Beautifully designed hotel, it’s all inclusive but not really. They have certain alcohol that you will pay for and “elevate your experience “ options in the restaurant that are also not included. So ask what’s in the inclusive plan before you order. Overall the staff is very nice and attentive to all your needs. Food is good. Beach area is nice. It took us less than 10 min to walk there or you can take shuttle there but they get busy. My family and I enjoyed our trip.

Just ok
My family went dec 20th, and the resort was not ready for guests. The buffet was not open till the end of our trip. The food did not meet our expectations. Lack of choices and food was very blah. Our swim up suite was great, the gardens are lush and beautiful. We stayed by the pool most of the days, as when you went to the beach, you would be harassed all day by vendors trying to sell you things. Gets old real fast! Not much evening entertainment. Only a band playing in the voltage bar in the evenings, which were quite good! The employees were great! Always have a smile on there face.

I would like to thank Anol server and Alissia our hostess at the Parda Buffet for the outstanding service and attention that he provided, the whole staff at Parda is exceptional, they really made us feel at home , keep up the good work. If I can make a comment to the executive chef, please make sure that you put someone at the buffet station that can communicate with the customer, it is very important, Thank you to all the staff, I know that everyone is working very hard to set Zel apart from all the rest , Cheers 🥂

Service is SO BAD
I have been going to this resort for over 10 years. In general we really like the atmosphere and the people. They just did a massive renovation and the place does really look great. The people are nice and they really do try their best. But I have to say they only opened Dec. 20, they day I got there and the service was so bad it was almost laughable. They are so disorganized that the day my son came to the hotel (separate days then the rest of my family showed up they would not let him onto the property). I actually had to leave the beach, walk to the gate and argue with security to let him in. even then, they would not allow him to come in until I got outside help. The food was almost unedible and the options are ridiculously small. They are grossly disorganized. The steaks were grey and took Check in takes over a hour and check out takes just as long. I was hungry every day and after a while despite the fact that everyone is really nice, honestly they are so grossly disorganized after a while you just give up. I really do not know if I could go back there, I have been going there for so many years, I brought two families with me so another 9 people came with us but honestly I am embarrassed at how bad the service was. I would never recommend it to anyone.

Love Zel Punta Cana
Zen Punta Cana is an amazing resort -- our family of 4 all thought the food was great at the main buffet and at the 3 other restaurants. It was a SHORT walk from our room to the beach (7 min down a lovely street) or a 2 min golf cart ride (and we never had to wait for a ride either). Beach was beautiful but we also loved relaxing at the Zel pools where we had no issues finding shaded chairs. There were daily art classes, fitness classes and a gym that isn't huge but worked totally fine for our family. The rooms are HUGE with large balconies and were decorated very nicely. In general, the layout of the property just works -- everything is close together and it was easy to meet up after dinner with other guests by the bar and pool table and then hang out in the nightclub which had some great live music. Finally, the service was excellent all around. The entire staff was very helpful and happy and they made our vacation lively and fun! We will be back for sure!
