    Beautiful

    Amazing resort beautiful beach and the nicest ppl ever . Yes the hotel feels a bit dated here and there but it is still rather modern .is so large but you can easily walk around it confidently after few days .we walked most of the time even with my 4 yo son Pools are very nice and clean drinks and cocktails delicious. The beach is to die for and being able to use facilities of sister hotels gives you so much options even walking on the beach is great as there is I think 5 beach bars spread over . Food is very yummy. Plsintfull and honestly dont understand how any one can complain. Beach restaurant serving grilled meat paella cocktails great music..life music and dance performances during day time not only at night ..sports bar 24 h ..room service you can be spoiled by choice Argentinian steak house omg is so good I have never been a fun of beef but I am converted best best best !!!you must not missed that restaurant . Kids pool amazing my boy loved making new friends there Entertainment is so great you can always get involved in some funny games or just relaxing. We have stayed at standard family room and it was nice. It wasnt the most modern and luxurious room we ever stayed at but it wasnt " offensive " 🤘 Housekiping was good Fridge restricted daily 4 bears and coke fanta Sprite water Honestly if you hesitate do not . Staff is so friendly and helpful They speak rather basic English but with a bit of patience you will be just fine . I dont want to single any one out but there was one lady from the kids club with a red afro hair she was also at the kids shows ..she is so nice so friendly and informative she speaks very good English to my son liked her a lot Beach is great white powder sand the only criticism is the vendors trying so hard to sell staff is annoying . But thsts common practice no matter where you go . Highly recommend

    The Worst

    The room was outdated and elec outlets would barely hold a plug in,the lights above the vanity was very dim,bed was ok,TV worked ,good maid service.Food was terrible my wife got E Coli sick all week,Low quality of alcohol ,just dreadful , lounge chairs at beach are bad shape ,they don't care for their beach area ,no one will come around and offer u a drink if u are at the beach.Grounds are nice ,If you have a flight out after 12pm make sure u check out before 12 or they charge u $10.00 an hour for every hr. after 12.

    Grand Palladium - Nice place to stay

    Grand Palladium was a very nice place to stay. We upgraded from a superior suite in Bavaro to a loft suite in Punta Cana (or Palace, couldn't tell which property it was actually on) after the first night. The superior suite was nice and would have been perfect for a couple, but for a family with 2 teenage daughters the bathroom lacked privacy & the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The loft suite was wonderful - plenty of space, 2 bathrooms, loft area - all great. We did run into some shady electrical in the room, but it did not impact our stay. The buffet restaurants had a nice variety of options, especially considering we have a very picky eater. The a la carte restaurants were decent overall. Not the best we've had at all-inclusives, but definitely edible. The beach was lovely, we could always find chairs. No beachside drink service, but there were multiple bars nearby. The pools were always busy, often with chairs covered with towels that were rarely occupied. The waiters at the pools were very attentive & friendly. The main downfall to this property was the constant bombardment of people trying to sell you excursions & trinkets. They were inescapable & got very annoying after awhile. But overall we had a very relaxing family vacation here & would return!

    Good, but could do so much better!

    We went to this hotel with my boyfriend for a week at the end of January for pleasure. I would like to write the pros and cons, because there are a lot unfortunately at both sides. Things that we liked: - When we arrived the luggage guys helped us directly with our baggage and showed us to the reception, then took us to the room after check in, it was perfectly handled. - There were a guy at the lobby I guess kind of a supervisor, he was always very kind, humble, friendly, and helped us anytime we were lost. - The all inclusive form is the best we’ve ever had in our lives! Seriously everything is included. All the cocktails and drinks. There are several a la carte restaurants, all included and you are handled like in a normal restaurant, served by waiters. Our favourite was the Argentinian restaurant, huge shoutout and thanks for Rafael, real professional, and special thanks for the birthday surprise for my boyfriend! :) - The room was cool, comfy bed, superb jacuzzi in juniour suite, cozy balcony - Beautiful beach at the hotel, very clean - Cleaning stuff professional, always super clean room (all the toiletries filled up) and environment - On the day we left, we had our flight at night, but we needed to check out so we don’t pay for an extra night. They let us put our luggages in a guarded room and we could still enjoy all the facilities all day including food and drinks, towels, pool and beach. Things on the other side: - At the reception we were handled by a “learner” receptionist, we understood she was a beginner but in our point of view it took too long to even check in, she run away couple of times, in total it took for sure a good half an hour to check us in. - Beach was way too crowded all the time. They have a very small size of seating area for the huge amount of people. - In our room there were a few issues also. Minibar was not filled up everyday, just every other day or so. Our balcony light was not working for a couple of nights and we actually needed to let them know to get it fixed. Another thing, the room key was not working a couple of times so we needed to go back to the reception and get a new one every time. Which could be frustrating after you had your dinner and just wanna go to sleep, because the reception is far away from the room a good 15 minute walk back and forth... which brings the next issue up. - So if you are not annoyed enough already to walk back and forth for a not working key card, at the reception they don’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience or anything. They just say it happens a lot and here is your new card. - Overall, the staff in general had pretty much a “not give a f***” attitude all the time. They were not as welcoming, friendly and helpful as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Very big contrast compared to the sales people and the ones who try to sell you trips. Which brings me to my next point: - The little shop (during the day at the pool, in the night at the lobby).... they are waaaaaaaay too pushy. I understand they want to sell their stuff but they come in front of you and keep chasing you until you pass them. It’s totally working opposite than what they want. All the time when we needed to go from one place to another which included this shop in the line, we literally had to choose another longer way to not encounter them. At the end of our vacation we eventually decided to go and buy something bc we wanted souvenirs, we ended up leaving 100€, which was much but we still were ok. But after that as there are more salesman at this shop, the other ones were still chasing us even though we said we already bought stuff there. Each of them probably works on commission or I don’t know, but this was also a very unpleasant experience. - We booked an expensive (250$) couple massage, and the guy said we can also use their spa for 2 days for free (which is I think 50$/ day normally), so we were happy. The guy also said we can and infact need to come an hour earlier than our appointment to enjoy the spa already. But when we got there (an hour earlier), we were led to a room with 2 massage waterbeds to relax until the masseur comes to get us. So there was no option to go to the spa, but worse we waited an hour and 20 minutes until they came and get us. At the massage they didn’t say anything we didn’t know what’s gonna happen after what. At the end they gave us a paper to review them and just left so we were guessing we need to leave also. Normally our package included jacuzzi and a bottle of champagne - none of them happened. We got 2 glasses of champagne and we felt like they wanted us to leave already. So after this not very pleasant experience we left. We came back for spa (as we had it in our package) the other day, but even though we asked they didn’t explain how it works or anything really. The woman just said “left for women right for men” to enter. Worst experience ever with spa facility. We felt very unwelcomed. After this day at the spa we didn’t come back for the 2nd “free” day. - On the last day we spent our time at the lobby bar, and a guy came to us literally pushing us to write a review about the hotel but only a good one! I would have appreciated more if he comes to us kind of talking about how our experience was, what are the things we liked, what are the things they can maybe improve, and then mention if we would like, we can write a review later for them summing up what we talked about. Instead he was pushing really hard he actually urged my boyfriend to grab his phone and write it in that moment. My boyfriend didn’t want to be rude so he was starting to write something but this guy was sitting there with us the whole time encouraging him to write only good things and when my bf finished he reviewed what he wrote and pushed him to post it. Never seen anything like this before. We left with a very unpleasant taste in our mouth because of this. Sorry, that it ended up being so long, but I wanted to mention everything to help them improve. To sum up, I would like to say that we did have some great time here, but also that even though we are easy people these cons were hitting the edge of our limits. For a 5 star hotel they could still improve a lot and they should because the place is amazing! If all that negative experiences didn’t happen, it would be a full 5 star, but I am so sorry to say that after all this we probably never gonna return.

    Heaven in the DR

    this is our 4th trip to DR, 2nd time at Palladium (1st time was in TRS) this time we stayed in Bavaro as we had our nephews with us. We had a great time and the kids loved it. Overall we had a great time, my hubby and I are normally pool people but the kids love the beach and this beach is beyond amazing
