    Did not meet my expectation

    This resort is the absolute worse!!! The beach is very small and rocky, the resort is understaffed. They’re really pushy about their vacation club presentations. Most of the bars and restaurants they advertise are closed ( I’m assuming due to staff issues). Please avoid this resort at all costs

    My experience at dreams Curacao

    The staff at the resort was excellent but the food service needs some improvement. Staffing levels maybe low as time to fulfill orders was on the slow side but the people are super nice and helpful all the time. I am looking forward to another visit in the near future as they improve.

    Much has changed since my first stay here in 2022.i went back april 2024 Upon arrival for check-in we were not greeted or acknowledge even with suitcases in hand. There were four staff members who instead spoke amongst themselves at the main entrance and disregarded guest . Our room was not ready until 5pm, a staff member never notified us it was done, instead I had to return to check in counter to ask. No welcome drinks no acknowledgement or apology was made for the inconvenience. The main bar, had horrible drinks, I mean, horrible, I ordered a mojito, pretty simple drink, disgusting. I stayed 5 days the main bar at entrance had 1-2 bartenders there at any given day, wait time for a drink was 10-15minutes.bartenders seem motivated by tips (understandable) but the drinks are horrible,(strawberry frozen daiquiri was decent)The older gentleman usually solo by the grill bar was great and the Spanish women with blond hair at the main bar made drinks better. There is no food between 4-6pm YOUR only option is room service (if your request is approved, I had 50% success rate haha)and quick grabs beneath the pool area such as hotdogs, hamburgers/nacho chips, and cheese dip( not appealing personally, this food is served buffet style first come first serve, plates left sloppily around area,dirty napkins flying everywhere, no servers to help with drinks or guest needs in this section. The main buffet area was filled with birds which freely flew in and ate off of guest plates, needless to say don’t leave your plates unattended. Breakfast option was maybe a C+ at best -if flies all over your foods and birds eating off your plate is your thing. Zero sense of urgency from any staff member at all ,to assist or attend guest while in main dinning room.when room serve was deliviered staff lingeried around awkwardly or would flat out ask for tip, very cringe.lolThe cabanas are first come first serve ,guest would leave there belongings on chairs claiming cabanas but would go to the pool area and not return for hours. no staff members overseeing that or regulating so good luck getting a seat on the beach.Hotel provides a mobile application to download for requests, such as room cleaning, and request food, I mostly used it for room service, however not all request are confirmed nor approved but left on “pending” 5 days my room was cleaned twice. Room service would come late around 5pm to clean your room, which is the time people usually return to rooms in preparation for dinner. All in all for the price of $1600 a person I would never return to dreams unfortunately, so many other affordable options and even airbnbs. New management took over and has run down this resort. The staff lack professionalism and work ethic, seen laughing amongst themselves and avoiding guest, the staff looked young 18-23,which explains work ethic maybe. sad to see such a great resort in 2022 turn into this complete waste of money. Dominican republic location however is fabulous!oh and the gate attendants were very nice! and the “pods” placed around the resort that are being sold as premium level guest, are in the middle of active construction zone.

    If Sunscape Curacao is considered low end, Dreams Curacao is a joke

    I'll never visit this hotel again. We checked in as UVC preferred members and that was the smoothest part of this stay. There was a flood on the floor of our original room, so we were moved to a view of rooftops. Not a super big deal since we weren't in our room much, but to sleep. We stayed seven nights. The buffet was closed for four of those nights with only three other restaurants to choose from with 80% filled capacity. The bars kept the tap beer "chilled" by running the line of about two-ish feet into a cooler filled with ice from the keg through the cooler up to the tap. Ridiculous. It tasted worse daily. Ray and Galia were excellent bartenders and took care of us whenever we visited. Sueheidy helped us as a host, server and bartender and was also excellent. There were days the staff from the other bars ignored us, so we moved on. I had two days of scuba, which I rolled in at an odd eating time of 3pm. Needing more protein, the gal from the grill area made me wings, which were excellent the first day, and fried chicken the next day. On our final night we finally visited the Seaside restaurant, which was supposed to be the best at the resort. Because they ran out of beer the servers were forced to walk up to the Rendesvous bar to get beers each time. The food came to us cold. The Portofino Italian restaurant was good the one time we visited. There isn't a lot of flavor in the food for being Caribbean. I expect cajun to be spicy. It was not. Our first room was somewhat cleaned daily. There was always random confetti on the floor after cleaning. The bathroom drink glasses were not replaced daily. On our third night my brother found a crack in the bathroom tub. After just having a flood before we arrived we made sure to tell our reps. They moved us to a new room, not an upgrade, that had no seating chair and the mini fridge was empty. One elevator was not working for a full two days and part of the next two days during our stay. The service elevators also didn't work forcing to carry all of our luggage up to the next floor. They moved us during dinner time when the elevator was constantly full. That was fun. Pierre was a good sport about it tho. He brought us a chair and filled our mini fridge. My brother needs bottled water for his cpap machine. This room was cleaned similar to the first room. Not well. Room service never answered. Front desk only helps with this during late night hours. Room service didn't restock our mini fridge as requested for two

    Not as expected…

    The all inclusive aspect of Dreams was not what we expected. They use an off par liquor for their drinks and the food was below par. We had to seek options off the property for a decent meal. The staff seemed overwhelmed at times and was never in a hurry. Overall i will not book another trip to a Dreams resort due to this experience
