Fabulous experience
Our experience at Coco’s was wonderful from start to finish. The relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we wanted and expected. The rustic cabin was perfect with a fabulous view of the bay overlooking our balcony and plunge pool. The food was fantastic throughout our stay with plenty of variety and first class presentation. Above all else, the biggest selling point for cocos is the staff. Pleasant, accommodating and willing to help out with any request. They are what makes cocos what it is and keeps us coming back.

Expensive but not worth it
The resort location is amazing. However resort is not modern and needs a lot of maintenance . For example no phones in the room so there is no way to communicate with front desk if you need towel or anything extra. Our toilet was broken we had to walk down and then ask staff which took another 3 hours . When we came back my husband got severe diarheaa travelers diarheee which lasting him more than 5 day. We came to vacation but he got really sick. Food is not as good as reviews suggest. Not everyone likes island food. Basically its not the best food. Staff were nice to us though. You only eat there rest on beach no activities in the resort overall if you go dont book more than 2 days its not needed. Pool inside the rooms water is so cold you will not enjoy it. I would recommend going to Miami instead of there

Great Experience and good exercise to boot!
Cocos is on a gorgeous site and offers great service and fantastic food. It is not accessible for those with mobility issues but if you're able to walk and climb stairs, it's worth every step! I would return.

Amazing Staff, food and location, but……
We had a fantastic stay at Coco’s over New Year, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food is exceptional. The only reason I haven’t given Coco’s a 5 Star review is because I think there is a really thin line between ‘rustic’ and ‘tired’ and sadly in a few areas the hotel is looking tired rather than rustic. Lots of temporary repairs and patch ups (here they haven’t even bothered to stain the wood to make it blend in!, outside lights that don’t work and sadly the rooms whilst being in stunning locations need some love and attention. (Doors that don’t lock, walls that are marked and scratched, shrubbery overgrown and privacy fences between cottages with numerous holes. It would have been nice to have a managers cocktail evening or a chance to engage with the management to give feedback as we felt a lot of things that got feedback to reception don’t seem to go any further or be acted upon. We had some concerns around a new set of steps installed leading down to one of the beaches that wasn’t secure or level, reception assured us they would get them looked at. It never happened. Same with concerns around the hotel pool and the cleanliness of it, various guest we met avoided the pool due to the sheer amount of debri in the bottom of the pool which was left untouched for days. Would we return? Absolutely. I just hope at some stage the management consider some much needed upgrades to get the place back to its former glories.

Recommended! Perfect rustic luxury
Booked this place for pictures and reviews and it lived up to expectations. We were in a sunset cottage halfway up the hill, and our verandah was jaw droppingly beautiful. Sitting there with my husband as the sun went down with a drink was as good as life gets. It also felt very private because of the beautiful, lush grounds. In the morning, we could watch hummingbirds feeding, and cheeky Bananaquits coming to inspect us. In fact, if you love wildlife, this is a good option, because behind the hotel is a freshwater lake with lots of interesting Caribbean birds, including Whistling Ducks. This was wild Caribbean, but without the roughing it, because the food and service was amazingly good. Such a friendly, welcoming team. My only note of caution, if you are really into snorkelling, it’s not right for you, as the snorkelling from the hotel is poor due to sandyness of the water. I managed one good snorkel under the restaurant in the evening, but usually sea and jet skis churn it up too much. We took a trip to Cades reef though, and that was brilliant. All in all, this place is special in a world where Caribbean hotels are becoming bigger, glitzier and more impersonal.
