Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter, and author, Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman is a lot more than a world-class resort. It’s a place where worries are left at the door, smiles are a form of currency, and flip-flops are considered uniform. Margaritaville is a state of mind. It cannot be possessed, it can only be experienced. Influenced by the colour of the Caribbean Sea, the 285 rooms at Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman are designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. Each room has either a balcony or patio offering views of our gardens, pools and the sea.

The staff is AMAZING! They were so awesome from the moment we checked. The room was exactly what I expected. Of course it ain’t the four seasons but u are in the caymans, u are NOT here to sleep your vacy away. It fit our needs perfectly. Room was spacious and had america plugs for our or electronic devices. It had mini frig and everything we needed. I will certainly stay here again when i come back.
Margaritaville hotel...NOT a resort
This hotel has a condo property located between it and the ocean. They share the pool and restaurants. With 8 couples arriving at around 4pm, they ONLY had 2 check in agents.Their on property restaurant has a much too high price point and as such, never had more that 4 customers at dinner...that can be replaced. Last, it lacks the typical Margaritaville flare as we have come to enjoy at other "resort" locations.
Its good for some and enough for others but Its a NO for me.
Since this resort/hotel is part of my exchange_ timeshare I decided to visit for 1 day in case i want to comeback to the island and have it as an option. The place is full of music everywhere, open lobby when you arrive, many happy hours during the day , front desk very friendly. In the USA this can be a Motel 4 with 4 floors building, rooms are regular size with a balcony, (no studios-1-2-3 bedrooms condo at all) 1st pool is an ok size and its right by the lobby _ No slides or splash for kids..You keep walking and find one more bar_pool right where the hotel ends and the Grandview condo starts(not part of margaritaville _private condos sharing the property)..You keep walking and find the beach _cove beach. The entrance of the beach is concrete since seem was for boats to dock. It has one hot tub ( no kids under 10 yo allowed). Friendly workers. Not enough seats. If your idea of going to the island is music , sit by the pool, drink and just a place to stay within the budget and chill.. and no looking for luxury/concierge etc ..Then this place is your place. I will recommended to people based on travelers budget.
Hotel was great for the value. Great open air lobby, 3 pools one with a swim up bar great for lunch, location was great, rooms are nice and somewhat updated with a mini fridge (recommend going next door to package store). The beach was cool with your own area to swim lots of chairs and umbrellas. Some downfalls were the pool towels ran out everyday before 10 AM which was ridiculous. Only one beach server for drinks and the pool bar was pretty slow at times( not sure if its because the time of the year we went). But overall great value for being on Seven Mile Beach
I have to echo a lot of the other reviews. Rooms are small but adequate and clean. Cooler but no refrigerator. No microwave. Continental breakfast of dry, cold pastries, average coffee, red delicious apples or bananas....tough for gluten intolerant diabetics or people watching sugar intake....but $28 for other breakfast is just too much. Even a common microwave would be good to warm the pastries. Refrigerator and microwave In the room would be beneficial for people with strict dietary restrictions. Cocktails at the two bars were weak and expensive. Stick to the beer so you know what you are getting. Liquor store about a block a week, but better yet buy liquor at the duty free store in the US before you get here. Ate at 5 o’clock somewhere...fries were great and large portion. Avoid the taco salad. Said it came with chips, instead it was served in an inedible, soggy, stale flour tortilla bowl...so it was basically romaine with canned corn and black beans, guacamole, sour cream and ranch. No wash cloths or hand towels for a couple days. Not really on 7 mile beach, rather next to it. You cannot walk the beach. You are limited to the very small pirates cove. The water at the end is rough outside the cove so that was disappointing. Drive to public access down the road instead so you can enjoy the beach. No bath tub. Slippery plastic shower floors. Not much room to hang anything in the closet. Music is too loud and absolutely too much club music ...including too much old music...1980s club music. If you’re gonna play club music how about something new? TV blocked by huge lamp? On the positive side, the price is decent. Love the open breezy lobby. A/C works great. Pools are nice. Grounds are clean.
