While there is plenty to do at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, there are also a multitude of exciting activities within close proximity. It is just a 15-minute walk to the shops of Whalers Village, the town of Lahaina, and the long boardwalk along Kaanapali Beach. Outstanding hotel and staff cannot be more pleased with the service and location Highly recommend The cleanliness is impeccable beautiful rooms The breakfast was delicious And the receptionist very helpful Thanks you sooooo much for giving us a fatalistic time
Great stay with Regency Club
We enjoyed our stay in an upgraded Oceanfront room with Regency club privileges. The room was dated, but clean and spacious. The hotel pool was crowded, but we also had access to Hyatt residence pools Which were refreshing. The beach and sunset was beautiful, and great snorkeling at Black Rock nearby. We enjoyed the Club room breakfast and afternoon snacks, and super cheap drinks. We especially appreciated Kim who answered all our questions, helped us with a computer problem, and warned us about potential traffic through Lahaina due to a protest. The hotel would get a five, except for the dated bathrooms, and the grotto pool area that was totally trashed from people’s drinking debris. We would stay here again in a newer room.
Ok however very expensive and balcony is too small and not usable. Outdoor furniture tired, rooms quit dark, nice views
Ok however very expensive and balcony is too small and not usable. Outdoor furniture tired and room is dark however views to pool and water is very good. Food was ok but not a stand out and rooms are quite expensive.
Had a great time!!
I am a Hyatt member and got an upgraded view, it was the ocean view and it was wonderful. The hotel as a hole is in a great location has a good layout and has decent food options. The room we had looks like it had been redone about 7 years ago and for Hawaii on the beach was in good condition. The toilet was a little loose and the water pressure was a little low but that can happen most anywhere. The restaurants were very good and had good selections. We also had passes for the Regency club and it was much better than expected . Great food and the employees were spectacular. Very friendly and informative. Overall the property is great just need some upgreading here and there. Will definitely go back.
Great hotel for families and babymooners! Much needed relaxing vacation.
This hotel is very big and the grounds are kept in good condition. The beach access is the best! They have two pools (one more for kids) and also give you access to the Hyatt residence pool. The pool was a bit cold for my taste, so I just stayed in the ocean. After all, you came to Maui for the beautiful beaches, right? The only thing I can say that needs improvement are the outdated rooms. The temperature of the water in the shower would not get as warm towards the afternoon (not sure, why). The rooms are very clean, just on the older side. Great AC for whatever temperature you desire. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for families and older couples. I would most likely try a hotel in Kihei if I go back, but this is one I would recommend if staying in Lahaina.
