Aweful
We are at Secrets Mirabel and so far it has been a diaster. We are UVC members and WOH members, we travel a lot. We have never had an experience like this. We arrived at 3 pm today our room wasn't ready so we went to the pool. It was filthy, food under chairs, dirty towels everywhere. We go back to the club at 5:30 to find our room still not ready. They gave us room keys but took us to a different room. Saying to wait until they fix our room. When I walked down to the room there are 6 guys working on the door. The gentleman was rude to me because I didn't want to get ready in the "holding room". They refuse to give us a room that we can stay in. We have tried to speak to a manger no one will help us. Do NOT come here.

Great week!
Just returned from a 6 night stay at Secrets Mirabel. The resort and beach were beautiful! Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. All of the staff were very attentive. We had a great butler - Fonzi. He took care of all of our dinner reservations and checked in with us daily with a list of events as well as to check on any needs we may have. He even decorated the room for my friends birthday. We tried all of the restaurants and liked them all. We went to Olio for pizza one night and Yesenia (who was making the pizzas) was awesome. We sat at the bar and she interacted with us as well as the salad chef. It was such a yummy and enjoyable meal! Overall a very nice resort and we would return again!

Excellent Stay with a Few Opportunities for Improvement
We just returned from a 5-night stay at Secrets Mirabel with two other couples and had a wonderful experience overall. The food, drinks, entertainment, rooms, and views were the highlights and truly exceeded our expectations. Dining was outstanding, especially breakfast at Olio—the Olio Benedict was unforgettable, and the service and mimosas were excellent. The Market Café breakfast buffet was also great with plenty of variety and a lovely patio. Lunch options felt a bit limited, though the Market Café’s make-your-own pasta station was a standout. Snacks in the Preferred Lounge were always available and appreciated. Dinner was exceptional—we tried Himitsu, Olio, Blue Water, and Bordeaux, and every meal was delicious. Room service was also solid (BLT, tacos, and pasta were favorites), though delivery times were about an hour. Preferred benefits were excellent, especially the Sky Lounge, which was our favorite spot on the property—beautiful views, great service, and amazing sunsets. Entertainment was lively every night, with a great mix of live bands, DJs, karaoke, and fun evenings at Desires. As a bonus, the bar even put on Buffalo Sabres games, which we loved. The resort itself is stunning and modern, with gorgeous Gulf views and spacious balconies in the Preferred Tower. It does run cold indoors, so bring a light sweater. There are also many stairs, which add character but may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns. Constructive feedback: The pools were extremely cold, to the point that few guests were using them. Heating at least the Preferred Pool would greatly improve the experience. Preferred Pool access did not appear to be monitored, despite being at capacity while the resort was only about 65% full. The Preferred Pool area could benefit from added music to create more atmosphere. Birds around and in the pools were an issue, made worse by guests feeding them—this should be more actively addressed. Overall, we had an amazing stay and hope to return. With warmer pools and a few operational tweaks, this resort would be truly exceptional.

Great place !
I travelled to this hotel, in January 2026. My wife and I loved the place. There's a lot of food choices, good restaurants, the service is amazing. The location is great, close to the airport. It was super clean, everywhere we went, rooms, restaurants, communal spaces. I need to do a HUGE shout out to Sylvia. One of the most amazing, kind and fun person at the hotel. Her service and attention to detail is unmatched. Amazing personality, helps when it matters and is smiling at all times. She truly made our stay better. Thank to her and the team.

Repeated Cases of Food Poisoning: Hotel Should Shut Down until Food Hygiene Under Control
I am another person who got food poisoning at Secrets Mirabel. I blame it on cold previously cooked food served to me at the Olio Restaurant. About 2 hours after eating there I had projectile vomiting, abdominal pain, and bloating. I was up all night, extremely uncomfortable, to say the least. By chance we spoke to another guest the next morning who just had a similar illness. There are repeated complaints about gastrointestinal illnesses at the Secrets Mirabel on this and other review sites. We chose Secrets Mirabel because it is a high end, luxury resort. We expected that our health would not be at risk there. However, it is obvious that Secrets Mirabel, does not manage food hygiene adequately. There is a risk of even more severe illness. Secrets Mirabel markets itself to an older clientele, more prone to severe illness and even death from food borne toxins. As a physician, it is my opinion that Secrets Mirabel should be shut down until adequate steps are taken to ensure that food borne illness does not place its guests at risk to their heath. This would be required here in Canada. Needless to say, persons like me should be provided compensation for the loss to our health that we suffered at the hotel's hands. None was offered to me when I discussed this matter at checkout.
