Great trip and great resort!
This resort is great for people 20-40s. Lots of nightlife and awesome pool parties. There are a few pools; one was definitely the party pool with a DJ and where everyday each party had a different theme. The other was more of an activity pool and more relaxed. At the activity pool you will find Miguel who is AWESOME! He is so fun and outgoing and remembers everyone’s names which I thought was amazing. He got my friends and I to do salsa class and Zumba which none of us are usually up for that kind of thing but he is persuasive and plus we were on vacation so who cares! We are all still talking about how he was the highlight of our trip. There are several options for dining from casual all the way to a nice/fancy French restaurant. The food was good and we enjoyed that we had so many options especially in the buffet hall. The rooms are clean and the staff is amazing - always wanting to help and extremely kind. Overall I would definitely revisit this or another Breathless resort and would recommend.
My wife and I went to Breathless for our Honeymoon. We stayed for 11 days and had an absolute amazing time. The resort is beautiful, the pools are nice and clean and the beach is well maintained. The restaurants are all good (didn't go to the French resturant tho). The Hibachi at Silk City was probably our favorite. During the day Freddy, Sandra, Bryan and Miguel were awesome. They got people involved in activities like pool or beach volleyball, different games like trivia etc. We liked laying out on the beach and had Paulino and Samuel as servers, both were top notch. And when eating at Spoon (the buffet) ask to sit in Manuel and Ester's section. They really went above and beyond with their service. We had a beach front view on the top floor and honestly think we had the best room on the resort, far enough from the party pool or clubs that it was never loud at night. Also if your looking to do paddle boarding, snorkeling, sailing etc. they have it all. Axel is the guy you will want to see and he does a great job. The night life of the resort is like nothing I've seen before. I have gone to multiple all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and usually after dinner the places are dead. Not here, there are always DJ's or fire performers or acrobats at Wink starting around 7ish and going til about 10-11. We went to the Elements shows at Showstoppers and we're blown away. Must go see if they are performing when you are there. They have other shows but we didn't get to go. This resort has it all, if you want to party and drink all day/night you can or you can relax by the pool or beach and enjoy the beautiful weather. One last thing is look at the dress code. Men must wear shirts to all restaurants (**no sleeveless**) and pants to pretty much all dinner resturants. Women can pretty much wear whatever as long as it is not just a bikini. This was probably what I liked least about this place. I live in Chicago and go to Mexico so I can wear shorts all day everyday but it wouldn't affect my decision on going back to this resort.
Amazing time at Breathless (for the party minded)
The resort was amazing. Well kept, hard-working people. This resort is for the party type of crowd. If you are looking for a quiet place this is not for you. If you are outgoing and like to drink and dance and are into wicked pool parties, lively bar scenes and club scenes then this is the place for you. the pool parties rival those of the best in vegas without the rif raf crowd. The resort isn't cheap so you tend to get a higher-end party guest if you know what I mean. The nightly entertainment was great and the after-dark club scene was very lively on the weekends. later in the afternoon, the party moved to the largest hot tub I've ever seen. It must hold a couple hundred people. The staff here is what really helps make the resort. Miquel and Sandra on the entertainment team during the day really are two of the best employees you can have. I did the stong 30 with both of them every morning to get the blood flowing and sweat out some of the booze from the night before. They organized beach volleyball and other sports daily and really made everyone feel welcome with there amazing energy! At the pool bar, the two Fernandos where always ready to serve up whatever drink you wanted and they did it with a smile. The whole team at this pool is high energy and fun! The must do's. The Friday and Saturday pool parties. The champagne party is wild. The foam parties are fun. the entertainment is amazing! Even on the days where there isn't something wild going on, there is a live DJ so if you like to dance then go to the party pool. The neon night on the beach is a must as well. Get painted up and giving glow stick jewelry and have a wild time on the beach. Food. Typical resort food with the beach bar b q being the best. The steak house, hibachi, and the buffet were all that you would expect from a 5-star resort. The coffee shop was great that had amazing ice cream and snacks. The grill by the party pool was excellent. No dress code here so guys can go without a shirt on and women don't have to cover up. The chicken burrito was amazing! Overall this resort delivered a great party experience. We met so many amazing people on this trip. People that we plan on staying in touch with. If you are outgoing and like to party all day and night then this is the place for you.
Relax During the Day * Party at Night
We vacationed at Breathless for 5 days/4 nights to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had an incredible time - relaxing at the beach and pools during the day, enjoying the shows and Wink bar at night, eating ourselves silly, and being pampered at the spa. We traveled during the low season (December), which was perfect for us as the resort wasn't packed. The resort staff are friendly, eager to help, and motivated to ensure you have a great time. Extra special thank you to Patricia (check-in), Luis and Ulysses (bellman), and Pascual (at Spoons restaurant) for helping to make our trip fantastic!
December Vacation in Cancun
We booked a room in the Xhale Club with Ocean Front View and King Bed, 12/1-12/7. Room included bath tub on outside patio, the view was amazing. Room was clean and in good condition, no issues. Transfers were with Amstar, easy and no issues. Bellman Xavier was a true professional and personable up front. With Xhale you get access to a seperate pool (has the most sun) and restaurant Kibbeh. Jose was an amazing waiter and host! I enjoyed the golf conversations with Xavier as well. Best breakfast spot in the resort, food and views. Other restaurants were good as well, we liked the Stripe. My wife and I did the spa as well, couples massage. Stephania provided a wonderful massage for me and my wife loved hers as well. Overall spa was a good experience. Dont buy the coupons with your package, they are not useful as they run daily specials anyway. I'm an advid golfer as well and was able to book serval rounds during our stay. I did get some decent rates through the hotel at El TInto and Myakoba, both great courses. Other rounds were at Grand Coral Coyote and Playa Muejeres, nice as well. Myakoba was the best. Overall a great week with amazing weather, never a drop of rain! I recommend a stay here based on our experience.
