Don;t waste your money !!!!!!!!!!!
We had to wait to eat in the resturants up to one hour. Then when you finally get in it takes hours to finally get your food and eat. They are so understaffed. This was my last time in Cancun because of my health and I was so disapointted. The rooms in the old hotel where not bad and the maid service kept the room very clean. This is not a 5 star resort by far more like a 2. The beach was so crowed by locals and the other resort next door it was not relaxing at all. We have been traveling to Cancun for 26 years and this is one of the worst resorts we stayed at don't waste your money.
This is a very nice and clean resort. It is large small enough that you are not on top of each other. The staff there is very very helpful and courteous. LOUIS at the UVC desk will take good care of you, ARMANDO, MONIQUE, RICARDO and ISMAEL were awesome with great personalities. JAHIA is the bartender at the Altitude club

Please, put your $ towards a different resort
We stayed at resort 09/7-9/14. We do not recommend the hotel. We have stayed in Cancun many times and this by far, was the worst hotel. I am going to list some of the major negatives 1) no ac in elevators. They break/get stuck all the time therefore when this happens they are so crowded. We are a family of 4. One night it took us 15 min to get down to dinner from 5th floor, as each time the elevator stopped on our floor it was already full and there was no way 4 of us would fit in. No ac plus overcrowding makes the ride miserable! 2)no ac in lobby/lounge areas and since the hotel is enclosed there is absolutely no breeze! during the more hot nights we were all dripping in sweat and couldn't sit in lobby/lounge areas 3)not family/kid/stroller friendly at all. The resort/lobby has steps everywhere and only ramps in some places. if you are traveling with little ones and need a stroller, avoid it. 4) ENTERTAINMENT. No shows during the evening. If you stayed in Cancun before you know that some shows are awesome, this place had NOTHING. 5)Food. The asian and Italian would alternate every evening. That leaves you with buffet, the GRILL restaurant and one of the two. Very small selection. We were never offered a desert in restaurants, so not sure if they just skipped us or it is not an option there. 6) Buffet. So little options offered. And all the normal food would run out fast and take so long to get refilled. This buffet is 1/5 the size of a buffet we are used to seeing in Cancun all inclusive. So if you are frequent flyer to Cancun, you will most definitely be disappointed. 7) SERVICE. the buffet always had 1-2 max servers for dinner, which made getting our drinks almost impossible. They do offer water and a couple of juices by the buffet, so half the time we ended up just getting those because ours never made it to us when we ate dinner. Breakfast always had a lot of servers and they were great, but for some reason lunch and dinner they were no where to be found. 8) Not kid/family/stroller friendly at all. The small play ground was right by the smoking section. I did not want my kids to smell cigarette smoke all the time they played there( especially in the evenings). Resort has steps every where and very few ramps. It was almost impossible to maneuver the stroller and we ended up carrying our 11 month old because got so tired of lifting stroller everywhere. Please, all the negative reviews are true and should not be ignored. Maybe if you have never been at an all inclusive in Mexico you would like it more. We have lots of places to compare it to and usually pay about the same price as this time and this was the worst hotel we stayed at. Thanks for reading.
Booked it a few month ago consider lower that other hotels price and good location. The cheapest room I got was facing the opposite the ocean site. First night couldn't sleep because the loud noise from outside (building air-conditioning or something else I couldn't figure out.) At reception told me if I want the quiet room, I need to move to ocean front but I must pay extra fee because it is an upgrade. The room was the quiet indeed but booking price with extra fee became the same as rest of hotels I omitted. The only good thing I can tell is the beach, probably, one of the best in Cancun area. The dining options is very limited, very small buffet almost no fruits a few restaurant required reservation but not impressive at all. One more problem is steps on ground floor. They appeared unexpectedly and if you looking other way it can be a trouble. Fortunately, I just broke a glass with wine and few dishes with no injuries.
