Had the most enjoyable time at the resort. Ame to celebrate my birthday with was awesome staff were very helpful and give great service.me and my family had a great time we cam all the way from New York, Florida and Canada.
Second visit! Staff amazing!
This was our second 2week visit with another couple. We chose to go back because of the proximity to the golf course, the spa and the staff. The resort is well kept, the rooms are spacious and clean. We were there at low season so the food choices were a bit limited but there was always an al a carte, the buffet and the pizza shop. Shouts out to Oscar at the pool bar, Augustina at the Tamarindo, Kayla hosting the buffet, Alicia,Christina, Mimuska and Rossy at the Spa, Edward at the pizza bar,Delores at the al a cartes,Anna Maria at the beach bar, Melissa the restaurant concierge, and Julissa, Silnia,Antony, Jennifer, Annabelle and Beatriz. We hope to be back soon. Special thanks to Kelvin!
The Sunscape is very well taken care of. The room we had 2105 was in a very good location. It was close to food, pools and the beach. The room was a nice size and very clean. All of the staff were friendly, professional and polite. Our experience at the Sunscape exceeded our expectations. We look forward to visiting again.
Nice rooms, great food, good beach
We stayed in the superior adults section which I would advise. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks. Our original room at check in was two double beds but the staff was able to switch us rooms to a king the next morning. Food in the buffet was great and the pizza shop was nice. We didn’t have the opportunity to do any of the speciality restaurants with only one open per day being a slower time of year and a couple larger groups for weddings. It does get busy during the weekends with the locals on the resort so expect a bit more traffic. The spa was great. And if you’re looking to go to the market the horse carriage ride with short sight see is a bargain at $20. Upon our departure with the later flight to Toronto the Sunclub staff gave my wife and I a room for a bit to have a shower and get ready which was greatly appreciated with our flight delay. My only complaint of the trip was I wish they would take a bit more focus on the security safety side for unruly guests. One feller during our stay was talked to virtually every day about his behaviour and a couple times had to have the police involved as well. He caused issues on a daily basis and made many guests uncomfortable or would attempt a confrontation with them out of nowhere. I was always shocked to see him still there the next day otherwise I’m sure the Sunscape has the opportunity to be an ideal perfect vacation spot for many couples and families.
O.K but would not return
Just returned from this resort. We have been to the Caribbean 11 times and this is how we would rate this resort. The beach was beautiful, clean and could walk for miles. Lots of vendors which bothered some people but we met a young man known as "Baby Face" who sat and talked to us awhile as he made personalized bracelets for the kids, which they loved. We brought 36 family and friends with us for my daughters wedding which was more then we expected. Germy and staff put together a beutiful ceramony and dinner after. The resort was very clean and pools were good, loved the rule of no saving lounge chairs, 1st resort that didn't allow people to hog chairs all day. My daughter was upgraded to the Sun Club as bride and groom are usually I guess, so my husband and I paid for my sons family and ourselves to be upgraded also. We arrived Friday night to a quiet place which then got very busy on the weekend. We found out that they have day passes and weekend specials for local people. We couldn't get in the Italian restaurant so we went to the Grill which was good, hard to get near the pool bar with the locals there, some were very rude. I didn't pay for the upgrade to watch one guy blow his nose in the little pool in the Sun Club V.I.P area and later when returning to my room a guy was taking a piss 20 feet from the bathroom in the pool area. Didn't spend much time there. When the locals left and it got quiet we had no chioce in restaurants cuz they closed the A la Cartes. There would be a buffet, pizza place and 1 Ala Carte each day but you never knew which one where til you got there. The buffets were the smallest we ever seen and very little variety, no bacon at breakfast. Was not happy with the food at all accept for the Italian restaurant which we finally got to eat at for my daughters reception. They seem to have an issue with the water for showers, had a cold shower first morning there and my husband halfway thur his shower the water shut right off. In our group half of us had water problems. Overall everyone arrived home safe, we had great weather but would not return there.
