The hotel is great, but the best experience was Cristian in the el Dorado Steak House. His service was top notch, and if we could we would go every night. The Hotel is already 6 years old, but you can not feel it at all. Also you can't always get a beach chair.

Awesome experience in Family Selection
Amazing stay with our 3-year-old. We stayed in the Family Selection area. The butlers were amazing. The staff was amazing. The beach was amazing, with no slugs or rocks, just perfect soft sand. Honestly, nothing bad to say. We’d stay here for a month if we could!

Moved to Grand Palladium from Planet Hollywood. As soon as we arrived up selling started after a 12hr travel day, not a nice welcome. Our room was never cleaned properly and had to keep asking guest services for towels or coffee. The soft furnishings were grubby, needed a good wash. The buffet was basic cheap quality food, the bread was always stale and hard, everywhere, people would squeeze it to try & find fresh ones . Normally there are head chefs at other hotels that stand out front to make sure everything is in order. The pool bar staff main pool were often rude and dismissive, we are used to friendly chatty staff , the buggy guys all very friendly and helpful, but often had to wait ages for one to turn up. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of butterflies I even saw a hummingbird. They do bring out bits at the main pool such as zip lines & bouncy slide which was fun . The Fizz pool by the beach is a great place & staff there are fabulous, just a short walk to the beach & lunch at the Poseidon restaurant .The coffee shop was amazing with great coffee apple pie & friendly staff , the restaurants were great to get away from the buffet. The bit we hated was the weddings & convenience the big groups were so loud shouting and screaming at the entertainment it ruined it so we went back to the room. All in all we had a great holiday but wouldn't come back . Would 100% recommend the spa , calming experience. Went to the Chic show which was a fun night £55 each , but still tried to up sale in the middle of the show that we paid for 😞

Little piece of Paradise!
PTC Experience Travelled early September, first time at CM. BD Experience: Arrived at CUN airport after a massive delay due to Westjet. Lady at BDE booth said it could be 15/20/25 mins since we were delayed. Much to our surprise, within 5 mins we were being loaded up and whisked off to the resort. Easy ride, no crazy traffic/accidents. Arrived in about 40mins or so. Slightly annoyed with the almost 5 hours early pick up to return to the airport at the end of our trip. We couldn’t even check in yet as the counter didn’t open until 10am. Again, only 40mins travel time. PTC Lobby Check-in: Check in with Sojo was easygoing and smooth, and also assisted with dinner reso’s that evening. Thanks to Bartender Daniel for keeping us adequately hydrated upon our arrival! Met with Joshua the next day to book balance of meals, excursion etc. To the PTC cart drivers, Alfredo, Luigi and ones we missed- thank you so much for getting us around the resort. Special shout out to Jose who was lovely, friendly and just pleasant to be around. We never got a chance to meet your daughter Joanna, but will keep an eye out for her our next visit. Bartender Miguel in FS Nest is a gem and OMG -so wonderful!!! Thank you for your attention to detail and making sure our favourites were stocked and providing delicious new drink ideas. Keep the Aperol close by! I’ll be back Haha Biggest negative: Ordered room service at 6:11am via the tv. Very basic- 3 coffees, toast and French pastries. At 7:15am we had to leave for our excursion and the food still hadn’t arrived. Very disappointed as our order was simple, and had to leave the resort without anything to eat. Mentioned it to the building butler on our way out but never heard anything more about it. Another odd food related item: was booked into Helios for dinner, arrived early for a drink to discover the restaurant was closed! We had a confirmation, dates and everything correct but was closed. Msg’d our PTC butler Carlos, and after some time was able to get us into Chang Thai. Reason for the trip was to celebrate two milestone birthdays. One recently passed, and one while we were there. The staff had birthday celebrations at the main buffet at breakfast. They brought out cute little desserts, a napkin headband and sang Happy Birthday. They also embarrassed my friend at Poseidon for lunch and again with a proper cake at Sumputori for dinner. I was skeptical about the room decorations as I hadn’t heard or been asked anything so a quick msg to the concerige inquiring if we should be expecting anything and was pleasantly surprised they were able to get the room decorated while we were at dinner. Our PTC concierge, Carlos Juarez, went above and beyond to make sure my birthday was just as special. Our Chic Cabaret reso’s were amazing - great seats and decorated table. Had a special shout out at the beginning with the other birthdays, anniversaries etc. It was perfect from start to finish, including having a cart waiting outside our building to take us over to the village. No detail was overlooked and man, we sure felt the love! Our lovely waiter, Valentin and Chef Mery at CHIC deserve all the praises! Our meal was phenomenal and no detail was overlooked. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. PTC conceirge, Luis Cavazos was equally as wonderful and arranged for us to participate in the PTC Splatter Experience! It’s a fun activity and definitely recommend it, we all had a great time! Luis and Carlos, you both made my first trip as “family” truly memorable! I hope to continue with the excellent service when I return in a few months! Victor at PTC beach bar- so sad we only discovered you on our second last day. Your drinks and kindness wasn’t overlooked. Thank you for the premium bevies on the beach (yes we got trashed haha) and bringing food from the food truck. You came in clutch on our last beach day and I look forward to seeing you much sooner on my next trip! Israel, our beach bartender- thank you for being so attentive and making sure we stayed hydrated while getting some sun. Congrats on your accomplishments- and keep at it, you got this! Thank you to Gabriela and Carlos at the Zentropia spa. My massage was wonderful and thank you to Carlos for escorting me around the spa and timing the circuits for me. I did the cold plunge once and never again! Haha The resort itself, absolutely immaculate. Such a beautiful complex, lush landscaping, beautiful beach and pools, delicious food. It really was difficult to find fault, outside of a few minor issues. Will be happily returning. Sidenote: We did the Rio Secreto excursion and while it’s only 1hr 15min drive from the resort, it takes much longer making stops to pick up other people. I personally wouldn’t do it again. Very long day, lots of time sat in the van.

The staff would not serve you unless you give them a big tip! They would be waving the tip jar around. The bars would be running out of alcohol throughout the day and would not replenish it with new bottles
