SPRING BREAK POLICY - Bookings traveling in the months of March and April will be subject to the following conditions:
- The minimum age requirement for check-in is 18. One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in.
- In the event that any guests engage in inappropriate behavior or cause physical damages to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the said guest without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.
SPRING BREAK GROUPS POLICY - Students/youth are considered between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy for all bookings traveling March-April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
- Any student/youth group must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to leave a refundable cash deposit per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.

Booked this hotel with family and friends and visited from October 8th to October 15th 2019. Booked double panoramic rooms and on arrival were told we were upgraded to junior suites. There were 11 of us visiting in the group and 6 of which were members\beneficiaries of the Iberostar club, Three of our "junior suites" were located in on the 3rd floor and were quite dated and run down. I occupied room 6312 which there were several infrastructural issues such as water backing up around your ankles when having a shower. When this was reported to the front desk, they almost acted as if this was a new or never reported problem. Only to realize that this problem was occurring in several other rooms. Towel racks were loose and not secured properly to the counter and there were tiles lifting from the walls close to ceiling. Also, the robes that were supposed to be an amenity provided to members were overused, rough and washed out. The towels too were weathered and rough feeling. Not to mention the rotted fruit in the fruit platter that were part of the welcome package for returning members. ( I have many pictures of all I have described to prove my claim). During my second shower, this issues were still not dealt with and the problem only got worst. Well they sent a replacement fruit platter which in my opinion could never compensate for the issues being experienced with the drainage problem. Again the front desk was made aware and by this time the problems in the rooms continued to get even worst. Not just for my room but others in our group as well. By this time, the water pressure was either low or didn't flow at all. We then met with the management at the prestige lounge. This is certainly not what the Iberostar experience promised. The meeting was escalated to three of the hotel's hierarchy and we were able to voice our concerns about the various structural issues that NO patron should have to deal with whilst on vacation. Especially when there are SO many negative publicity plaguing the Dominican Republic. After much discussion , the manager Christine moved us to other rooms,but the problems just didn't stop. Water pressure continued to be a major issue in that in the middle of having a shower the water would just stop. One member of the group was informed by the front desk that "there is a shower located close to the lobby and you can come down and have a shower". Unacceptable! We were moved from Room 6312 to room 5248. The room was a little bit of an "upgrade" but just couldn't wait for this nightmare to be over with. There were roaches in room 5246; Another member of our group was located in Room 5247. The sink in this room was leaking water onto the floor for the entire duration of the trip. And how could one not notice the huge rodent who made a grand appearance in the lobby area one evening. We were only able to book the sea food restaurant as much of our time was spent attempting to sort through the issues we were having with our rooms etc. The food at the sea food restaurant was a bust. 8 shrimp on a huge platter was served as the main course and everything else was lack luster. The staff seemed quite uninterested in making this an enjoyable experience for not just our group but for others at the restaurant as well. We left and went to the buffet where there was a wider variety of food. Positives for this resort was the staff. Staff work extremely hard to keep the grounds clean. Margarito our waiter in the buffet attended to us and ensured our table was ready once we arranged our dinner time with him beforehand. Randy and Jose in the prestige area on the beach were pleasant and ensured we were taken care of when ever we were at the prestige area. Jonathan in the prestige lounge was also very helpful. And unforgettable trip in the most negative of ways. Sad to say, this is not the vacation experience we were hoping for
Enjoyable experience with family!
First time at this resort and I must say we all had an enjoyable stay. Check in was quick. The building is 4 story with an elevator and stairs nicely lit. Rooms - We had the standard room facing the garden area which was good enough for us. Very clean and comfortable but a little out dated. The air con worked well but was noisy. Mini bar was stocked with 2 beers, Coca Cola products and 4 bottled waters. You have towels, ironing board and safety box included. Wifi was spotty in the room area. Food - The buffet was very good with a lot of variety and choice. My only issue would be that the food was not hot enough as it was sitting out and tend to be cold. Also the flies and birds flying into then dining area. They should put some netting up like the Iberostar in Mexico so the birds don’t fly at you. The a la carts was okay but the buffet offered more. Beach - Very well taken care of with plenty is sun loungers available. You can stroll in by 11am and still get a seat. Washrooms at the beach were very clean and maintained. Pool area - Very clean and plenty of sun loungers. No swim up bar but a small bar pool side and inside the beach buffet area. Grounds - Extremely well taken care of. Entertainment - They have a casino by the front desk area and a couple of small stores to buy gifts, cigars, rum and Larimar. Entertainment staff always worked hard to ensure you have a great time. All the shows tend to start at 9:30pm. Bring your mosquito spray at night as you get bitten sitting there. Staff - Very helpful and nice. Excellent service at the bar, lobby and buffet. Staff mainly spoke Spanish and understood little English which was good enough. Cons - Only annoying thing was promoters/time share people that try to get you to go to their meetings and sell “VIP Club members” or “Resort Credits”. So just be aware and say “NO”. If you purchased an all-inclusive package, you don’t need to spend more money or waste time listening to scammers. Overall, a wonderful resort for family and friends to stay at. Not too large to walk around.
Arrived and greeted and given a map and went to our room with the bell boy Room was very clean, however fixture and fittings in the bathroom hanging off, looking very dated and needs a face lift,mini bar was full of water, soft drinks and a couple of beers a nice touch. Pool area was always clean but a few holes in the tiles around the pool area. Plenty of sun loungers available although a lot of people were placing towels on them from early in the day and not returning to them until late afternoon if returning at all. Food was nice plenty of choice sometimes cold though, waiters/waitresses were very helpful and always willing to help, The themed restaurants have to be booked and is a dress code for the French restaurant, the only one we really enjoyed was the American one. The Fish restaurant was awful very unprofessional and unorganised and not exactly a “fish” restaurant only salmon and shrimp offered but still nice food! The entertainment was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. I have to mention how lovely Mr Kool was, he was so polite and every day made a real effort to talk to us and even persuaded us to play bingo. The one negative thing I would say is they do try and get you to go to a meeting about the “VIP club” they offer with the chance of cheap return holidays and flights with iberostar, but we stood our ground and never went as we had searched prior and knew what it was, they say it’s an hour and half but a couple did go and were there for 5 hours, so just be aware they do try and push this as they get about $40 for you going.
My family and I (6 adults and a baby) stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August. We really enjoyed our stay, the place is stunning, the service is excellent too. The entertainment team is great, so funny and they try to engage with the guests all the time, we had a great time playing volleyball in the beach and enjoyed the night shows and latin dances. The gym of the hotel is outstanding, completely brand new with quality classes. Food is very good too, not outstanding but really good anyway. Last but not least, the beach is cleaned by hotel staff everyday, which you do not see in any other hotels. Thanks for a great week!
when I stayed in February with my other half we had the best time ever, rooms are amazing, staff friendly and brilliant to talk to, entertainment amazing with things to do throughout the day like sport and funny competitions. I noticed the staff was Amazing with children and getting them involved. Restaurants In the evening was very surprising I didn’t expecting the food to me so amazing and if you go to the fish restaurant definitely try the salmon ❤️. If I could rate this hotel I would give a 5 star definitely, I am planning to return as soon as possible and I will recommend everyone to visit there and ignore the bad reviews and see for yourself how good this place is you won’t regret it.. thank for everything iberostar and staff hope to see you all soon
