Book this hotel with confidence!
Romer House is a very hip, adults only, centrally located hotel in Oahu. The location can NOT be beat! We walked everywhere with ease. Also very easy to meet up at other hotels for different tours that we scheduled. Ubers abound everywhere as well. The staff was exceptional. VERY friendly. Grant at the front desk was our favorite. We will forever gush over the Toto toilet in our room. It was fantastic! Never thought I'd get so excited over a bathroom! Book this hotel with confidence. You will not be disappointed.

Don’t stay here
Extremely disappointed. We were charged a smoking fee and we don’t smoke. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and it was not ideal. It’s an old building and a mediocre experience. We checked out and there was no mention of a fee. We got home and discovered a fee for $1000. Again, we don’t smoke so not sure how they can get away with charging this. There are other reviews posted with the exact same issue. Don’t stay here.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
Absolutely appalling experience – SCAMMED with a $500 smoking fee! My partner and I were charged a $500 smoking fee as we were checking out, despite the fact that neither of us smoke – and my partner is actually asthmatic. We were completely shocked and blindsided by the accusation. When we tried to dispute it, every staff member gave the same robotic response: “Sorry but there’s nothing we can do, take it up with your bank.” No one would listen, no one cared, and they were all incredibly rude and unhelpful. We’ve now sent multiple emails asking for proof of this so-called “evidence” – including serial numbers and make/models of their smoke detection equipment – and have received no response at all. It’s clear they’re avoiding accountability. After digging through recent Google reviews, we discovered this isn’t an isolated incident – at least SIX other guests have reported the same scam in the past two weeks. Three of them in just THREE DAYS. This seems to be a pattern of dishonest behaviour from this property. Be warned: if you stay here, you risk being falsely accused and ripped off. We will be escalating this with our bank and consumer affairs, but we want to make sure others are aware of what’s happening here. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fraudulent smoking in room accusations and $500 charge.
Absolutely disgraceful smoke alarm technology they use. We have been wrongly charged and accused of smoking in the room, when neither of us have smoked in our life and I’m even an asthmatic to top it off. We used the steamer, hair dryer and my partner even used her straighter at the time of the so called “smoking alert”. I told them I’d happily take them to the room, use the steamer and let them know it would set it off again. They refused to let me show them that as they said their technology is apparently fool proof so there’s no need. Looking through reviews its obvious it’s happened to a lot of people staying here before and they refuse to reply to those specific reviews. So it’s quite obvious they know their technology is faulty and not 100% correct. Also instead of investigating the room once the alarm was triggered they happily let us know when we were checking out. You’d think they would come up to the room straight away to investigate after an alarm is triggered. Do not stay here, you’ll get scammed like us.

PERFECT PLACE FOR A CHILL VACATION
We had a wonderful time at Romer House Waikiki! Actually spent our honeymoon here! It's located in a perfect location that is so close to MANY delicious restaurants, bars and the beach! Very clean, great service & atmosphere. We truly enjoyed every minute here.
