Nov 05, 2025Wonderful place, but they try to sell you a time share
Our experience here was absolutely amazing. We were very well taken care of by Houston and Jesus. Every day our room would get cleaned multiple times a day and every time it was done perfectly. Our butlers, Houston and Jesus went above and beyond for us every day that we were here. The atmosphere here was beautiful. The pools and beach access were amazing as well. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was when we first arrived our concierge was very pushy into selling us a time share, or at least spending an entire morning making us participate in a tour, a meeting, another meeting with 3 different people, and trying to get us to spend thousands of dollars on a time share, which is a scam. We could not get out of doing this no matter how much we told him we did not want too, but other guests were able. Unfortunately it wasted more time than we anticipated. They tell you it’s only an hour and a half, but in all reality, we were busy dealing with these people from 9:30am- a little bit after noon. They gift you with a 30 min massage and a free catamaran ride for dealing with their pushiness, but at the end of the day we didn’t want to do either of those things. We wanted to be outside getting our tan on and having fun in the pool/ ocean. For the price we paid, we got everything we wanted and then some. Our room was right above the lobby, which made going to bed early a little difficult because there are constant parties until 11/12pm every night. We were okay with this, but we did want to get to bed early most of the nights we stayed. We were fine falling asleep to the sounds of down stairs. For us this wasn’t a problem, but for others it may be. I think we got the best room in the whole resort. It had a perfect view of the entire villa. The location of this resort itself is also perfect. We did not leave the resort, everything we needed was right here anyways. Over all we had a wonderful experience here and we plan to come back next year.

Great resort. I would definitely come back.
Excellent resort. Valentin our butler was awesome. He was very helpful and very accommodating. Service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and took time to acknowledge you and were very helpful. The housekeeping service was excellent during the day and at night turn down. Loved the chocolates on the bed at night. Pool staff were very efficient and there were always lots of towels. No shortage of chairs by the pool. I had 3 massages. The spa is very nice. My husband and I golfed 5 times and the course is very user friendly and very close to the resort. They shuttle you over by van or golf cart.

Notwithstanding my wife’s challenges, we had a great time with our friends Peter and Jill (members) and Brian and Denise
Unfortunately my wife got a chest infection but Valentin and your medical Center were a great help and support. We really enjoyed the service , the meals, the overall cleanliness of the resort and the fine friendly staff.our room was well looked after room service we used 3 times and it was great. Valentine our butler was truly concerned with my wife’s condition and it was much appreciated. He even brought eucalyptus leaves and hot water for a breathing exercise. We would definitely come back.

Absolutely Amazing!! This was our third time visiting Joia Bavaro and we will be back!! We have become members because of the way we are treated and how welcomed we feel when we are there. The resort is beautiful, and the staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs at all times. The staff takes great pride in all of their hard work, and it shows through their smiles and happy disposition. From the entertainment group including Yeli, the supervisor, Smiley, Shaggy, Dai, and Sugar who make sure that you engage in fun activities throughout the day and night, never skip a beat!! The pool bartending staff, including Eric who is always singing and greeting each and every guest at the resort , and our butler, Jose, who went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed and that we were enjoying our stay on a daily basis, to the restaurant and buffet staff who greet you with a warm smile while attending to your every need during each and every meal. Alta Grazia is such an important asset to their staff. When we saw her, she went out of her way to greet us with the warmest smile and hug!! She remembered us from our last visit. Our previous butler, Danilo, also remembered us from our past visit and went out of his way to greet us with the biggest smile along with offering his services if we needed anything even though he wasn't our butler during this visit. We have been to other Joia's that were spectacular, but Joia Bavaro in Punta Cana is beyond spectacular!

Another successful vacation in our happy place
We have been here countless tines!, at least 8, but I have lost count. As always our butlers, Casaer & Armando, were amazing. Samuel & Varehalla in the buffet were awesome as always. We had rain but we didn't let that ruin our fun. We enjoyed daily spa massages. We look forward to our return in 2026.
