Excellent Stay for the family
We just came back from a seven night stay at the RIU Palace Bavaro. I must say with all the media hype from this spring I thought about cancelling and I'm glad we didn't. From the moment we arrived everything was great. I had initial apprehension as we stay at Dreams/ Secrets and Sandals/Beaches in the past. Our experience at this RIU Palace blew those others away. Our rooms were two Junior suites, kids had there own space and Mom and Dad had ours. Rooms are clean and well decorated if you don't live in an Ivory tower . Our cleaning service was awesome and I loved the little towel caricatures. They even surprise me with Birthday decorations which were not prompted. The Spa service was amazing (Dulce is great!). Other resorts the buffet is something to pass on, but not here. I could not get over the variety of cuisine as well as how orchestrated the staff are to accommodate the number of guests coning through. Specialty restaurants were great as well, with no reservations being needed. Never had an issue getting a chair at the beach or pool when needed, plenty of palms on the beach for a lazy afternoon nap after drinking at the pool bar. I really appreciate the staff if the RIU Palace Bavaro for making our vacation and Birthday week special.
Outstanding service especially by sub director Alejandro Moran
We stayed at this Beautiful property in honor of my son’s graduation from High School We stayed for a week the end of June in a Junior suite and the room was perfect with a balcony overlooking the wading pools .. The people, the services, the food ,the beaches ,the entertainment, were Amazing ! Alejandro the sub director greeted us when we arrived and checked on us periodically throughout the week He even arranged a dinner reservation at a Spanish Restaurant on the property and ordered a graduation cake where the employees came out and sang to my son ! Please don’t believe the media hype about Punta Cana This property was Beautiful and walking distance to the beach and pools I would highly recommend getting in touch with Alejandro during your stay You will not be disappointed ! ROOM ACCOMMODATION SUB PAR
Hi, we have stayed here for 2 weeks and daily complain about the towels, sheets and pillow smell almost like they don’t use soap My daughter cant sleep on the sheets provided They have brought new replacements and all the same Occasionally we get a fresh clean smelling linen supply We have stayed at many 5 star resorts and this one does not meet the standard We don’t have high standards simple things in life, fresh towels and linens Hotel staff don’t care they say it is how it is Last trip to Riu we travel to Punta Cana twice yearly
40th Birthday Vacation!
we enjoyed our stay here and only had a few little niggles, we had a ground floor room in the VIP area with pool view, the surrounding gardens are absolutely gorgeous with beautiful fanned palmed trees all immaculately kept, our room was large and clean but being on the ground floor we had a few ants visit and mosquitoes, a pug in repellent is advise, the room is a little ruff around the edges this is the reason i have taken a star off. the staff are friendly and accommodating but do expect tipping, the nightly entertainment was a little boring for us so had early nights which gave us the time in the morning to enjoy the sun rising which in my option is a fair trade off :) The food was plentiful and well cooked loads of variety throughout the week. The beach is large with loads of palms and loungers! being Atlantic facing the breeze can be to high at times but this could be the time of year we visited. we had large amounts of Sargassum seaweed roll in on two occasions in the afternoon but the rest of our time it was largely clear and they clean it away daily, it is a stunning beach, the bar is a little away from you if you like to lay more by the ocean but not to much of a bother to walk to. We would love to visit here again and bring our daughter with us on return as it is overall a genuinely nice hotel with beautiful beach and gardens! id like to add this just to warn other travels of our experience flying with tui, we flow with tui on a dreamliner, we was told we had window seats from a tui agent when booking but when we boarded we learnt that row 37 does not have a window and the space is tight against the wall of the plane terrible place to sit for nearly 9 hours very claustrophobic i would advise to avoid these seats if possible!
