We had a group of 11 go to Dreams Onyx in Jan/Feb 2026, we all enjoyed our stays and found the water-slide pool to be "our spot", this is where we met Bartender Anthony who made our stay even more special by going above and beyond in so many ways to keep our group happy (and never thirsty). The Taco Van was a highlight for lunches everyday, and the a-la-carte restaurants did not disappoint. My son loved the Ice Cream cafe and Coco's cafe was great for a quick snack and hit of caffeine.

Perfect doesn’t say enough!
Wonderful family vacation at Dreams Onyx!! So many places to relax together, whether you want loud music by the pool or quiet relaxation, lots of seating in bars and other spaces, amazing shows, excellent staff, delicious varied food, super fun waterpark slides and lazy river - this resort gets all the top marks! This was my second visit and I can’t wait to go back! And for anyone feeling like they need preferred, we didn’t have it either stay and still loved our visit!

Relaxing week away
I can't say enough about the staff at the resort. They bent over backwards to make we received everything we wanted and needed. Especially, Felix, at the MIX pool bar & Randy at the beach. |Can't wait to go back.

A resort you are sad to leave and can hardly wait to return.
This was our 3rd time at this resort, two with family and once with just adults. It has something for everyone. We have done preferred and highly recommend it, as it gives you an indoor restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The preferred lounges were a great meeting place before dinner with excellent drinks served by Julio and Ronny. Our butlers Aris and Starling were the best, and we hope to see them again. A big shout out to our favorite friends at the preferred adult pool. Nelis, Mariano, Angel and a wonderful bartender Carlos. Our servers at breakfast and lunch make your stay so enjoyable. Who doesn’t love Juan ( the coffee man). Victor, Meibis, Michael and Jose. They all work so hard and become our waiters at the many restaurants for dinner. Be sure to tip them well. Another perk to this. resort is being able to visit Breathless next door ( 18 and older) The beach was great in January, hardly any seaweed. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the pools immaculate. Some complain the pools are cold, but we found them refreshing when the outside temperatures are mid-80’s.
