Great Time with excellent service
We loved our stay at the resort. Everything was excellent. What made the trip most memorable was our pool host Moises Ibarra. He provided my family the best service and made sure everything was excellent. Every day he would walk up to our family and say hello and would make sure we had everything we needed. One day I wasn’t feeling good, he went out of his way to make sure I was ok. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Don’t get me wrong all the pool workers did an awesome job, but Mosies treated us like family. Thank you Dreams for employing such a wonderful person. Sean Liske
This was our 6th trip to Cabo but our first to dreams. I have to say we are avid holiday inn resort goers as we are simple people. We wanted to splurge a bit this trip and see if there was better out there. Well this place was pretty great I have to say but it still surprised me lacking in a few areas. For the extra price we paid, I went with high expectations and wanted to be wowed. Firstly check in was a nightmare. 3 people behind the desk checking in one family at a time? It was a very loooong process, beyond slow. Then end up with keys to someone else’s room! Wasn’t a good impression off the bat. Rooms what can I say, just as expected. Pretty, clean, comfy beds etc. wasn’t sure why so many enter your room daily... housekeeping, then towels and ice later, then the mini bar stocker.... usually housekeeping does towels as they clean your room? Beach: way more beautiful over here, the color of the water was beautiful. Sand was different as well and the water way more rough then at HI. At HI you usually see people in the water at times... here no way! I always think the ones in the water at HI are crazy but the water didn’t see as rough or as slopes as here... Food and drinks: was slightly disappointed. Loved that there was more a la cartes here and no reservations needed but the buffet lacked big time imo. The buffet at HI was better and I never thought I would say that going to a dreams properly! No typical dinner buffet that offered different items, it was Mexican nightly. Which was ok if it was consistent. I found the first 3-4 days of our holiday the food was better then the end. Drinks were hit and miss depending who made what but over all that’s typical at all resorts. Service: check in very very slow. Buffet slow, bars didn’t always open at 10, was turned away many times at 10:15 saying they weren’t ready! Service in the a la cartes was fantastic and around the pool. I do have to say I feel this resort is understaffed though, you would have a long wait for your drink to come at the pool, if you went and got it yourself, it was just as long of a wait as there was mist times just 1 bartender at the beach bar. The waiters around the pool would make their own drinks half the time as the bar tender was trying to serve the people at the bar. The one thing I disliked was you had no access to the swim up bar by walking up. If you wanted a drink it was either enter the water or rely on a waiter. Same with ordering food from the pool restaurant. You couldn’t order and take out, you had to sit and dine or again rely on a waiter to get it for you. Sure you could go to the beach bar but sometimes it was super busy plus you could only get fries at the restaurant as the beach bar gave you ripple chips. My son is celiac and he did ok here, not as good as I thought from others I was told that said dreams was amazing with gf but did didn’t get sick! So that’s a huge plus. Being he’s a kid he was limited to what he would eat. The first night at the steak house they brought him gf bread. It was so good. The next time we went, no bread offered, not even reg bread for us. He would ask for cheese quesadilla and I was disappointed that they did not make fresh in home made ones!!! All bought, in a package! The last day the guy at the buffet asked him flour or corn, made him corn and then right beside his flour ones! Ugh! So even though the a la cartes did well with gf they didn’t seem to get it at the buffet. The Mexican night was a huge disappointment in my eyes, have had better fiestas at other resorts. No fresh tortillas made and a lack of soup here... which I do love. No tortilla soup at all, all week :( soup at breakfast twice and at the Mexican fiesta but that had seafood in it. Which I don’t do. The soup at the steak house was good and the chicken soup in room service was ok. Pool: cleaned daily and see water tested daily! It was warm and very nice yet still refreshing! Disliked the pool bottom as it’s rough on the feet and was surprised at how deep the pool was for being a family pool! I’m 5,1 and the pool is 5 feet! So no bueno for me as a non swimmer, on a float I go lol Over all we had a excellent stay and will definitely come back for the right price!
This was our 4th Dreams location visit and yet again impressed by their service and attention to detail. We arrived to celebrate our daughter's bday (and they were not aware). We mentioned it to a single person and before we knew it the resort was prepared to ensure she had a Great 10th bday. They placed a Happy Birthday sign on the door, sung Happy Birthday at multiple restaurants. We had a large suit and the maid, Corlina (I believe) was very accommodating. We also traveled with a toddler who need her naps so she would adjust her cleaning schedule accordingly. Food was great and fast. If this is your first Dreams or any resort be prepared to get approached to purchase many excursions or trips. It is normal but for some can be annoying. So know now that this only happens the moment you arrive. The only opportunity for the resort would be the communication ( not the language). The activities/restaurant information is displayed on the room TV and the hours of operation nor activities lined up. Also, we attempted to order room service, and they told us we had the old menu versus the new so we were unsure what was available. Lastly, the old menu/new menu incident happened again at a restaurant. Those are minor fixes that and didn't deter from the excellent time we had. Hope you enjoy!
Great Customer Service
My Fiancé and I enjoyed our stay. It was clean and beautiful. The staff had the best customer service. We were please with the resort. Rooms were big and comfortable. Loved the big patio areas. We would love to come back.
We stayed at 3 different resorts on our trip. Dreams, by far, was the very best. The food was excellent. The pool was never too crowded. The children's center was excellent. My 4 year old begged to go back each day, which allowed us to comfortably have an adult dinner. The shows were impressive, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Elias remembered us from the second we stepped foot onto the resort and asked us each day about our stay and if he could make it better. THE BEST!
