Great experience
The entire staff was excellent, from the parking attendants to the front desk, all the way to the housekeeping crew. The grounds were very well-maintained, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

A Great Location
We returned to the Hyatt Regency Maui after 42 years! Of course, it did not look the same as it has been extensively remodeled over the years. We enjoyed our stay; however, a few disappointments were the limited access to the beach and construction taking place which, of course, was necessary for shoreline reconstruction. We were confused by the lack of access to being able to walk around the pool perimeter, and were informed about the closure of the grotto which was unsafe and the construction of the restaurant Japengo. We saw several guests attempt to walk that direction but unable to go through. The pool bar was closed for remodeling; however, there was an alternate bar available during the day and mobile units set up for ordering drinks. The wait staff in restaurants and pool area as well as housekeeping was very attentive to our needs and requests. We thoroughly enjoyed the Drums of the Pacific Luau which is held at the Hyatt Regency. We do enjoy Kaanapali beach area as there are so many restaurants and shopping and golfing within walking distance.

Faded glory
It’s an average hotel now that they made the pool less cool by taking out the grotto and water fall. Room had a certain mildew smell to it. Good hotel still but not what it used to be. Best part is, you get to utilize the sister property next door. That’s where I hung out most during the day.

Great and clean hotel. Seems like pretty good value for stay.
We booked this resort for part of our honeymoon. We had an amazing time. The view from our room was fantastic. If you decline room service you get $10 credit. We got the 45 year anniversary deal which I think goes for a while through 2026. We thought it provided a lot of value to our stay. The resort was beautiful and clean. The free activities came with culture lessons which were really good. We had an unfortunate allergy incident from one of the shops located in the resort and let the front desk and manager know. They did what they could and called the ambulance and medical professionals and also went to talk to the leased convenience store. The manager was very nice and helpful. We would come here again!

Lovley Experience
Beautiful, clean, staff were all so nice and welcoming. It was honestly the best hotel I've ever stayed at. It was my marriage anniversary and on arrival we were given champaign and bead necklace. There were many credits given on activities, food ect. The Luau was amazing. The grounds were breath taking. The pool was fabulous
