Feb 16, 2026A Great Stay - Excellent Service!
We had an incredible stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun, honestly one of the best vacation experiences we’ve had. The resort itself was very clean, the service was outstanding, and the drinks were always great. Every detail made it feel like a truly relaxing and enjoyable trip. What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was our personal butlers, Javi and Miguel. They went above and beyond every single day to make sure everything was perfect for us. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel taken care of and ensured our entire family was happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cancun, but even more so, I would highly recommend Javi and Miguel. They will make your experience unforgettable.

My wife and I plus our 11 year old son came here from Feb to Feb 10 from Toronto 🇨🇦. We had a 1 bedroom Director Suite. (Check in) - Was smooth and very quick. We arrived at the resort around 230pm. Room was ready and bell hops were attentive and ready to get us to our room. (Room) - Director Suite was so nice. 2 full washrooms came in so handy and the room was so spacious and had 2 drink fridges. We have no complaint whatsoever on the room, from cleanliness to housekeeping to restocking of the fridges and room service we never had an issue. Flor was our housekeeper and she was so nice. Such a great lady. (Beach) - We are beach people so we put in a lot of research to looking for a nice clean beach and this one didnt disappoint. Granted the 1st two days were chilly due to the cold front but from then on it was nice to hang out in the ocean once u get past the first 5 minute freeze. Beach waiters were around to take drink orders but sometimes took up to 30-40 minutes to get ur drinks. (Pool) - Family pool was overcrowded and wasn't very good for small kids to having sonny young adults partying and taking up the area. Always seemed like a big college party was going on there. (Kids Activities) - Kids had lots to do, it was great. From the Kids Club, to the Arcade and Trampoline Park plus Surf Simulator and the Water park. Kids will never get bored. Keep in mind the Surf Simulator, Arcade and Trampoline Park are an additional cost. (Food) - lots of options to eat. Buffet for breakfast was great and Lunch had some good options but dinner was lackluster and kind of boring with the options they provided. The a la cartes were OK. The Steakhouse was our favourite and the Japanese & Indian was good as well. We weren't fans of the Italian (Too salty). The Overtime sports bar had lots of pub food options but service there was very slow for food. The Guy's Burger Joint was good for lunch time. Great burgers. They also had a hot dog truck by the family pool. The Cafe coffee shop is 10/10. Soooo good. Lastly (Entertainment) - the resort had decent shows but they seemed to get very repetitive in terms of them being more of DJ party rather than your typical resort shows. We do think this area could be vastly improved. This is a good resort, but I think its better to come here with a group of people as it seemed many people came in large groups and didnt care to interact or meet people. It was a shame to see some rude behaviour from some guests towards others but thats the individual and not the resorts fault. Would we return? Probably not as we tend not to do repeat visits. But we'll give this resort a solid 4.3/5 👌

Amazing highly recommended
I celebrated my birthday at the resort. It was an amazing experience our butler Armando went over and beyond from the time we got there till the time we left. He made sure we were taking care of! The service at the star class pool was outstanding, the guys were so much fun. We also booked some excursions and had a blast! Would highly recommend.

Hotel was nice, staff was super friendly, food was good but the room was terrible. When we first got into our room noticed one of the cabinet doors was falling off.. Tried to go out onto the deck but the screen door was broken so I had to take it off the track and put it on the deck so we could get in and out. The bar fridge leaked at some point looked like so all beside and underneath had spots of mold everywhere. The lights in the bathroom would start to flicker after they were left on for a certain amount of time. Door stop to the main door was broken off. Room didn’t feel all that clean either. The beds are not comfortable at all and the pillows suck. Doubt we will be back.

Don't believe all the bad reviews
Ok, so we were there at the beginning of December, this review is a little bit late. First off, after reading lots of reviews on TripAdvisor and joining a Facebook group (take my advice, don't do that), and the fact that TUI downgraded it from a platinum, we were kind of dreading going there. We had an amazing two weeks!! Yes, the decor is tired, the wardrobe doors don't quite line up, but if that's something that would ruin your holiday?? Then take my advice and stay home. We stayed in the adult only section, in room 15101, would recommend for sun. We arrived after a nine hour flight, Cancun Airport arrivals was rubbish, as always. There was only two people on check in, so we waited almost 30 minutes to get checked in. It would be lovely if they provided some seating and some sort of ticket system so people didn't have to stand and wait. However, we filled in a questionnaire on day 3 where we pointed out the long wait, after that there always seemed to be 4 people on check in. No extra seats though. The room was huge, very comfortable, weird lighting controls, not a bother though. The staff were fantastic, big shout out to Manuel at breakfast and lunch in the adult section restaurants, he was so lovely, what all hotel staff should aspire to be. Get that man on a management course immediately. Rosey, one of the building 15 concierge's, what an absolute sweetheart. The wait staff at the sports bar, I could go on. We loved our swim up pool, the one next door in 15102 was massive! Pool came to about chest level, so deep for a swim out. Yes they were cold, but I've been in colder, we used ours all day, every day. The A La Carte restaurants were a bit hit and miss, but no one would starve there. I didn't think the drinks were watered down, they got me drunk one night, and I'm Irish, used to real alcohol, not like I only drink Budweiser 🤣🤣🤣. Room was cleaned every day, unless we put up the do not disturb sign. Room service menu wasn't the best, but edible. Would we go again, yes we would. The adult only pool was busy, but there was always sunbeds available on the beach, even in the afternoon.
