Know what kind of a hotel this is
First of all, this is a beautiful property and first class service and meals. However (this is not a negative) this is a very quiet, adult resort. Most of the people there were couples in their 40’s or 50’s or small groups of 2-3 ladies. No pool side music or games or the usual flair at most area resorts. The restaurant options were limited to 3 with all table service- no quick buffets to grab and go. Hours were somewhat limited for mealtimes as well. Like I said, none of this is necessarily a negative it’s just something to be aware of. We didn’t take advantage or some of the resort unique benefits like the catamaran or scuba trips so other people may have a different experience. One night we ventured over to the nearby Breathless resort (that place was a stark contrast). The staff at Zoetry was awesome and the meals were the best we had at any amr resort. The rooms are huge and well appointed.
Wow what can I say about this vacation EXCEPT AMAZING. My husband and I wanted a romantic and private getaway where we wanted to be pampered the entire trip AND thats exactly what we got. When we booked, we were looking for a BUTLER service and Zoetry offered this ammenity in the IMPRESSIONS section of the hotel. There are only 9 suites in the section and we were assigned 3 BUTLERS who were simply amazing---Issac is the main Butler who will greet you and make sure every need is met, Christian who was simply amazing and had the best personality and again met every expectation. Now the Best person we met was our Pool Butler, HARLEN, he simply greets you every morning, sets all your chairs and towels up and waits on you hand and foot!! One of the waiters we loved was Umberto, he always had a smile and was always willing to go out of his way--Even after a long shift, he went to the other side of the hotel just to get me a cup of coffee--JUST SO SWEET!!. Now the cons, which are not many: There is no music, NONE, just missed that a little....As the reviews stated, this is NOT a place to go if you are BEACH PEOPLE!! They did NOT allow people in the ocean, not sure if it was because of all the SEAWEED or other reasons, we are pool people so didn't bother us as much as others...I have to admit, I did miss the BLUE WATER BECAUSE THIS WATER IS BROWN!!! They do offer you to visit other resorts on the ZOETRY level which we did do once to BREATHLESS(which was a cost of $10)
A lovely paradise
We stayed at the IMPRESSION section of the resort. It was a wonderful suite with all the amenities, scrupulously clean, plentiful towels and toiletries, well decorated. The view was fabulous. The restaurants were great and the service from each and every staff member was outstanding. The pool and beach areas were superb.
We had an incredible stay at this holiday, very chilled atmosphere and awesome staff and service, Our butlers Victor, Christian and Isaac were outstanding and really looked after us as well as Jarlin looking after us by the pool. The food and drinks were exceptional all the staff deserve huge praise.
Great resort for a quick getaway without kids
We loved our 5 day trip to Zoetry. The resort was small and peaceful but with all the amenities we needed. - Rooms: All suite hotel, with private balconies. Great space for just the two of us. Huge bathroom, although small shower. - Pool: only one pool, but big enough for all guests; never an issue getting chairs. Eduardo set up our chairs each morning. - Spa: AMAZING (although many services were VERY expensive). For body treatments and massage, Patricia was wonderful. As a UVC vacation club member, we also did the hydrotherapy circuit for free, and Yesenia made that so relaxing. It was a surprisingly long session that included massage. Gerbin at the spa reception took care of us with a big smile, and was flexible when we had to change an appointment time. - Activities: Yoga each morning with Daniel on the pier over the ocean is a must. He has such a calming presence. What a great way to start the day. We also did sushi making that Daniel hosted (Aaron was the fantastic sushi chef), and a wine tasting. There were other activities like cigar rolling and tequila tasting that we didn't do. - Restaurants: there were two sit down restaurants for dinner. Jorge at Xaak for dinner was our incredible server for three nights at dinner. The menu changes nightly so we ate here throughout the trip. The food was good (not great), and Jorge could not have been any more attentive. He remembered that I have a gluten allergy, and brought me a special GF dessert each night that was never on the menu. Somehow he knew I love chocolate and my desserts were delicious. The food at the other restaurant was delicious and a beautiful presentation. Note that almost all guests are without kids, so the meals are long and leisurely. We opted for room service for breakfast so we could start our day when we wanted, rather than sitting in a restaurant. - Drink/Food Service at the Pool: this is the one area of the resort that I felt was lacking. There were a lot of servers and they were quick to come, but it took a while to get food and drinks. The pool bar is very close (and in the shade) so it was often easier to get a drink yourself and get out of the sun for a few minutes. - Beach: like all of Riviera Maya/Cancun, there was a seaweed problem. But the resort did an fantastic job cleaning it up. The sand was really nice. The beach had chairs if you wanted to be there, but it was very windy this time of year, so we stayed by the pool.
