Perfect winter getaway!
We stayed here with our family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 9) 1/13 - 1/18 and had a wonderful time! The rooms are spacious, the food/drinks were very good, the service was great and the beach was the most beautiful beach we've ever seen! We particularly loved the fresh smoothie bar daily and dinner at the Fish Deck. We felt the all-inclusive package was well worth the money spent since food/drinks are very expensive in Turks and Caicos. There were also a lot of food options for the kids which was great since one of ours is a picky eater. The pool was nothing special (i.e. no water slides, no ocean view) but the kids loved it nonetheless and there was a pool bar which we enjoyed! There was also a fun entertainment crew that came around the pool area. The kids loved that they could get fresh popped popcorn and snow cones in the pool area as well. We also visited Blue Haven, one of the sister properties, which was also very beautiful but noticeably more windy! With regards to the rooms, I can agree that they were slightly dated but that had no effect on our stay as we came to be outside in the tropical sun! The cleaning crew promptly cleaned our room each day and we had a nice clean, spacious room to come back to each night. If I have one complaint it would be the pillows... the pillows were not comfortable! I'm not sure if they are the same in every room, but our room had square shaped pillows (instead of rectangular). So, that would be my only suggestion for immediate improvement. I would rather have a comfy pillow than an updated room! That said, we absolutely hope to stay here again in the future!
Most expensive all inclusive I ever experienced Paltry entertainment at nite Bianca heped with our drink requests We liked being able 2 experience the Beach House and Blue Haven resorts Great 2 b safe enough to bike into town and other resorts Staff were friendly and responsive However, for half the price we enjoyed Secrets ,5 star all inclusive in the Dominican Republic Next year Aruba! Adios Alexandra
I wish we stayed longer...
We stayed at the Alexandra for 4 nights and this was not long enough. :( Pros: -Property is aesthetically pleasing and clean. Everywhere you look is clean, including the beach which is maintained by the hotel, Our room was spacey and inviting. -No matter which building you are in, you do not need to spend more than 5 minute walking to anywhere -- restaurants, pool, beach. -The staff is very kind. They not only handle their responsibilities well but they went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way possible. They are resourceful and had an answer to every question we had. My boyfriend left his hat at another resort and they brought it back to us within an hour. We felt very wanted. -We were able to take the shuttle to the other resorts owned by the same company. We especially enjoyed Kitchen218 at the Beach House. -The smoothie bar is a really nice touch and the employees working there make a really yummy smoothie. -The hotel is around 5 minutes away from a cute shopping mall where you can purchase souvenirs and other goodies. -Excursion tour guide for parasailing was great. You can book this excursion and many others through the hotel. Cons: -Nothing. We wished we stayed longer. :(
Hi! We stayed at Alexandra from January 9 to the 14th. Our room number was 4403 and cannot remember our housekeepers name but she was phenomenal! Did a great job and was so pleasant! Everyone at the resort was very gracious!
The Alexandra Hotel was great. The service was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and nice. The food was delicious. The fish deck food was delicious, alongside the many options of food in the buffet. Location was great. Right on Grace Bay Beach. The only complaint I have is the lack of nightly entertainment. Unfortunately, there weren’t any shows at night nor any activities such as karaoke. The only thing that was done was a “live dj”. However, even with the live DJ, people failed to stay and dance. The only thing I would change would be the entertainment. Otherwise, everything was great.
