This place is awesome 😎. Originally I booked this place because on their website it states they have a 9 hole golf 🏌️♀️ course in front if the hotel, but unfortunately upon checking in told course was closed for good. But in any case found this resort excellent. Amenities off the roof. Services were excelente!!! I get the all inclusive now 😃.
Grand oasis has a perfect balance between party fun and relaxing. Staff is very nice too... when we first checked in we were put in a wrong room as we upgraded to ocean view. Yanin was excellent it taking care of the issue promptly. The food from restaurants was great. I have ate at multiple all inclusive resorts and the food quality here is special. I’d recommend this place to anyone going to Cancun.
Must read - AWFUL HOTEL
oh readers where do I start! I want to say I am writing this from a sun kissed beach in a tranquil environment however that word and this hotel do not match. From the beginning it will take you nearly an hour to check in. We quickly learned that this hotel has been cut into 3 the Grand Oasis (nothing grand) Oasis and then Sens ( adults only). This is not clearly advertised on the website so make sure you check. We had the grand oasis however this seriously lacked grandeur. Our bedroom is a box, throw in an energetic 8 year old and you are close to tears even before you have unpacked. The key never works once you leave the room so always pick up another on your way through, the showers leak and run brown water and never ever turn off the air con........ a smell similar to something dead in the air vents seeps through into the room. Also no balcony and window opens fully to strap young children and misbehaving adults down. The pool.... set your alarm and run under the cover of darkness to get a bed otherwise you will find yourself sat in the children’s pirate ship. No umbrellas and very cosy!!! Don’t worry though there is always the beach........... if banging music from 10am till 7pm ,drilling and people selling you tact relaxes you this hotel is definitely for you. If you have your blue peter badge in craft I’m sure you could help the 29 builders sawing through trees . That goes for the maintenance by the pool as well. Food is not great get ready for breakfast to become dinner as well, also no variety for children. Also if you are an English family looking for other English families there aren’t any! So dust off the Spanish phase book as Mexican families and American stag do’s are the flavours! One good thing.... the wine I have drank copious amounts whilst here to help get my through it. Avoid my fellow travellers ! I would rather a travelodge at home!
We recently booked a stay at this hotel for 18 people including family and friends. I would absolutely never travel to this hotel again. It was terrible. They are so understaffed it's ridiculous. The staff with exception of a few bartenders are rude and not helpful at all. The bars are few and far between and again understaffed waiting over 30 minutes for a drink at some. The food here is not good at all at the buffet. It was all dry or cold, the amount of times someone in our party got under cooked chicken was frightening. There was almost no variety of food in the very small buffet, having mainly the same food every night which would not be bad if the food wasn't terrible. I will say the Al a Cartes were quite good. 4 of the rooms in our group's Air conditioners broke, which is not the worst thing BUT they leaked water all over the floor while we were at the pool. Causing one traveller to slip and severely injure their knee. This caused damage to another couples things, because the water spilled across their room and out into the hallway. The hallways of the hotel buildings have such terrible lighting at all times of the day that is actually dangerous to be walking around. I saw countless people Trip over the same step that if you didn't know it was there would not be able to see it. One person actually causing sever pain and bleeding from where their face hit the concrete. The elevator broke during our stay, again there are stairs but there were people on the elevator when it broke and dropped to the bottom floor. The Noise here is ridiculous in the hallway's it echos through the entire building. The hotel has very little to do after 10 pm so people are running through the halls screaming and yelling with security almost no where to be found. With maybe 3 water stations in the whole resort with out waiting at the bar for 35 minutes Room Service would not provide more than 4 bottles of water EVERY OTHER even with a call to provide DRINKABLE WATER. I would like to say that we are not high maintenance people, we have stayed at many resorts that were not of "high standard" or "High Class" and had an amazing trip. This hotel all though rated well is a hotel I would strongly caution every single person to stay away from.
Don’t waste your time and money
I don’t understand how this resort has the ratings it does. I am not a high maintenance person although we came across problems with almost everything you can think of. We tried to make the best of our time although just so you know when you first arrive you can not check into your room until 3pm. We waited in line for half an hour or more to be checked in because there was only 2 workers. We arrived at 11am and had to walk around the resort for 4 hours with our carry ons so basically wasted our whole day not being able to relax. They said 3 o’clock is the only time everyone can get their rooms. We had to reactivate our key cards 7 times and we weren’t keeping our phones near them. I tried to call room service to bring more water and they said they only stock 3 water bottles every 2 days and you have to go down stairs to the bar to get glasses of water if we needed more. We didn’t get pop or beer restocked. We had to leave extra money and ask to get more water everyday to receive it. The service was the worst service I’ve ever received. Workers would give attitude and looks unless you tipped. Don’t expect fast service with anything. I tried calling room service 10 times for some late nights snacks and no one ever picked up. Afterwards I figured I’d go to the 24/7 food bar and just bring food to my own room. They wouldn’t let you bring food out of the restaurant. I don’t understand the concept of this. I thought I was paying for all inclusive food.. The security would chase after you and nearly tackle you down for trying to bring food to your room. It was completely absurd! I tried to explain to them that I tried calling and was willing to pay for room service and they said that it was a problem and didn’t try to help or do anything about it. I walked all the way back to my room for nothing. On the same note, the food was not good at all. The lines for the buffet and food stand were some times a half an hour wait. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with an omelet one day and ended up getting it cooked like a pancake with all of the ingredients raw inside. I scooped everything out of it and just ate the egg. The servers wouldn’t come to the table unless you asked them for something and had money on your table. The lines for the bars would also be around a half an hour wait OR MORE during rush hour.. because there would be only one bartender working and mind you taking their time. We ended up leaving without drinks not wanting to wait a lot of the time. When we would try to bring drinks to our friends they also wouldn’t give you more than 2 drinks at a time if you weren’t tipping. There is no alcohol served past 1am which was outrageous for paying for an ALL INCLUSIVE resort... We found out from people you have to give money to servers for them to find alcohol for you. I gave $100 pesos to our server one night to get 3 shots of tequila. The elevators would started to break down and were taking forever as well. We took the stairs most of the time. On our last day there was only one elevator working and we had to wait half an hour to get down to the main floor with our luggage’s. If you believe you would be satisfied with multiple and constant inconveniences then this is the place for you! Sincerely, disappointed
