu was also pretty standard. Service: no complaints Alex Noudelman
