May 30, 2025Stay away! Major Construction!!
Our stay was extremely underwhelming. Service was subpar, guest beds were dirty, pool is very small and major construction next door. Upon departure I was offered a free stay by the GM but when writing to Marriott the GM denied this offer. Very disappointing. Much better options on this beautiful island.

We spent 3 fantastic days in the Mystique Holobx. The hotel is located right by isolated beach cleaned from algae. The room was quite big with immediate access to the beach. Hotel facilities are well maintained and the staff is extremely friendly and cooperative.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mystique Holbox - but given price, we expected something a bit more. The room was fine. The service was fine. Everything was fine - but "just" fine. Best part was the restaurant - best lunch we had on the island. Easy walk from the heart of the town - close to bars and restaurants. Wanted to like this place more - but just nothing stuck out as special.

Beautiful Island, Disappointing Hotel
We arrived at Mystique Holbox yesterday and were extremely disappointed with our room. We had booked the Junior Deluxe Suite, which was advertised as having a large double bed and a balcony with a view. Instead, we were given a room with two small twin beds and a balcony that faces a wall, blocking all sunlight and offering no view whatsoever. I raised this issue with the staff, but they said there was nothing they could do and didn’t offer any kind of apology, compensation, or solution. To make matters worse, I had prepaid a 10% tip—something I now completely regret. We traveled across the world for what we hoped would be a 5-star romantic getaway in paradise—but instead, we’re sleeping in separate beds and staring at a wall. It’s honestly unacceptable and feels like a scam. Holbox itself is absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting, but take my advice: book your stay somewhere else.

Restaurant Customer service
The restaurant was so good. It had really good portions hector gave amazing service. He was kind and gave good suggestions. Amazing! Would go again! the food was really good and the environment was so welcoming weather was amazing same for the drinks!
