    Great week

    I want to say that Omar and Luis our butlers were outstanding. Garza Blanca is a fantastic resort. We had the 2 bedroom suite and it was very nice. Quality of food was great and and the employees work very hard. I have been to all of the Garza Blanca locations and they are all wonderful. Cabo seemed to be understaffed and the employees had a lot of area to cover. We made reservations for each dinner and had to wait each time. Not because the restaurant was full, but due to too few staff. The breakfast setup was odd and a bit confusing. We loved our trip, but we will spend our time at Cancun or Puerto Vallarta.

    This is the best resort that I have ever stayed at. Amazing story at the end of my review!

    Make sure that you read the last paragraph of this review! We have stayed at several resorts in this area. We wanted to try something different, so we picked Garza Blanca. I was somewhat apprehensive due to some of the reviews. Upon arrival, all apprehension disappeared! Everything was incredible. The resort was beautiful, well landscaped, and well maintained. The room was perfect. At all previous resorts that we visited in this area, there was always a problem getting a chair by the pool. People were getting up early and saving seats so they could get one. There was NEVER a problem getting a good seat by the pool. This alone made a huge difference. The employees of this resort were all well trained and professional. They made you feel welcome, and almost always went above and beyond to please you. Housekeeping came every day, and spent over an hour in our room. Sheets were changed, and everything was made immaculate! The restaurants had great food. The steak house had dry aged beef that was included in the all inclusive...NO EXTRA CHARGE! The rooftop infinity pool and bar was incredible, as well as the staff there. They gave you a bag of iced down water bottles as soon as you arrived, and spoiled you after that. They would come by and offer you treats and snacks all day. HERE IS THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE PART: We flew home on a Friday. Saturday evening I was looking for a prescription. I asked my wife if she had seen it, and she suggested that I might have left it at our lake house. In the middle of the night, I sat up, and realized that I had left the prescription and some money in the safe in our room when we checked out. I figured that it was long gone. I called the resort the next day. The next morning I called the resort. I was transferred to Angelica, a Premium Service Manager. I explained that I had left items in my safe. She asked me for my name and room number. I was on hold a minute, and she came back and told me to check my email. She emailed a picture of my prescription and 5 $100 bills. She said that these were the items left in my safe. She arranged for an outside company to get my money back at a cost of $25. WHERE CAN YOU GET THIS KIND OF SERVICE AND HONESTY???? I am still amazed, and will be back soon to visit Garza Blanca!

    Excellent hotel, but with check-in/checkout snafus

    We had an excellent 4-day stay at this hotel once past the check-in snafus. Normally I would ignore checkin problems as a one-off issue but experiencing similar problems on checkout makes it hard to ignore issues. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby is beautiful, excellent vacation vibe, a full-service bar and the ocean view from the lobby wants to just drop your bags and go down to the white-sand beach. The food in all the 4 different restaurants we tried was good to excellent. The restaurant service staff is very good, they are attentive, efficient and helpful in ordering. The pools are clean - very well maintained. Service from the pool bars is excellent too. There is even a pool for toddlers — perhaps no more than one had a half feet deep. Our 1 bedroom suite was large. The bedroom had a king bed, plenty of closet space and a separate bathroom and shower. The “family room” had a full size sofa bed, a dining table that could seat 5, a kitchenette, full size refrigerator and a stacked washer/dryer. The balcony was quite large and well furnished. Overall I would rate our stay as a 5-star stay. However, our experience checking in and checking out left a sour taste in our mouth. We had 2 different reservations but with the same last name. Both rooms were “all inclusive”. One reservation checked in, no problem. But the other one couldn’t check-in because “you are already checked in”. OK fine. Give me the key. “You have already been given keys”. No, I am just standing here checking in and I don’t have my keys. This went on for 15-20 minutes till I asked for a manager. And then it took another 25 minutes for them to sort out their issues. Upon checkout, we had a $100 resort credit for each room which should have been applied to the spa charges. It wasn’t. It took them another 15 minutes to figure out how to apply the credit “because we were checked in twice”. I still think our check-in/checkout issues are a one-off. So, given the good times we had outside of these issues, I will consider staying here again although for this stay I’ll take away 2 stars for the snafus.

    Garza blanca never disappoints!¡!

    Everything is just great at garza blanca from the rooms, the service and the food. All the employees are really great. The butlers Luis and Omar are just great. Can't wait to return. The steakhouse restaurant was really good. Noi excellent pasta and the room service awesome

    Not worth the money

    We just checked in. Spent $1100 plus for a 1 bedroom OCEAN VIEW ROOM advertised with OCEAN view from the rooms and just checked in to a room looking at buildings. Only some partial view from the corner of the balcony. Please see pictures attached from our rooms. Complete misrepresentation. I spoke to 3 people at front desk including a front desk manager and they simply claim this is the same category. I will keep posting. See picture below of what is advertised and paid for and two pictures of what we were given. Day 1) Just had dinner at Hiroshi, beautiful place, fantastic views, Service was exceptional and great food. Restaurant staff are very pleasant. Day2) I sent an email to General Manager, Arturo Esponda but never heard back as these automated responds to reviews are completely meaningless. Day 3) Volcanos steak house, low quality steak, from appetizers to desert, very basic and disappointing. Still staring at buildings from our room while we paid a premium for OCEAN VIEW. Day 4) Noi Restaurant ( rooftop) Beautiful setting and amazing views. Bad service and very average food. We ordered a lobster which is not included in All inclusive package expecting to pay a pay for it but had no Idea it is an outrageous $170. See below picture of what I booked and two pictures of what we got.
