AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING Me and my wife lived it... Beautiful hotel and the people were so nice. The food was amazing and the area is just great... Very relaxing. The weather was great and the beaches were clean. I would definitely go back again. We loved it!!!
Went for my brother's wedding. Stay was excellent. So many options of restaurants to eat at. Had a wonderful romantic dinner on the beach (an optional service available) and served by two fabulous servers, Juan Victor & Silverdo. They kept up with our table efficiently throughout the night. Fabulous experience all around.
Amazing hotel & Grounds.
we spend 14 nights in this hotel in the junior suite, well worth the little upgrade, great food, great quality hotel and not a disappointment of dreams, we have stayed in a dreams hotel in the Dominican republic and again a great hotel and chain and will deffo use again, the only little thing was we did not get to scuba dive this year, the prices were so ££££££ for 4 hours, but I think that's Mexico in general compare to the Dom rep.
Less Than Expected
This resort was way less than expected for the price. I really haven’t stayed at many resorts, as I have just started traveling out of the US this year, but I was pretty disappointed in this resort. We’ve only stayed at 2 other resorts besides this one and I must say the resort we stayed at in Punta Cana so far has been the best. The cleanliness of the room at this resort was subpar. The restaurants were mediocre. I personally will probably not be returning to this resort in the future.
Diving centre ‘amstar’
Also known as the ‘water and land activities’ area. On the 9th October both myself and my fiancé arrived at the hotel and were looking forward to participating in diving as dreams publicise on their website as having a dive centre which is the main reason why we booked our holiday with them. On our arrival at the building we bought 2 x 8 ocean dive packages, with equipment rental on top this came to a grand total of 850 usd. We attended the dive centre the following day ( who didn’t ask for our PADI membership cards or log books prior) and they advised the ocean was unfit to dive and offered us to go to the cenotes to which we agreed. May I point out at this point that no extra charges were mentioned at this stage. We completed 4 dives at the cenotes over a period of 2 days due to the poor condition of the ocean. When I enquired about when we can do our other 4 dives in the ocean, the old guy in charge of the biggest con business there is, stated that we owed them more money and that we paid for ocean dives and not the cenotes so we owed them the admin charge to enter the cenotes!!! Each ocean dive is 60usd, for 2 dives in the cenotes was 150 usd per person for the first day and 190usd per person for the second day, triple the ocean prices. I refused to accept this and demanded 50 % of my money back as we had only had half of the dives we actually paid for. I spoke with the con artist in charge and he flatly refused to refund me and was extremely rude stating we had agreed to the cenotes even though no extra charges were discussed at the time before taking us. I got no where with the con man so I turned to the hotel to assist me. Considering we paid for 14 nights in the swim out adult only rooms, and paid extra to be part of the ‘preferred’ club, they couldn’t care less and stayed it wasnt there issue because the dive centre had nothing to do with them, despite dreams actually promoting them on their website. Needless to say I also approached Amstar who were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. They denied having any involvement with the dive centre despite their company name written all over the front! So don’t book this hotel if you wa. They are a disgrace and this issue is still not resolved and won’t be until I get my money back
