Two week stay
My wife and I traveled to Divi Phoenix for our fourth time. We own there but typically trade for a different time. We were there over the last week of June and the first week of July. We arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday to find no line for check in and our room ready. We had a one bedroom on the new side. Room was clean and in good order. It was bit musty smelling as the air con wasn't set low enough. We made it to the concierge to get our activities booked which was great and quick. Super friendly and helpful. Our favorite spot is the pool bar. The bar staff is great. Lido was especially friendly and took the time to chat with us. His drinks are awesome! We had a couple of issues with our room like the safe stopped working. The maintenace crew came quickly to fix it. On the 4th, the staff raised an American flag while playing the Star Spangled Banner. That was followed by a cookout with burgers, brats, hot dogs, and chicken. Thanks so much for doing that! Can't wait to go back!
Aruba continues to be my number one vacation spot in the Caribbean. And the Divi Aruba Phoenix is the place to stay while enjoying the beauty of such a wonderful island. Of the nine times I have been to Aruba, six of those times I’ve stayed at the Divi Aruba Phoenix. From the friendly and professional greetings I received from the staff when I first arrived and courteous treatment from all the staff throughout my visit plus the Resort’s amenities...pools, proximity to the beach and good restaurants (Pure beach, Pure ocean, Pure Deli) all make this Resort a heck of a place to stay when visiting Aruba!!
Night and Day Units
Ask for new units Our 2 bedroom didn't sit 4 people. It was old and very tired looking. Staff was just average with the exception of the Ocean restaurant where we received excellant service. We did the timeshare tour and the new units were very nice and spacious. We own 5 star resorts and each time we exchange we are given the worst units in the resort. RCI should take into consideration what is exchanged and be given like units.
Timeshare owners Divi Phoenix
This is our third stay here as we bought here several years ago. We have been to Aruba 6 times but stayed here 3. It is a beautiful resort and is kept up pretty well. Most of the staff is very friendly. We love it here. Our unit was recently updated and looked great! If they would just tweak a few things I could give it a 5. The staff needs guest services training. They are not rude and like I said most are pleasant but most of them do not “go the extra mile.” They are good but not exceptional! I believe they could be with the proper training. One example is I went to ask the front desk to call and ask their sister resort a question as we were checking in there after our stay for a couple days. They handed me the phone to call myself. I could have done that without coming to the front desk! A great guest service agent would have handled it graciously for me. Not the end of the world but certainly not world class service.
