We love the Hyatt Regency-- the location, the staff and the amenities! We were treated with amazing joy and attention. The sunsets and sunrises are unreal. The property has been renovated and is awesome. It's a 15 minute walk to Whaler's Village and a 20 minute walk to Black Rock. Awesome location for lots to do!

My favorite Maui hotel!
I absolutely love staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui. The ocean views are stunning, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves is pure magic. The staff is truly what makes this place special — so kind and welcoming, and I love seeing familiar faces I’ve known for nearly 20 years. I also love the pools, food, snow cone stand, penguins, and how beautiful the entire property is. While beach access is limited, I deeply respect that it’s done to protect and preserve the beach — caring for the land matters more than convenience. This hotel feels like home. I’ll always come back. 🌺🌊

Nice place!! Pool server Frisesa was a gem. So sweet. However, we ordered the nachos- and bad news! For $24 meatless platter - was more of a hand full of chips with dips. Don’t be so stingy on food ! We already pay for overpriced drinks etc!!

Tired and outdated, Desperately needs a refresh or start over. For that matter Ka’anapali is stuck in the early 2000’s.

Family-Friendly with Minor Cleanliness Issues
In general, our experience was good. Very family- and kid-friendly hotel. However, there were multiple hairs on the bed, in the bathroom, etc., which was disappointing.
