Change is great - Fort George Hotel

I have stayed at the previous Radisson Fort George and always enjoyed excellent experiences. The newly renovated and staffed Fort George hotel met all my expectations and then some. The newly renovated Fort George Hotel is beautiful, when you walk into the lobby you are greeted with the most zen air fragrance. The new front desk staff were the most helpful … both Jessica and Courtney did everything to ensure we enjoyed a memorable stay. The rooms are boutique chic and modern. The spa was relaxing, and dining at new Tree House restaurant was a 10. Thank you all…will be back.

    Great hotel in Belize city.

Our stay at Fort George Hotel in Belize city was excellent. Our room was modern, quiet and spacious. The gym is a major upgrade from the Radisson which I had stayed in during prior visits. The food /drink service was excellent and the staff was very responsive. In my opinion, it was a good value for a Belize city hotel overlooking the ocean.

Ripoff. Food not worth the price charged

Just eaten at this hotel. A basic salad, which was very salty. It comprised of a lot of lettuce covered in massive slices of cheese, and a few anchovies. This was accompanied by an average macaroni cheese. Truly nothing special. The bill came in at £35 for this and a bottle of water. Good service. Nice surroundings. Food is not good enough for these prices. I ate a far better salad with fish fingers in San Pedro for half the price, two nights ago. Wouldn't recommend. Better food, and better value elsewhere. Very disappointing. Plenty of style. No substance.

Nice hotel but due to demolition work it is very noisy by pool

This is a really nice hotel, staff are very professional and rooms pretty well equipped and clean. Nice shower and comfy bed. Needs a refrigerator in the room and please arrange for safes to be screwed to the wall! Very near to Water taxi and cruise ship terminal and quite a lot of artisan shops nearby. There are some issues in that the demolition of the old hotel across the road is very very noisy if you are in the pool. If you want a peaceful and relaxing time by the pool then this hotel is not for you. There is only 1 sunbed and umbrella that was broken (they fixed it when I asked them to). The pool is split into 2 and the small pool is very murky, needs a good clean. Shout out to Cecilia in reception who was very nice and welcoming, Rashim and Dendra in the restaurant. Loved the smoothies. I didnt go to Spa as it was very expensive. I will be back and hope that so e if my comments have been noted and addressed.

    Fort George Hotel

I had a fantastic experience at the Fort George hotel. Annika Foreman, my tour organizer, went above and beyond devoting herself to me and making the trip an exquisite experience. She ensured the boat had a covering; that I was comfortable, felt safe and all of my needs were met. Because of her, I had the most amazing adventure swimming with nurse sharks! The spa at the Fort George hotel is a delightful addition. My massage therapist Tennille was absolutely brilliant at soothing achy muscles from loads of snorkeling. It was a beautiful, relaxing experience in a lovely facility.
