    Gorgeous Resort

Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica is a stunningly beautiful resort with great rooms, awesome service from staff at all levels, many pools and bars to enjoy and discover. Unfortunately the food and drink do not match the grounds and service, food was OK but certainly not GREAT, drinks were much the same, nothing top shelf found. Beach was typical for Costa Rica. Vendors found on the beach were friendly, spoke good English and best of all did not pester when told no Thank You!Wonderful stay, but disappointing on food and drink for the price we paid. Gift shop outrageously over priced, be warned!!

    Valentine's Trip

The resort was absolutely beautiful, food was excellent, service was top notch - couldn't of asked for a better vacation or week of relaxation and getting completely spoiled. We did get to go on a couple excursions which were also very fun.

    Best so far 2020

The resort is amazing, secluded and about one hour 30 minutes from Liberia airport. Rooms are great ask for building 6 that’s where the monkeys like to play! Food was excellent, especially breakfast lots of local fruits. Staff pleasant and helpful, try fishing trip they will cook your catch for you. Special thanks to Stathis In the UVC department, went the extra mile for us!! Don’t forget to do the water slide😎🇨🇷 We will return pura vida😎

This resort is almost to big

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, average food. We enjoyed our stay at this resort, but I doubt we will ever go back. In my opinion, the resort is just to big. We were in building 5 on the 7th floor. Once we left our room for breakfast, we didn't go back to our room until we were done for the day. There is only one elevator for the building, so it was was quicker to take 7 flights of stairs over waiting for the elevator. We found the rooms clean and comfortable, with a monkey show almost every morning while we drank our coffee on the balcony. House keeping is a hit our miss. One day we would get clean body towels, but no wash clothes. One day we got coffee, the next day we had to get coffee from our friends room because we didn't get any. You really need to keep your door on the balcony locked because the monkeys know how to open the doors...and they will come in and help themselves to what they want in your room. They even turned the water on to our tub on the balcony so they could get a drink of water (but they don't shut it off. We came back to our room a couple of times to the water in our tub still running) As far as the food goes....we always enjoyed breakfast at the buffet. The buffet for lunch and dinner was below average. We went to the Italian restaurant and we were there for over 2 hours. I just don't understand why it takes so long. They could get a lot more people through if they could speed the process up. It was the same with the Japanese restaurant....over 2 hours. The other thing I don't understand is why they give you such small portions at the restaurants. I ordered ravioli one night and it came with 4 small raviolis on the plate. It's a good thing you can turn around and go to the buffet, because you can leave hungry if you are a big eater. As far as the dress code, I agree that long pants shouldn't be required. Once you sit down, no one knows if you have shorts or pants on. Plus, you are at a tropical resort, who wants to wear pants just to eat dinner. The bar service by the pools was a hit or miss too. Sometimes it was quicker to go get your own drink instead of waiting for a server. I found the drinks either to sweet or they didn't have much alcohol in them. The ice cream and iced coffee at the Coco Cafe was probably our favorite place. But we hung out at the pool by the beach side grill and it was to far to walk just to get a snack, so we only got one when we went to to our room at the end of the day. You really need to be in somewhat good shape to get around this resort. They do offer golf cart service, but again it's a waiting game. I am a beach person, but the beach here is just not inviting to hang out all day. Actually, we never did just hang out by the beach. We went for a walk, but never just stayed at the beach. As many have mentioned, the gift shop is a rip off. We went to get tanning lotion, but it was $43.50 for a tube of it...yes, $43.50! They know if you forgot to pack your tanning lotion, you will have to pay the price for it at the gift shop. Someone did tell us they had some at one of the towel stations to use for free.

    A very good all inclusive

Can,t give five stars because of being an all inclusive. That being said it is a very good to excellent all inclusive Things that we enjoyed: Multiple scheduled activities(walks, biking, yoga etc during the day) especially the 16:00 classes. Really liked going to the mojito class and we asked them to teach it in Spanish Location can be a plus or minus. We were able to get out and about with no problem. In fact we walked to the local store, about two miles away because the prices in the resort shop were crazy and it gave us an excuse to explore The only buffet had a very good selection of foods but we mainly only used that for breakfast because of the multiple other restaurants with menus We enjoyed a full day in Nicaragua on one of the many excursions offered at the hotel
