Service is fantastic at UVC resorts and this was no exception. A special shout out to those who exceeded expectations: Eliosa - bartender Preferred Club, Daniela - beach wait staff, Francisco - Cin Cin waiter and Petro - valet. Food - Egg and fruit stations at breakfast were great but food in chafing dishes tasted like it had been sitting for while. Sushi was great for lunch but hard to get a table there. The Asian and Mexican restaurants were okay at best. Cin Cin was an exception - food was cooked perfectly, came out hot and was tasty. Room - received an upgrade to ocean view with plunge pool. The view was unbeatable. The air conditioning worked well. The mini bar was not stocked on arrival and it was refreshed only one time during our stay. Beach is beautiful - definitely the feel of paradise. Minimal seaweed and raked daily. Waves were big and undertow was strong so swimmers were not allowed very far. We would return again because of the beach and the service.
We had a fantastic time at the Now Emerald! Wonderful room and view, great food with lots of options, great pool facilities with something for everyone. Ideal beach access with plenty of seating. Great drinks and service, and a fabulous staff! We really enjoyed the entertainment crew! They did an awesome job with poolside and beach activities, and the evening activities were really wonderful too. Overall a perfect vacation. The facility is also really well taken care of, and we saw renovations and updates being done as well as a phenomenal job of daily maintenance. There are LOTS of stairs, and they have plans to put in more handicap ramp access, but it's still possible to access most, if not all of the features the resort has to offer.
We stayed here for eight days. The resort is older and in need of some updates. However, the staff were excellent. James on the entertainment team was great, Erik and Luis at the moments bar were awesome. Our room was comfortable and clean and all of the amenities were in good shape. The resort layout is strange, requiring you to go up a flight of stairs then down another to get where you are going. The only elevator in our building stopped working one day and we were on the 9th floor, other than that we had a great vacation!
Truly awful!! This was mid-sold as a ‘new’ hotel!!!
Had to put at least one ‘star’ as it wouldn’t let me do none!!! I’m astounded that I’m seeing some really great reviews on here. Who’s making them?? I’ve travelled the world for over 30 years and stayed in some pretty mediocre places and have to say I’ve never seen anything like this!! I was expecting a new hotel opening in June from my booking. I had a sneak look at Trip Advisor the day before I came and felt sick. Unfortunately all the horror stories are true! I really don’t know where to start....moved room 3 times.... safes not working...AC not working....rooms damp and having to change bedding each night....pools/tubs water brown with thick tide marks around....blocked toilets....windows ill fitting with gaps.... I did however have a nice massage by Martha. Food......average at best but all inclusive means just that. Didn’t have to pay for any food or drinks. The hotel location is fabulous, right on the beach so why couldn’t NOW close it, gut the place and sell rooms then? This must be seriously damaging the NOW brand and I hope it is as I’m led to believe the other hotels are top drawer. Naturally I’ll be taking this up with my travel agent and ABTA when I get home

Nice Hotel but definitely not a 5*. It was OK value for the money. We stayed there in January 2020 for 6 nights. When we arrived around 11pm we only had a cold water from the shower. We were so tired that we did not care anymore. Next day I went to talk to the front desk. They did not fix it. We had to wait every day a long time for hot water. Our room was on 6th floor. We had an ocean view from the side. Music from lobby bar NEVER stopped. It was very loud wellness music for us and we could not sleep well. We very liked room service (which was included) for breakfast with ocean view. Breakfast was served just in one (Carnival) of 6 restaurant, which was inside without any view and soo crowded. We were there just once, but CIN CIN restaurant was exactly what we really enjoyed. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Jorge at the reception. I recommend this hotel more for Family not really for couple of friends.
