Beware of Food Poisoning and the Service.

Food Poisoning: Two days into our week long stay, both my wife and I got severe food pensioning from the Poseidon, luckily our child did not also get sick. When we notified the concierge they were dismissive. We began noticing the food handling practices, and if you expect the safety stands found in the USA/Canada you will likely be disappointed. Food/Eating Options: The food quality was also disappointing. Compared to a Carnival cruise there is no comparison. We would rank the meals, even at restaurants needing a reservation, as lower quality than Applebee's or Olive Garden. My wife believes her high school cafeteria food was better. Only half of the eateries listed online will be available, either due to day closures, lack of access, etc. Staff: Unfriendly and often avoided patrons. Waitstaff was often on their phones, or clustered in the corner. It became a running joke with our group that even when an order was taken, we would never know what they would actually bring. From coffees to juices, what was requested was as often as not something completely different. Even requesting water at the restaurant often resulted in only a couple glasses being filled at the beginning of the meal, and the rest of the guests ignored. The concierge was unhelpful getting water bottles delivered to our room all week, or even trying to coordinate approximate timing of room cleaning to accommodate our child's naps. We often asked if there was a ~3 hour window we could get our room cleaned in, and while the concierge promised us a time frame, it didn't actually happen. Facilities: Beautiful resort! Unfortunately the rooms had multiple broke items, from a lack of hot water, broken shower head, to a 3rd floor balcony door that would not lock and posed a risk to our toddler. Every day there were multiple private wedding parties, that often ran late into the night. If you have children, or don't want to party late, the loud music and parties may pose a challenge. This Grand Palladium location also did not integrate with the app, forcing guests to use the concierge service, who booked restaurant reservations but without telling us broke our group up across tables even though we all booked together as one. Inconvenient if you want to eat with your friends. Entertainment: Water light show was broken all week. The other shows at the Theater were lackluster. If you have been on a cruise you will find the entertainment at the Palladium an order of magnitude lower quality. Overall: From unsafe food preparation, to poor quality food and abrasive service we will not be staying at a Palladium in the future and suggest others consider other resorts for your family vacation.

Overall great resort but seriously lacking in accommodations and service.

Let me start by saying that the FS butler staff and resort itself were great. The kids had a blast in the FS pool and the beach was fantastic. Jair, our butler, made sure we were all good. However, it is extremely disheartening that there was a lack of empathy for my family with regards to our accommodations. It seemed as though no one cared that we had to sleep in extreme heat for 4 out of 5 nights. I called the guest services on multiple occasions with no answer. First night, we literally had to head down to the front desk after midnight just to get a response. Finally, a maintenance team came after 1AM with no sense of awareness for the 2 kids that were fast asleep. I asked the lady multiple times to keep her voice down but she just simply ignored my request, eventually waking up one of the kids at almost 2AM. The next time they finally came around on the last night, she slammed the door shut as she walked in with the other maintenance person. Again, this was after midnight with kids asleep. There was greeting or acknowledgement, they both just simply walked in and turned on all the lights. It is highly unacceptable that no one, including management, has reached out to apologize or rectify the situation.

    Could have been better

Our Stay overall was ok but it could have been better if they pay attention to customer as they step foot onto the resort. Greeting us at the lobby should be better and simple small talk with upsell would be need to improve. Food could be more authenticate to Mexico. Drinks could taste better and provide more options for Beers (Only 1).

    Very large hotel.

The room was wonderful. We were in building 14. It was also near to the main poool, so we didn't need a buggy to get there. It felt like being in a city rather than a hotel. Good choice of restaurants and a fabulous coffee shop and bakery. Beach was a long way away. Staff were charming and helpful.
