We arrived to a very warm welcome and were shown around hotel , it’s in a great location with wonderful beach which is guarded by security , everyone was very friendly , our room was a swim up room the only thing was you couldn’t use the sun beds on balcony as when it rained they got wet and no sun to dry them , bathroom was well equipped but the fact that the wardrobes were in the bathroom was a huge negative as all our clothes became wet and smelt damp , Restaurants !! It says 7 which yes there are but not all open all the time and some you need to book and can’t always get in on days you would like ! Italian was amazing so was pool bar and Akee , Palms we struggled with ! We really enjoyed our stay and once it’s been taken over and done up we will go back entertainment was a bit poor in the evenings , could have done with some better shows
Amazing hotel, amazing staff!
Our stay here was amazing, we couldn’t fault the hotel one bit and the staff are incredible. Ackeem and Lando from Palms dining room, Merlin from by the main pool deck and Antoinette and all the girls from amber beach bar, they are all hard working and can’t do enough for you making our stay extra special. Not only these but every member of staff is so friendly and they are the reason we come back to Jamaica every year! Amazing holiday, we will definitely be returning!
The beach definately sells this resort. Gorgeous! We were not prestige and beach loungers were claimed early. Plenty of water activities available. We found prices cheaper at the on-site watersports building instead of the beach vendors. Not much to see snorkling off the beach though. Go to the reef. Do walk the beach. Employees are mostly pleasant and helpful all over the resort Good news for men in the restaurants: long pants are not needed. We cleaned up for our reservations in the Italian and the Asian restaurant only to see men come in in shorts, sandals, and shirts without collars. We saw a couple come into the Italian without reservations and be seated. The buffets are buffets.None of the restaurants were impressive. Not upscale.Get the weekly information page at check in to know whats open what nights. On what I believe is a sad note, most people did not tip. At the restaurants, at the coffee shop, definately not at the pool bars. When we did, some employees said thank you, others said nothing. Most employees do work hard for their guests. Room was very nice. Mini bar filled and room cleaned well daily. If you are planning your vacation here, you will enjoy the resort.
Stayed here as a last minute destination after the Thomas cook collapse. Just for a week. Nice, tidy, large rooms. We were on the second floor. Bottom floor were the swim up rooms but few people seemed to use them. Plenty of eateries and bars. Food was great. Weather was hit and miss but on the wet couple of days there were a few drinking games around the pool bar. Had a trip up to Ricks cafe. Was worth an afternoon out. 60 dollars in a taxi. Return. Wine with meals was good. I would recommend this place as a better than average base to stay in negril.
Great hotel , food wonderful. Rooms amazing. Staff really helpful and hardworking. Recommend the free water sports and the warm clear sea. Definately one of the best holidays we have had and in a beautiful setting
