Fabulous at the Fontainebleau
My stay at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the elegant design and sophisticated ambiance was stunning. No wait at check-in. The service was exceptional. We spent sometime shopping at Cartier, where we selected some beautiful jewelry. We also enjoyed an unforgettable night with friends at Collins Cocktail Bar. Which was noted one of the best bars in America. If you’re seeking a luxury escape in Las Vegas, the Fontainebleau hits the spot.

Experience was fine, but enough issues that I don't think I would return--Maybe?
I am going to tell you what I liked, did not like, and neutral about and you can decide if it's right for you: Liked: Every single employee that we came across was friendly, said "hello" and most were helpful and we had contact with many. Electric curtains and shades. Master low light and light off and on controls. Very comfortable double beds for my friend and I. Parking costs ($20 a day) part of the resort fee and you can come and go just with your room key and even make a final exit with it late on your last day. Ample self-parking. Great restaurants. Quiet with great view of the strip and Sphere and mountains from the 56th Floor. Bellman delivered our bags to Self-parking space so we did not need to move car. 24 Hour Cafe Fast elevators. Minimal casino walk through to get to room elevators. Great lobby bar with live music some times. There is separate refrigerator for your water and stuff separate from the one they charge to take things from. Away from the center of the Strip so it was much calmer, quieter and more relaxed than center strip hotels. It's far enough off so few peeps just come to wander around. In the hotel is the one and only Hall of Excellence everyone should visit. Did not like: In addition to expensive room rates--everything in this hotel is very expensive. For example: Breakfast for 2 was about $80. A can of Blue Diamond Almonds that at most is $4 in the the supermarket is $10 in their shop. Cup of coffee: $8.00. Bottle of water: $8 to $12. (You get the picture.) Like most of the strip hotels they suffer from housekeeping problems--one specific one had me pulling my hair out: On check in, because all the tubes look exactly the same, housekeeping gave us 2 tubes of body wash, 1 tube of conditioner and No Shampoo. So I had to wash my hair with body wash it was too late to call down. The next service day, they took away the used body wash and conditioner and just left us with one tube of body wash and no shampoo or conditioner. I needed shampoo immediately for a quick turn around to celebrate my birthday so I called for them to just bring up a tube of shampoo right away. --It took 3 calls! and 45 minutes for someone to bring up one tube of shampoo! We were late for my birthday dinner due to their incompetence and probably the reason I would not stay here again. Poor water pressure at the sink. Took a long time to fill a cup. It trickles out. (They may have a water pressure issue at higher levels in the hotel?) Poor temperature control in the shower--the water temperature kept changing and you needed to adjust often. Mediocre quality towels--I had better in my last stay at the Best Western $55 a night resort fee--except for parking, not sure what else it gives you? Neutral: Long walk to anything: front entrance, self-parking, or Uber/Lyft pickup/drop-off area. General store could be better stocked. More healthy food in the 24 hour cafe--it was mainly sugar. No indoor lap pool. Outdoor pool only open during summer months. Gym requires extra fee.

Did not Meet 5 Star Expectations
The stay started out well. We arrived early and we were upgraded to a higher floor with a view which was very nice and everything was very clean. It was our wedding anniversary so we were looking forward to lounging by the pool during the day and had booked three shows for our stay. I had called ahead to make sure the pools were open. I was told they were. That was not the case. Only one small Ramada hotel type pool was open. All the other pools, the ones we thought we would be using, were empty. Mind you, they charged us a $55/day resort fee. When we checked out, we asked for an adjustment on that fee since we were not given what was promised. We were told that was not possible. When we arrived home, I filled out the hotel's review and noted that problem. I was contacted and told that the resort fee also covers Wi-fi, a gym and a concierge service. I am sorry, but even cheap hotels provide free wi-fi, a gym and the same type of pool we had access to and do not charge resort fees at all. One would think that the resort fee would be adjusted to reflect the lack of open amenities featured on the hotel website. Aside from this debacle, the hotel is not located in a very nice part of the strip and we did not feel safe walking around the area at night. We spent a small fortune on taxis every day to get the shows we booked, the airport and transport to the center and lower strip hotels since there was really nothing to do during the day at this hotel. We tried the monorail one day but it was a very far walk for us senior citizens. We ate at two restaurants, Mother Wolf and Washing Potato as well as the food court. Nothing really stood out at any of these dining establishments considering the high price tags. Chez Bon Bon was very good for gelato and morning pastries. I guess if you are a business person and have a convention to attend at the convention center, this would be a good choice but we were there to celebrate an anniversary so not impressed.

Tired of being ignored. Adios Fontainebleau!!!!
My so called Marketing Host never returns my calls or emails. When I call the:1-833-702-7800 number with my offer code, they ask me if I contacted my marketing host first? I told them that my host never responds. Fontainebleau manangent really needs audit their marketing host’s communications. Based on their snub, I will NOT plan on staying or playing at Fontainebleau regardless of free room offers with free play. I want to stay at a casino where I am acknowledged for my level of play. Not ignored. I am sure I am not the only customer experiencing this? Adios Fontainebleau!

Disappointing Birthday stay
I planned a trip for my partners 40th birthday with 12 friends. We were sadly very disappointed with our stay. We booked through AMEX and didn't receive an early check-in or a complimentary upgrade (which I'm aware is a perk that's not guaranteed, but I've been to Vegas dozens of times and we usually stay at the Wynn and have never once not received these benefits there). Once our room was finally ready at regular check-in time, our keys didn't work. This was an issue we encountered multiple times throughout the trip, and had to visit the front desk numerous times to receive new keys. Incredibly inconvenient. When we finally made it to the room, housekeeping was in there, so we had to wait in the hallway for 10 minutes for them to finish, even though we were told the room was ready. We booked a Noble Suite Pool View. We were on the 8th floor, which I found odd that an almost $1000/night suite would be on such a low floor. The view was HORRIBLE. There was no view of the pool, it was a view of a white building and rooftop. Our friends all booked standard rooms and they were on higher floors with better views, paying a fraction of what we paid. When I asked the front desk if we could move to a different room, they said all suites were booked and there was nothing they could do. When I checked online, there were suites available to book, so I'm not sure why the hotel wouldn't accommodate our request. Aside from the view, the suite was nothing special, and definitely not worth what we paid. The spa was fully booked during our stay. Even if we were able to go, the "day pass" was $250, and only valid for 4 consecutive hours. This seems outrageous for hotel guests to have to pay that much money to use the spa amenities. For a Michelin Key 5-star hotel, expectations were high, and were not met. I am extremely disappointed that I chose to celebrate my partner's birthday here.
