Stunning Modern Resort
When I found this new hotel through The Leading Hotels of the World, I was so excited and decided this is where we would spend our first anniversary! And the fact that it was adults only and all inclusive, i instantly booked. Booking online was easy and they offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. The drivers weren’t the easiest to find but it’s always a little chaotic as soon as out walk out the doors. We drove about 45 min to the resort from the airport and their entrance was stunning. The lobby was beautiful with all the modern flares. We were quickly checked in and they went over the map with us as there is a family side of the Palladium Resort. Our room was ready and we walked into probably the most amazing room I’ve ever stayed in. We had the loft sweet which had 2 stories with 2 amazing views of the resort. We were above the lobby so didn’t get much of an ocean view but it still was a pretty amazing view of the entire resort. We were told that our butler would come by and introduce himself. We waited for maybe 30 min and decided we want to go explore. The grounds and pool area are so unique with the use of odd geometric shapes and I loved it. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach but totally worth it. It was actually quieter on the beach then at the pool. They only serve drinks to the beach area as well as pool. If you want food, you need to go to one of the lunch restaurants. The pool was clean and refreshing with plenty of seats and cabanas. It is first come first serve so if you want a cabana, get out there early. They also have many activities during the day around the pool each day, exercise activities, tequila tasting, beach walks, etc. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from between the two resorts (steakhouse, seafood/Mediterranean, Indian, Japanese/sushi, Argentinian, Spanish, Mexican, French, sports bar, coffee shop). They also have a Chic show which is included for all guests. It is a cabaret show and restaurant. You must through your butler and totally worth seeing. Very fun! They also offer other evening shows so there is literally something to do every night if you want to stay busy. The spa was amazing! Make sure to go early so you can enjoy the water therapies and special rooms (sauna, salt room, ice room). The prices are great and they are always running a special to get more people to the spa. Highly recommend taking a few hours of relaxation! The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like the food just wasn’t anything special and service lacked. We have stayed at a LHW resort before and thought they really catered to you. I think this place has the right idea but could do a little better. It still was a fantastic vacation for us!
We just returned from TRS Coral. The first impression of the hotel as you pull up was very grand and modern! We were greeted with warm welcome and cold champagne! The check in was quick and efficient. We had brief interaction with the travel club ref but we politely decline and headed to our room. The bellhop boy helped us with our luggage - we had a Junior suit with balcony and great ocean view! The room is clean and well presented. The bellhop boy told us our butler will arrive shortly to show us everything. Within minutes Jennifer arrived. We like her instantly. She showed us around! Jennifer took care of our dinner reservations and the of course CHIC Cabaret tickets. We were so impressed how attentive she was and making sure that we have everything we need. Jennifer made our stay extra extra special. Nothing is too much trouble - she went above and beyond. Thank you Jennifer. Food was hit and miss in some areas but our ultimate favourite was POP UP Kusko - we liked it that much, we went twice! Sumptuori Teppanyaki was really good too. Extra charge though if you want lobsters which I find it odd as you can have lobster mostly in any restaurant, even with room service but nonetheless, it was good food. CHIC Cabaret was amazing, so much talent and really entertaining - again a massive thank you to Jennifer to make sure we get to see this during our stay. Zentropia Spa facilitates was amazing!!! Make sure you visit. The pool area was spectacular. So relaxing and live music every afternoon. Special mention to Gustavo (Bar) and Jorge (Pool Butler) you guys are amazing! Overall, we had a fantastic time. Everyone works so hard to make sure we have a pleasant stay.
hotel does not live up to what they promise
Butler service is sub optimal. They say they will do something and there is no follow through and they blame their colleagues. We have stayed at TRS Yucatán and was a very different experience. The staff at Coral do not seem like they want to be there and a lot of eye rolling when they are approached
Stunning first impressions, lots of service issues
Myself and my partner along with another couple stayed at the TRS Coral from 4/9/19 - 18/9/19 on first arrival we thought it was stunning and we were very excited to be there, the cracks started to show the day after when we all went for dinner at El Dorado steak restaurant in the Gran Palladium village, we all were looking forward to a nice steak dinner to be told that they had no fillet steaks they had sold out and the restaurant had only been opened for 90 mins and the place was empty, but made up for it on our second visit our waiter Leo was very attentive and first class at his job, other issues included restaurants being closed when they were supposed to open, Portifino the italians couldnt get you in and out any quicker, we had our dinner in 30 mins waiter was actually bringing out main courses before we had finished our starters , buffet restaurant food was lukewarm and not very appealing, the thai, asian and Mediterranean and Indian in the other had were excellent we enjoyed all our visits to them. Room service was great with a good selection of dishes which was ordered on the TV , when it would arrive usually about 45 mins later we found that sometimes the order was a bit cold, Housekeeping was a bit of a disappointment, we had a swim up suit so we would lie by the pool in the morning and go back to our swim up room in the afternoon as it was shaded and was nice and cool, housekeeping wouldnt arrive until late afternoon to clean room which was inconvenient as i like to go for a nap in the afternoon we asked the butler midway through our stay if it was possible to have the room cleaned earlier and he said he would have it arranged, this only happened one day. Minibar service was a bit of a joke to be honest, we had the 2 bottles of spirits which we had requested, initially the fridge was stocked with soft drinks, water & beer with pringles and for some strange reason 1 snicker for 2 people, as my partner is diabetic i requested that the fridge be replenished with Pepsi light and water aswell as snacks this happened 2 times in the 2 weeks, when i confronted the mini bar guy, they didnt hav any left which i was told in several occasions, (if your a diabetic be very alert about what the are actually giving you we were at the pool bar one day and asked for 2 vodkas and Pepsi light as i watched him pore the drinks i noticed that he was filling them with half soda half regular pepsi, which can make a diabetic ill if not picked up on) Drinks in the lobby and Gravity Bar where first class though had such a good time in those bars, the staff were great and very entertaining, the festivities at the GP village for Mexican Independence where excellent it was so entertaining and colourful. We did enjoy our time at the TRS but we were a bit disappointed with the service issues( maybe down to hotel not long being opened) these will need to be rectified if they don't want negative reviews
So we had a wonderful holidays here with my wife. Our room was a loft suite. Its really very comfortable room with 2 floors, lovely bath and a nice terrace with view and jacuzzi. This hotel is new, cozy, with lovely and friendly staff, clean beach with white sand and great restaurants. Our first impressions were not very well. We checked in only at 15 20, because the room wasnt ready at 15.00. Then we entered the room and noticed the bath was dirty, there were no welcome bottles at all, there were no hangers in the locker etc. We got a river view and asked our buttler if there any seaview lofts and they said that they can move us to the seaview room tomorrow so we agreed. Next day we moved to the seaview loft and it was excellent. It was clean, with all the welcome bottles, hangers etc. So id like to thank all the staff for that, especially Santiago - he did everything for us, hes the best buttler i guess. The pool is great, with comfy beds, nice bars with booze and coctails. So is the beach. Cant say anything except it was all good. The restaurants are trendy and stylish, the service was excellent, BUT it was a couple of times the restaurants didnt have course we came for. One day they didnt have lobster in Bohemia and one day they didnt have fried or boiled eggs on breakfast. These were the only disadvantages we encountered. Also id like to say as a meat lover - the steak house and El Gaucho didnt met my requirements. I really love steaks, but the quality of meat was poor for my taste. And when i ordered Asado short ribs - i got a piece of BOILED MEAT on bone. BOILED! I really was surprised... Boiled meat at the steakhouse...really? But other restaurants was really awesome! Japan one - the best sushi in my life, thai one, Bohemia and the others - great food, service, experience. The Chic Cabaret show was really looking good and expensive, you should visit it anyway, but i got bored, its not the show for me, but its just me. Its really chic and must visit. I rate my holidays 10/10, those minor flaws did not spoil the experience, and i can strongly recommend this place for everybody. Thank you TRS Coral staff. It was really awesome.
