Nice Couples Stay During DownSeason
We had a nice stay overall. I think we benefitted from it being the very end of Aug/Early Sept when there weren't a lot of families there. Breakfast was great, and Lunch and Dinner were pretty good also. Overall we usually had the hot food station with a live chef and found that to be the best food at the buffet. The only food that was horrendous was the mid/afternoon snack bar. Everything was cold, friend food and so we made sure to make it to lunch or dinner all the other days. You have to pre-book the beach palapas and can only do two days at a time. It was kind of silly that the girl booked us at the pool instead of on the beach when the beach ones weren't even full and we told her we wanted to be on the beach... But the people working there in the mornings were ale to transfer us. Quiet stay with a super comfy bed. The room had a beautiful view!! I could see myself returning to this Melia! ALSO this was super important to me when booking: there is almost 0 sargazo or seaweed on the beach!!!! beautiful beach !!!
I Would like to see the hotel move away from the plastic, beach was amazing, Food is okay.. sadly I couldn't get any dinner reservation even if I was by myself. I got an upgrade to Royal service, the best option ever cuz you have an ocean view plus the jacuzzi Just right at front of it. Amazing view!! See you guys next time
Love the Melia
Best staff keeps us returning. Would like to see the hotel move away from the plastic amenities bottles in the bathrooms and move to large refillable ones. Appreciate the use of glass water bottles. 10 years and still the best vacation spot ever.
Always A Great Stay
We have stayed at the Melia on several trips to the Island and I have to say this trip might have been the best. We stayed on the 11th floor of the tower and our room was perfect. Thank you to Eric and Illiana for the great hospitality and always taking care of us. The food gets better and better, Francisco, the Executive Chef is on duty, watching, helping, doing what a great supervisor does. He was asking questions about the quality of the food, it matters to him and we appreciated that. I had a massage at the Spa with Filomena. It was fantastic and much needed. We always enjoy our stay at the Melia and am sure we will return.
Family getaway at Melia Cozumel
The Melia Cozumel is a nice hotel located at the north point of Cozumel. It has a lovely beach and two average size pools ( one kids / one adult) Food is okay.. but you need to understand that you will be having most of your meals at the buffet restaurant and unfortunately there isn’t much variety through the week. There is one swim up bar and it only has one staff, so be patient. One thing I was disappointed about was the lack of staff during the day that would do “tidy up”. The resort simply looked unkept with dishes/glasses/bottles and cans lying about.
