Our family had an awesome time, but I did want to point out just a few things that fell short. First off there was only 1 day out of the 5 we stayed that tacos were available by the pool . We're in Mexico. Tacos should be available everyday! Secondly, the rooms need a major update! They are so small, the beds are tiny, and the rooms are dark. Third- I read tons of reviews before we came and I emailed the director of the hotel about the water park. The main reason we booked the hotel was because it had a water park for our boys. I kept seeing reviews from months prior about the big kid slides not being operational. I messaged the hotel with my concern and was told the slides should all be operational by the time we arrived 3 months later. Well it is now 4 months after our visit and I am still seeing reviews about the same slides not working. There is no way it takes a year to fix some water slides. Do your part. People expect all facilities to be fully operational when they book their vacation. All that said, we loved the hotel and will be back next Spring Break with family. Please have the waterpark fully working!

Jul 09, 2025Disappointing Experience at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya
Our recent stay at Hard Rock Riviera Maya was unfortunately below expectations. We encountered several issues that impacted our overall experience: bugs throughout the room, a visibly dirty bathtub, and no ventilation in the toilet area, which made it uncomfortable. Additionally, we were disappointed by the lack of IT support when requesting to view specific sport games—something that should be easily accommodated at a resort of this caliber. Dining was also frustrating, with consistently long wait times at nearly every restaurant. Given the brand reputation, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, comfort, and service. We stayed here for 4 nights and everything the hotel did/provided was great! The food was top notch all around and the service was impeccable. There was always plenty of seating options at the pool and beach, along with plenty of towels. Many activities were provided during the day and evening as well. The room itself was comfortable and clean. We'd definitely recommend this location to others.

Awesome experience and great service
Carmelo the pool concierge was very accommodating and made me feel very welcome. He centrally checked up on me during my visit to ensure I had everything I needed. He even helped me learn some Spanish phrases and did not laugh at my accent! Very good experience!
