Go for it with kids!
Our request to be in the Napili Tower was easily accommodated, as we were told this was closer to the Hyatt Residences pool, which has more shade. We ended up using the lagoon pool most for our 1.5 and 3.5 year olds. They had a blast! The water was warm enough for them to swim all day -- I would have taken 2 more degrees when the wind came up. Housekeeping was so friendly. Pool staff were hit/miss. Loved the Hyatt Club offerings given the cost of other available food options and the ages of our kids.

Beautiful pool area!
PROS: Very comfortable, clean room. Beautiful pool areas. Parking was great. CONS: The large amount per night put on hold for incidentals should be advised at booking. Our room was near the outdoor meeting area and one night there was a rally of some kind that started after 9PM and was very loud! Many more pros than cons and I would definitely recommend this resort others!

Meeting in Paradise
Lovely peaceful rooms. Stunning ocean view. Beautifully maintained property. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. The lobby atrium is a stunning place to relax and enjoy the ocean breezes. The rooms are quite spacious with a lanai to enjoy the ocean view.

A stay to forget, and a hotel to be avoided
I had to truly take time before I decided to write this. As a loyal lifetime Globalist member of the Hyatt rewards program, I have booked a stay for my wife and I for the 7th of March for 5 nights, some work commitments made me change and have my daughter ago with my wife in my place, My wife arrived at the hotel and was not allowed to check in under my status, she was told that I would need to wait to see if she can get a regular room or until I checked-in in person. When she asked for a manager she was told to step out of the line and wait about 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later, the manager showed up Michelle Niezmen, without acknowledging my wife, when my wife ask her if she is the manager, she lifted her finger in her face to tell her that you will have to wait. I called the 800# to see what is going on, they said they contacted the hotel and she will be fine to check in, another gentleman who said he was a manager as well came out and was apologetic and helped her check-in. I tried to have her put this ordeal behind her and enjoy the time off, the next day I made a VIP seating for her and my daughter for the Luau in the resort, they checked in and got their seating to be told that the Luau is canceled because of a water main brake, and they told that they have to find other place to eat outside in town, after few calls and an Uber ride we found a place to eat. we comeback and still no water. sometimes during the evening while they were left 2 bottles of water for consumption, and assuming for flushing, "very thoughtful". You would have thought a hotel would have offered some compensation to their customers, but absolutely no offer of compensation to your most loyal clients, or they chose to do that only to some. The Luau was supposed to have been rescheduled, when my wife asked, she was told she needed to do that, and they don't have the same seating, but they have seating all the way in the back, but there was no adjustment to the price till she demanded the adjustment. What can I say a tremendous failure in the great customer experience that Hyatt is known for, and lack of training in such what supposed to be world class resort. This experience certainly turned me off and actually canceled a couple of upcoming reservation at Hyatt resorts, disrespect and poor customer service will only lead to the failure.

I am sure will be amazing when renovations are complete
I booked this hotel because a friend of mine came on her honeymoon but that was a year and half ago. When we got to the resort it did not look anything like we thought it would. No penguins, no wildlife and as a matter of fact the pool was not working for a few days. We spoke with management and they were so understanding and accommodating they did everything they could to make us happy. That being said, everyone here ws so nice and we really had a great time. The food is great, the pool when it was up and running was nice, although you have to go out early if you want a chair especially with an umbrella as there are not that many. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. There is not really a beach but not Hyatt's fault. you have to go down a few hotels to get to a bigger beach. We actually went to Napili which has beautiful beaches or Black Rock beach is great too. the luau was good including the food. I would not recommend staying until all their renovations are done which is hopefully soon just because it is very expensive to come to Hawaii and you want to be happy where you are staying for the price you are paying.
