    Dissapointed with this property

Were spending a week here, and there i one Priviledge Club area to serve the 3 hotels here. If you don't get there early, well no beach chair, or drink service. I have never had a problem with this at other properties. The rooms are clean, however they have a bathtub with 1/2 shower door, would much prefer the walkin showers. The rooms are a little small compared to the master suites we usually have in the DR. The grounds are well kept, and the buffets are good also, with a good variety of foods to choose from. Service is good in the restaurants where you need reservations, and quality of food is good also. Our stay overall was ok, but I much prefer the properties in the DR for future stays.

    Good hotel

Arrived late at around 6pm instead of 4pm. Transport organised through airline holiday package takes longer since they got to drop 4-6ppl along the way in different hotels. The ride from airport was smooth though. Warm welcoming staff/reception. Served cocktail while waiting for our room keys which took around 10mins. Changes at the hotel. 1. Free wifi througout the resort 2. Free locker - no more paying 5$usd a day 3. Most dinner a la carte restaurants are now located at coba. Only 3 at tulum and they are always/mostly full. Great and friendly staff. Good food, lots of drinks, lovely beach. A bit of stones here and there but at the shallow waters. No sea weeds. We were at villa 27, and the first evening there was an unpleasant smell (gutter smell), but this smell did not extend into our room which was at the ground floor The following day there was no smell after noon. Message for all men who would like to dine at the à la carte restaurants. Carry a pair or jeans/trouser, a shirt and shoes since these restaurants have a restrictive dress code only for men. Also, you will need to reserve for à la carte restaurant as soon as you checkin. A little note: if you plan to go on excursion eg chichen itza, and plan to dine at a la carte, then you are better off choosing a time slot btn 9pm and 10pm. We returned from chichen at 8:30pm and had dinner at the general buffet. Lovely stay.

    Amazing Short Vacation

I visited the Grand Bahia Tulum for a short last minute getaway from Nov 29-Dec 3. Overall it was a great stay, not sure if it’s 5 Stars but it’s an excellent resort especially if you get a good deal. Rooms: rooms were ok, a bit outdated but nothing that horrible, the shower had great water pressure, bed was a bit firm but how long do you spend on the room on vacation?! Food: Food was very good , always something fresh and hot to eat. It could get a bit repetitive after a few days but that’s to be expected. The al a carte reservation system needs improvement, we were unable to book a decent time into any of the restaurants for the time we were there Service : everyone was super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The bar’s were a bit slow only had one bartender at times so that caused long lines. Beach : this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.., the beach is not the greatest, it’s very rocky and has a lot of seaweed,.., if you have been to Cuba , this beach does not compare Overall it was a great vacation that we got for a fabulous deal so no complaints here! If you have booked you will have a great time. We like to try different resorts so not sure if we would return, as I have my eye on the Royalton Cancun.., but if I saw another great deal I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

    Dream holiday

This was a dream holiday which lived up to all our expectations. Pool area was perfect . Food was great . Visited 5 of the restaurants Mikado being all our favourite . A big thank-you to Brenda (excursion booking ) for all her help . And to Marie for her bright cheery smile every day . Not too keen on some of the wild life around the snack bar .

    relaxing Holiday

Very relaxing , check in was very quick and easy. This resort is very clean and well maintained. Resort staff were very nice. We have been to Mexico several times and this was the most relaxing time we have had. We dined in the buffet and the 3 al la cart booked on the resort app on our first night (I would recommend doing this fairly soon after arrival as the fill up quickly) service at both was excellent. the buffet was highlighted be the excellent service from Manuel and Jose. The shuttle service from the rooms was timely and very convenient after a long day at the pool or beach.
