Ocean view was amazing, and we can still see the Diamond head view as well. The staff were really friendly. Room was very neat and clean. I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. The staff new it was our honeymoon so there was always a surprise in our room every time we came back to change clothes. Bottle of Champagne, cake, flowers, etc..
Nice room, friendly hotel staff
October 2019: I’ve stayed here a few times this year and haven’t been disappointed at all. I was originally in a smaller room with two double beds which I found to be ok, but a bit too small for me. I had a leaking toilet so after the first night the manager offered to put me in another room, so I took the offer. The second room was much bigger with bigger beds but was lacking any kind of view. Regardless I was still happy and am thankful for the bigger bed. BE AWARE that there is a lot of construction/renovations going on for the next few months at this property so if you are a late sleeper or want to have access to a big swimming pool this might not be the place for you. This is from my April 2019 stay: The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. My only negative is that the bed was too hard for my liking. Other than that in enjoyed staying here very much. It’s close to everything in Waikiki and if you don’t like to walk, grab an Uber or Lyft. We had a great view of the beach and Diamond Head and even had a 1 legged pigeon who came and visited us at sunset every night.
3 night stay before a cruise
we had an east facing room with fab views to Diamond Head Crater. We had booked bed and Breakfast and the breakfasts were good. The bed was comfortable which was the main consideration. The bathroom door didn't shut properly so there was a big gap when closed. not sure if that was intentional. We did have some very noisy neighbours for a couple of nights which spoilt the experience a bit but thats not the hotels fault. We never found the bar so not sure if there was one.| We used the Concierge for some tourist advice which was good. we stored the luggage on the final morning so we could do some more sightseeing. Very helpful. Overall a good stay and a nice hotel
Stayed in room 2414 right at the top of the hotel Great room with fantastic ocean and Diamond-head views. There are 6 lifts which are fast and frequent. The hotel organised our helicopter trip round the island, car hire, sunset cruise and Pearl Harbour trip - all great trips organised really effortlessly. The pool area was great despite the refurbishment noise taking place when we were there. The lobby shops are all fantastic (barter on the prices on offer - I did) and they have the inevitable 2 "ABC" shops on site (which were really useful). The staff were really helpful and the three restaurants on site are all good too. We treated ourselves to a spa massage too - the ladies were friendly and made us feel special. I really cannot fault the hotel in the two weeks we were there.
Awesome Hotel! Great Renovation
I loved everything about this hotel. There are two towers, i stayed in the tower closer to the beach. It was amazing. Great renovated room with real AC and a nice balcony. The bathrooms are great, double sinks with nice separate tub and shower. Beds were comfortable. Food was ok, the breakfast buffet was great. Staff wonderful. I love that they give you refillable water bottles! The hotel is undergoing a renovation but i never found it obtrusive or loud, they have two pools so if one is under reno the other one is open. Another great thing is the pool is open past six pm. Sometimes you just want to go swimming at night, and you can here! I will definitely recommend this to everyone- great property.
