Hotel Molokai features open-air, oceanfront bungalows located on exotic Kamiloloa Beach, adjacent to Hawaii's only barrier reef. This hotel is the ideal setting for an authentic Hawaiian island experience and the perfect location to explore Molokai, where the natural beauty is astounding.

Looking to "get off the grid?" Molokai holds fast to its natural roots, offering pristine beaches, the steepest cliffs in Hawaii, a fascinating history, and absolutely no high rises. Known as the birthplace of Hula, it has been deemed the Friendly Isle.

Styled after a Polynesian village from a time when outrigger canoes were the only transportation, Hotel Molokai is your secret hideaway from the frantic pace of modern life. These are quaint bungalows positioned east-to-west, allowing the breezy trade winds and soothing sound of the surf to gengently lull you to sleep each night. Rooms include down comforters, internet access, mini-refrigerators, coffeemakers, and cable television.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of paradise during the day. When the sun sets, cool down with nightly poolside entertainment while dining at the popular oceanfront restaurant.

We really enjoyed the beauty of God's creation on Molokai and the quiet restfulness of Hotel Molokai. Parking spaces were limited and too tight to be able to get out without bumping the cars on either side. We are not into the alcohol scene but at least it was not noisy.

We look forward to our next visit

We loved our second stay at hotel molokai! Our young family of 4 was here in March of 2018 and this time we decided to bring the grandparents along. We love the laid back vibes, retro architecture, convenient location, great views, and welcoming staff! We stayed in one of the easternmost rooms and did not love the smell (gas or sewage) or the road noise. But that will not deter us from future stays. The room otherwise was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Be prepared for rooster wake ups at any hour! The kids loved the hammocks, pool, and wading along the beach. We all enjoyed the restaurant and like music. Mahalo!

    Bring Cash

There is a shuttle that'll get you where you want to go but its cash only. So is the local favorite bakery with their delicious baked fresh bread. The hotel has a atm machine but there's no guarantee's that it'll be working. If you're a light sleeper you may want to ask if there are curtains in your room as the property is lit up at night. All in all the staff is very helpful and full of aloha.

    In need of an update

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have beach gear available without charge. However: The room needed a good scrub. There was an ant issue. Our internet didn't work consistently, constantly dropping or not connecting at all. And the outside world felt like it was inside with loud roosters and banging doors.

    Hotel Molokai

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Molokai located right on the ocean. We had dinner overlooking the Molokai fishponds while listening to live music. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly too.
