Maui is Paradise
The Hyatt is an excellent place to stay for families. There are many things to do; the pool is excellent, Japengo is AMAZING, you can snorkel and boogie board right on the beach from the Hyatt, and the staff is friendly.
Everything was great after we were changed rooms. The corner room's bathroom was not very pleasant to use. It was at a weird angle and we were not comfortable. We also miss the basketball hoop. The Grotto bar should stay open until 5:30pm
Great hotel in Kanipali
Wonderful property. Well maintained with lots of pools and beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants very good and nearby shopping and dining. Golf course really good. We recommend this property to all visiting Maui. You won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful stay at the Hyatt
We had an amazing stay at the Hyatt Maui with my family. The staff was outstanding and they were always friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about Maui and what the area had to offer. The room was beautiful and the maid service was impeccable. The grounds of the hotel were absolutely gorgeous!! The garden with the waterfall, swans and flamingos was so beautiful and relaxing to stroll through. My daughter loved the penguins and exotic birds. It was a gorgeous hotel!! We had dinner our last night at Japengo and the food was so delicious and the service was incredible!! We only wish we had eaten there more often ! This restaurant actually has the best sunset view, so we highly recommend to eat there at sunset for amazing sunset/great lighting photo opportunities. We also thoroughly enjoyed the many beautiful pools the Hyatt offered, complete with waterfalls and slide for the kids (and swim up bar for the adults). Also, the poolside service was outstanding. The wait staff was very attentive and provided wonderful service. We also rented snorkel gear through the hotel (super convenient) and saw lots of turtles and fish right off the beach in front of the Hyatt. It was so convenient because we didn't have to drive anywhere else to snorkel to see lots of fish and turtles. One turtle was so large that I literally had to back up while I was snorkeling to get him in the photo. All I was using was a cheap underwater camera and I got some excellent pictures of the turtles (and fish). You could also see the turtles swimming in the rocks in front of the Hyatt and we were able to get some excellent photos from the beach!! I would highly recommend to stay at this hotel. It was truly a 5 star experience!!
