Desperately need to fix AC and Plumbing in the hotel rooms
I organized a vacation to celebrate our 50th birthdays with 14 people. I was a bit embarassed and felt responsible by the experience of the hotel rooms....Air Conditioning wasn't working and there were also plumbing issues. 1 of the couples actually booked a room next door at the Marriott just so they could sleep at night due to the heat in the room. The pool was nice, the beach was nice, snorkeling by the hotel was excellent. Explorer's club was great, and the staff was very friendly however. If they could fix the AC and plumbing in the rooms my experience would have been much different, as good sleep at night in order to re-energize for the next day of vacation and activities is a very important part of my vacation experience.

Stay elsewhere! Curacao is goregous--but not here.
Awful. Was lied to about rooms and told rooms were not available after flying hundreds of miles from the US, and then offered a stay across the street. Witnessed a couple checking out to go to another hotel becuase their shower fept flooding repeatedly. Talked to them myself. Two hours later, after refusing to cancel our reservations, the front desk asst manager denied telling me that no rooms were available and offered me the room with the broken shower. Terrible.

Not a good experience
The Island Beach Clubs are OK, the beauty is that the beach is RAW. The Hotel I stayed was NOT okay from the day I arrived to checking out. I arrived Sunday at around 4pm. Upon arrival I waited over 1 hs and 50 min to check in. Only after I was visibly upset I was given some space to check in. From the 2 elevators, one was down. There was not a prompt attention to repair as I left Thursday and it was still not working. It took forever to get up/down and many times had to wait 3-4 rounds in order to go up or come down. Twice went to look for towels and didn't get a chance to get one. Was told that some people take 2-3 per person and they just don't have enough. After complaining to the reception I was given on day 3. The doors are all swollen and chipped and dirty, the AC is not preforming, shower are moldy. The food was below all inclusive expectation. For someone that doesn't drink Alcohol and is on the healthier side of the street - there are VERY limited options. NO alternative milks. Very basic set of Bread (or gluten free). The buffet was closed 2 nights in a row. So forced to eat at the restaurants, the sea food was the best out of the 3. The Italian was simply not good. Glued together pasta, no taste, and or excess dressing on the salads. The staff, not all but a good amount of them, had an attitude when asking for items. All together, for an hotel that you are spending over $400 per night in low season. IT is NOT worth it. I will not be returning and I will not recommend this hotel to friends.

Nightmares
Looking over all the places I've traveled to, this was the worst. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. There were two elevators and only one working. All guests had to share the same elevator coming and going. The stairs were never pointed out for use. Once they (stairs) were after inquiring, I understood why. They were covered in dirt from not being swept or cleaned. We enjoyed the beauty of laying by the pool, but there were no towels to dry off once you got out of the water. Twice we went to the office to get towels to go to the pool. There was no attendant present to monitor the towels by the pool shack. Upon returning to your room six hours later, there were no towels and bath clothes for showering. Why wait six hours before returning, because if you returned any sooner chances are the maid has not gotten to your room yet for cleaning. The noisy air condition fan was okay during the day, because we weren't in the room. Night-time sleeping was simply a nightmare. You turned and tossed through-out the night with the vibration.

Great island but resort is lacking
This property was very disappointing. The resort is dated and in need of significant updates. While there were a few bright spots, the staff overall was unfriendly and unhelpful. The food options were limited on certain days and the food quality forced us to seek meals off property. No AC in rooms. Broken elevators. Curacao is beautiful and I would love to travel there again in the future. However, when I do I won't be going back to Dreams!
