fun but overpriced and could be better

Stayed at the Coral - which was good did not have walk as far if I had stayed at the comfort suites which was definitely cheaper and still had access to the water park at no extra costs- Around the pool area hard to find healthy options to eat - food choices were poor - many pools to choose from - my boys loved the pool with all the slides emptied into - one of the other pools the life guards would not even let my boys jump into the pool - so the pool near the shark tank with all the slides was much more easy going about the boys rough housing and jumping into the pool - The water park is spread out so my boys got their exercise . They are fairly strict about the 48 inches height minimum so my 3 boys are right at the height minimum - so they got on some of the slides but then not allowed on others - it was hit or miss - The Credits they gave you for food were confusing and a pain to track to make sure you used them all - It would have been better just to give us a better hotel rate - Hotel was expensive - with credits it was a bit better but still on the pricey side - we went on spring break in April so that is some of the reason for high prices - supply and demand - although paying $50 for 4 ice cream cones is uncalled for crazy - snorkeling was poor near the hotel - not many fish to see - Hotel was clean and staff were courteous - Pool area was clean and you could get as many towels as you needed - The hotel invoice system as not great so the invoice and the credits was confusing - they did not apply credits properly - and the taxes were not offset by the credits - The all you can eat breakfast was good since it came with the room not sure it was worth the price if you had to pay for it - May go back again so my boys can do the all the water rides - but probably in the summer when the prices are better and the weather is warmer - went to Maha Bay as well for a day - my boys liked the lazy river in Maha bay better so because they could swim in it at Atlantis you has to stay on your floatation device - Seeing the dolphins was extremely overpriced did sunrise with the dolphins at $50 a kid but actually swimming with the dolphins was like $350 a kid for that would have been around $1500 for 40 minutes for my 3 boys ( parents required to come and pay as well ) - so was not worth it to me - the pictures they took at the Atlantis resort - the pixel was only 2500 instead of 6,000 - not really worth buying the digital versions - JPEG only

Nice, but a but the property is a bit tired and management wasn't responsive to problems

The staff was great, but for an 'premium' room that was supposed to have an ocean view we had a great view of the lobby roof rusted steel beams and the side of a hotel. They moved our room and put us 2 floors higher, but CLOSER to what I call the armpit of the hotel, so the view wasn't better. Very disappointing for what we spent, and to do the move we had to 'check out' by 11AM and didnt get our new room until 5:30 that night, so we didnt have use of a room for a full day.

    Wonderful week at the Coral

We just returned from seven nights at the Coral at Atlantis and we were not disappointed. The location can't be beat - close to the Royal and all of the waterslides and close to the Marina with shopping and restaurants. It's a bit of a walk to the Cove beach which is the nicest beach - but it's only about 10 minutes. We stayed in a double queen room and it was huge - plenty of room for four with space for all our luggage. The bathroom was nice (though there was a hair in the tub from the previous guests) - also spacious. The balcony overlooking the marina was a nice added touch. The reason for four stars and not five is the overcrowding of the pool. The chairs are pushed so close together and they are all saved by 9:00 am. So if you're not down there by then, you won't get seating. Otherwise, no complaints! Fantastic vacation!

Rooms were spacious and clean. Can walk to the Royal and Marina Village. Convenient shuttle also available. Staff were friendly. Good and beverage very expensive.
