Customer Ratings & Reviews

We were a little concerned about this resort because of some bad reviews but now we are here I don’t see what people are complaining about. Food is great, room is great beach staff are awesome. If your looking for a great all round 4 star hotel this is awesome
Let me preface this by saying we stayed three weeks here and therefore feel we have a well earned point of assessment. The Good: The staff was exceptional, thank you to Gilberto, Angel and Edelfonso. The beach is beautiful, the snorkelling amazing. The food was ok. Only 3 others aside from the main Buffett and they were not up to our standards The Mediterranean restaurant made food that we could not recognize. They try but unfortunately they were unsuccessful. The Italian restaurant serves only Pizza and Calzones and the Taco Restaurant was quite simply bland food. The rooms are quite dated but you almost heard on a daily basis that guests were seeking to change rooms. Ps. NO ELEVATOR. The UGLY. This resort does not have control of its guests. It was impossible to find a quiet spot. The resort allowed guests to bring their children to the swim up bars with their floaters and toys . Parents who sat for hours drinking while their kids ran wild .Although this is not really the fault of the resort they certainly need rules about little kids sitting at the bars. Very loud. I have stayed at other resorts with kids without any problems but this place was LOUD constantly. They had a beautiful area for children with a huge pool and slides and waterfalls but because no alcohol was served on that side parents just let their kids go to the adult pool. They resort lacked both propriety and a sense of order. In their efforts to please everyone, they have lost many return clients. If you are seeking some down time with great location, great food. This is not for you. This is not for couples or seniors or anyone seeking romance .
Had a great vacation.
The resort is exactly what is advertised. It's a four star resort that caters to families. There a ton of fun activities that will keep the kids happy and having a great time. We went as a group of 22 friends and families. Some of the couple had kids and everything worked out great. We were fortunate enough to have 3 rooms all in a row that had one of the large pools right out the back of the rooms. This could not have been better even if we planned it that way. The service was fantastic. Every single employee was courteous and very willing to help in any way possible. Sure we had a few hiccups but that is to be expected with such a large group. One couple couldn't get in their room due to a malfunction in the card reader on the door. The staff jumped right on it and got it fixed as quickly as possible. The food was your normal resort food. If you are expecting gourmet buffets, you have not been to an all inclusive because that won't happen. Don't get me wrong the food was pretty good but it is made for the masses in the resort atmosphere. All in all I would definitely go back to this resort in the same conditions we all went for. I would really like to thank the resort for everything they did for us, much appreciated.
Good beach,and good food
Resort is located about 1.5 hours from Cancun Airport on one of the best beaches.Very good for snorkelling, sooo many fishes. When the fishing vassels are coming back and the fishermen clean the fish there are 2-3 mantarays that circle the boats brought by the smell.Nice to watch. Also,go explore the tide pools at the north end,is fun! Room review:We have booked a 2 double bed partial ocean view room.Upon check in they did not have it,so for a couple of days we were put in a sunclub oceanfront, then in the room we had booked.Sunclub oceanfront room is more modern, however has just one big window that you cannot open. The washroom has windows towards the room and if someone uses it at night the light floods the room,so minus points there. Also on the hallway there are areas where if you are not careful there are big steps where one can twist an ankle. The partial ocean view room is in the older area together with what it seems privately owned condominiums.Room is more authentic, have a balcony but we had a feeling some were not renovated. There is a certain smell in the rooms,I can still smell it on the clothes, even after doing laundry at home. Food:We all thought the food in the resort was very good, and a great variety.Good cheeses, smoked salmon,Serano Ham,mexican dishes, grills, ribeye roast-oh,to die for it,it was sooo tasty. The deserts good. The a la cartes- we preferred the Tiki Taco and the Portofino. The Olive Branch Restaurant did not have tzatziki nor tahini, even thought it was on the menu with the dishes. My advice,if you do not have it take it off the menu. Coco Cafe-you can find everything there-you can have breakfast, lots of pastries and fruit salads, etc, also they make very good cappucino, machiato, espresso. The ice cream bar is also there after noon.Popcorn too. This place is excellent. Bars-good quality drinks everywhere-they serve top shelf liquors at all we tried. The white wine is from Chile-I preferred the sauvignon blanc, did not think much about the chardonney.Sparkling wine good too. We found staff to be polite and curteos, everywhere.Did not have an issue other than with reception staff about the mismatch room and the fact they did not have the room we booked and when we had to move from one room to another made it look like we created the problem. It was not the best scenario to have to unpack, than pack and unpack again in the middle of your vacation in order to change rooms. This was a big minus, and we thought we were not treated well by them.. Entertainment-not much to do at night, several days they had a show in the theatre.
I was worried about our vacation after reading the reviews. The food was not the best but I‘be never been impressed with resort food. Portofino was definitely the best food. The pool club is worth the $ we paid for it. We ended up meeting 5 couples in the club that quickly became our forever friends. The beach is gorgeous. We had an awesome room with a view of 3 of the pools and a partial ocean view. It had a nice large balcony with 2 chairs and a small table. Other than the elevator going out for about 13 hours we had no other issues with our room or the resort.
