Jovanne and do pressy water aerobics class
Really uplifting and fun water aerobics class, very friendly trainer who made sure everyone was having a good time and ensured wellbeing and health was taken care for. Good how we moved around the pool instead of just staying in one place. Also really good how the exercises were shown on the side to make it easier for the people at the back.
Staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable of the resort and everything that Jamaica had to offer. Food was delicious, and variety of selections exceeded my expectations. Daytime activities and night life were well planned and enjoyable.
Overall the open areas of the resort are nice, but there are many areas where this resort needs improvement. Room - our room was in need of some basic maintenance and a fresh coat of paint. The drapes didn't close all the way so we woke up to the sun shining in our room every morning. The ocean view was nice but the sliding door to get out to the balcony was difficult to open and could only be opened from the inside so it had to be left open if you were sitting outside. The AC was loud and the ceiling fan was dingy looking but it worked well. The room and sheets and pillows smelled like mildew. Restaurants - If you are looking for fine dining, this is not your place. The buffet was great but the theme restaurants were blah. We ate at the Mexican restaurant twice, which was decent and the service was pretty good. The steak restaurant has slow service and the steak was fatty so I couldn't eat most of it. We tried to eat at the seafood restaurant but waited for 90 minutes for our food and finally gave up and walked out. It's a shame because the restaurants have great ambiance and I was looking forward to a nice meal. Beach - The beach is very nice, there are plenty of chairs and towels. Pool - The main pool is huge and appears very clean. Plenty of chairs and towels. The pool bar is small and service takes a while but it wasn't a big deal for us. Spa - I got a massage at the spa which was one of the best massages I've ever had. The hydrotherapy area is nice and they included it with the price of my massage. Ask about specials when booking because the prices seemed outrageous but I was able to get a deal from one of the spa reps in the hotel lobby. Only negative was that I went back to the hydrotherapy area towards the end of the day and there were no towels and there were limited staff to assist. People - The staff was very nice, always helping with what they could and greeting us as we passed them throughout the resort.
We visited this hotel in April 2019. We were a little apprehensive of returning to Jamaica after our last holiday 9 years ago but we decided to give it another try. We are so glad we did. This was a fantastic hotel. The food, drink and entertainment was the best I have ever had. The selection of branded spirits was amazing. The bar staff were brilliant. Big thanks to Gregory and Robert in the Sports Bar who kept us entertained and served the best cocktails I ever tasted. The jerk chicken hut at lunch time was fabulous. Miss Lou's bar was a real treat, fantastic coffee and a fine selection of sandwiches and home made cakes. The staff in the Infinity bar were really great especial Jean she was so efficient. We found a lovely little quiet pool which suited us just fine. Omar the pool attendant kept the pool spotlessly clean. We tried a few of the a la carte restaurants but preferred the eat in the buffet restaurants. The food was plentiful and there was a great variety to chose from. The only negative I would give to this hotel was the room. Although we had a lovely view of the Caribbean Sea from our patio the room itself was dated and could really benefit from a bit of a revamp. Before I finish I have to mention the hard working gardeners who kept the gardens immaculate. George Brown, what a character, he made us laugh. All the staff at the hotel were very polite and everyone of them greeted us with a smile. This is a wonderful hotel, we will definitely return again.
the gym was very nice and offers many different types of machines to use. the personal trainers are very helpful and offer water, towels and glasses. rochelle was one of the trainers that was helping out those who needed help with their workout
